We construct a (non Kähler) compact complex 3-dimensional manifold $X$ having two following properties:
1) for any domain $D$ in $C^2$ every meromorphic map $f$ from this domain into $X$ extends to a meromorphic map from the envelope of meromorphy $\hat D$ of $D$ into $X$;
2) but there exist a meromorphic map $F$ from a punctured ball $B_*$ in $C^3$ into $X$ which doens't extend meromorphically to the origin.
In other words, one can allways remove the singularities of complex codimesion two for the meromorphic maps into this $X$, but only up to some subset of complex codimension three.
A description of the appearing obstructions in the terms of Lelong numbers is given. Further some applications of the techniques, developped in this paper, to the questions of separate analyticity are also described.
In this paper, we prove two normality criteria for families of some functions concerning shared values, the results generalize those given by Hu and Meng. Some examples are given to show the sharpness of our results.
We give a simple proof, with some complements, of a result of Cerveau and Lins Neto, concerning the existence of meromorphic first integrals for germs of codimension one foliations with an invariant real hypersurface.
In this paper we prove some normality criteria for a family of meromorphic functions concerning shared analytic functions, which extend or generalized some result obtained by Y. F. Wang, M. L. Fang~\cite{WF} and J. Qui, T. Zhu ~\cite{QZ}.
In this paper, we prove some uniqueness theorems concerning the derivatives of meromorphic functions when they share three sets. The obtained results improve some recent existing results.
In this article we prove a sufficient condition of quasi-normality in higher dimension for a family of meromorphic mappings in which each pair of functions of family shares some moving hypersurfaces. We also prove a normality criterion concerning shared moving hypersurfaces.
In this paper we prove a number of results concerning uniqueness of a meromorphic function as well as its derivative sharing one or two sets. In particular, we deal with the specific question raised in [18], [19], [20] and ultimately improve the result of Banerjee-Bhattacharjee [4].
In this paper, we prove some uniqueness results which improve and generalize several earlier works. Also, we prove a value distribution result concerning $f^{(k)}$ which provides a partial answer to a question of Fang and Wang [A note on the conjectures of Hayman, Mues and Gol'dberg, Comp. Methods, Funct. Theory (2013)13, 533-543].
In this paper, we have investigated the uniqueness problems of entire and meromorphic functions concerning differential polynomials sharing a small function. Our results radically extended and improved the results of Bhoosnurmath-Pujari and Harina - Anand not only by sharing small function instead of fixed point but also reducing the lower bound of $ n $. The authors Harina-Anand made plenty of mistakes in their paper. We have corrected all of them in a more convenient way. At last some open questions have been posed for further study in this direction.
This note is to concern a generalization to the case of twisted coefficients of the classical theory of Abelian differentials on a compact Riemann surface. We apply the Dirichlet's principle to a modified energy functional to show the existence of differentials with twisted coefficients of the second and third kinds under a suitable assumption on residues.
In this paper, we study $q$-difference analogues of several central results in value distribution theory of several complex variables such as $q$-difference versions of the logarithmic derivative lemma, the second main theorem for hyperplanes and hypersurfaces, and a Picard type theorem. Moreover, the Tumura-Clunie theorem concerning partial $q$-difference polynomials is also obtained. Finally, we apply this theory to investigate the growth of meromorphic solutions of linear partial $q$-difference equations.
With the help of the notion of weighted sharing of sets, this paper dealt with the question posed by \emph{Yi} \cite{Yi-SC-1994} regarding the uniqueness of meromorphic functions concerning three set sharing. A result has been proved which significantly improved the recent results of {Banerjee - Ahamed} [Bull. Polish Acad. Sci., {62}(3)(2014), 243--256.], \{Banerjee - Mukherjee} [Hokkaido Math. J., {37}(2008), 507--530.] and {Banerjee - Majumder} [Analysis, {34}(2)(2014), 143--162.] by relaxing the nature of sharing. Several examples have been exhibited to show the sharpness of the cardinaliti…
In this paper, we firstly give the definition of meromorphic function element and algebroid mapping. We also construct the algebroid function family in which the arithmetic, differential operations is closed. On basis of these works, we firstly proved the Second Main Theorem concerning small algebroid functions for v-valued algebroid functions.
This thesis is concerned with extending the idea of geodesic completeness from pseudo-Riemannian to complex geometry: we take, however a completely holomorphicpoint of view; that is to say, a 'metric' will be a (meromorphic) symmetric section of the twice covariant holomorphic tensor bundle. We shall hint at the need of reformulating some aspects of the theory of differential equations in the complex domain, originating in the interpenetration betwixt differential and algebraic aspects when analytical continuation is pursued. The notion itself of path should be reformulated: we remark that geo…
A meromorphic quadratic differential with poles of order two, on a compact Riemann surface, induces a measured foliation on the surface, with a spiralling structure at any pole that is determined by the complex residue of the differential at the pole. We introduce the space of such measured foliations, and prove that for a fixed Riemann surface, any such foliation is realized by a quadratic differential with second order poles at marked points. Furthermore, such a differential is uniquely determined if one prescribes complex residues at the poles that are compatible with the transverse measure…
An example in the article shows that the first derivative of $f(z)=\frac{2}{1-e^{-2z}}$ sharing $0$ CM and $1,\infty$ IM with its shift $πi$ cannot obtain they are equal. In this paper, we study the uniqueness of meromorphic function sharing small functions with their shifts concerning its $k-th$ derivatives. We improves the author's result \cite{h} from entire function to meromorphic function, the first derivative to its differential-difference polynomial, and also finite values to small functions. As for $k=0$, we obtain: Let $f(z)$ be a transcendental meromorphic function of $ρ_{2}(f)<1$, l…
The subject of our thesis is the uniqueness theory of meromorphic functions and it is devoted to problems concerning Bruck conjecture, set sharing and related topics. The tool, we used in our discussions is classical Nevanlinna theory of meromorphic functions. In 1996, in order to find the relation between an entire function with its derivative, counterpart sharing one value CM, a famous conjecture was proposed by R. Bruck. Since then the conjecture and its analogous results have been investigated by many researchers and continuous efforts have been put on by them. In our thesis, we have obtai…
We give an overview of some recent developments concerning harmonic and other moments of plane domains, their relationship to the Cauchy and exponential transforms, and to the meromorphic resultant and elimination function. The paper also connects to certain topics in mathematical physics, for example domain deformations generated by harmonic gradients (Laplacian growth) and related integrable structures.
We investigate the growth of the Nevanlinna Characteristic of f(z+η) for a fixed ηin this paper. In particular, we obtain a precise asymptotic relation between T(r,f(z+η) and T(r,f), which is only true for finite order meromorphic functions. We have also obtained the proximity function and pointwise estimates of f(z+η)/f(z) which is a version of discrete analogue of the logarithmic derivative of f(z). We apply these results to give growth estimates of meromorphic solutions to higher order linear difference equations. This also solves an old problem of Whittaker concerning a first order differe…
The theory of 'zeta functions of fractal strings' has been initiated by the first author in the early 1990s, and developed jointly with his collaborators during almost two decades of intensive research in numerous articles and several monographs. In 2009, the same author introduced a new class of zeta functions, called `distance zeta functions', which since then, has enabled us to extend the existing theory of zeta functions of fractal strings and sprays to arbitrary bounded (fractal) sets in Euclidean spaces of any dimension. A natural and closely related tool for the study of distance zeta f…
Let f be a real entire function whose set S(f) of singular values is real and bounded. We show that, if f satisfies a certain function-theoretic condition (the "sector condition"), then $f$ has no wandering domains. Our result includes all maps of the form f(z)=λsinh(z)/z + a, where a is a real constant and λ is positive. We also show the absence of wandering domains for certain non-real entire functions for which S(f) is bounded and the iterates of f tend to infinity uniformly on S(f). As a special case of our theorem, we give a short, elementary and non-technical proof that the Julia set of …
