We investigate the joint moments of the 2k-th power of the characteristic polynomial of random unitary matrices with the 2h-th power of the derivative of this same polynomial. We prove that for a fixed h, the moments are given by rational functions of k, up to a well-known factor that already arises when h=0. We fully describe the denominator in those rational functions (this had already been done by Hughes experimentally), and define the numerators through various formulas, mostly sums over partitions. We also use this to formulate conjectures on joint moments of the zeta function and its derivatives, or even the same questions for the Hardy function, if we use a ``real'' version of characteristic polynomials. Our methods should easily be applicable to other similar problems, for instance with higher derivatives of characteristic polynomials.

This work computes the asymptotics of the non-integer moments of the logarithmic derivative of characteristic polynomials of matrices from the $SO(2N+1)$ ensemble. It follows from work of Alvarez and Snaith who computed the asymptotics of the integer moments of the same statistic over both $SO(N)$ ensembles as well as the $USp(2N)$ ensemble.

We study moments of the logarithmic derivative of characteristic polynomials of orthogonal and symplectic random matrices. In particular, we compute the asymptotics for large matrix size, $N$, of these moments evaluated at points which are approaching 1. This follows work of Bailey, Bettin, Blower, Conrey, Prokhorov, Rubinstein and Snaith where they compute these asymptotics in the case of unitary random matrices.
We establish in this paper sharp lower bounds for the $2k$-th moment of the derivative of the Riemann zeta function on the critical line for all real $k \geq 0$.
Following the work of Conrey, Rubinstein and Snaith and Forrester and Witte we examine a mixed moment of the characteristic polynomial and its derivative for matrices from the unitary group U(N) (also known as the CUE) and relate the moment to the solution of a Painleve differential equation. We also calculate a simple form for the asymptotic behaviour of moments of logarithmic derivatives of these characteristic polynomials evaluated near the unit circle.
We obtain the asymptotic main term of moments of arbitrary derivatives of $L$-functions in the function field setting. Specifically, the first, second, and mixed fourth moments. The average is taken over all non-trivial characters of a prime modulus $Q \in \mathbb{F}_q [t]$, and the asymptotic limit is as $\mathrm{deg} \, Q \longrightarrow \infty$. This extends the work of Tamam who obtained the asymptotic main term of low moments of $L$-functions, without derivatives, in the function field setting. It also expands on the work of Conrey, Rubinstein, and Snaith who cojectured, using random matr…
Assuming the Riemann hypothesis, we establish an upper bound for the $2k$-th discrete moment of the derivative of the Riemann zeta-function at nontrivial zeros, where $k$ is a positive real number. Our upper bound agrees with conjectures of Gonek and Hejhal and of Hughes, Keating, and O'Connell. This sharpens a result of Milinovich. Our proof builds upon a method of Adam Harper concerning continuous moments of the zeta-function on the critical line.
We compute an asymptotic formula for the twisted moment of GL(3)xGL(2) L-functions and their derivatives. As an application we prove that symmetric-square lifts of GL(2) Maass forms are uniquely determined by the central values of the derivatives of GL(3)xGL(2) L-functions.
We establish upper bounds for the joint moments of the $2k^{\text{th}}$ power of the Riemann zeta function with the $2h^{\text{th}}$ power of its derivative for $0 \leq h \leq 1$ and $1 \leq k \leq 2$. These bounds are expected to be sharp based upon predictions from random matrix theory.
Yıldırım obtained an asymptotic formula of the discrete moment of $|ζ(\frac{1}{2}+it)|$ over the zero of the higher derivatives of Hardy's $Z$-function. We give a generalization of his result on Hardy's $Z$-function.
We study the $2k$-th discrete moment of the derivative of the Riemann zeta-function at nontrivial zeros to establish sharp lower bounds for all real $k \geq 0$ under the Riemann hypothesis (RH).
