Another look at the Burns-Krantz Theorem

We obtain a generalization of the Burns-Krantz rigidity theorem for holomorphic self-mappings of the unit disk in the spirit of the classical Schwarz-Pick Lemma and its continuous version due to L.Harris via the generation theory for one-parameter semigroups. In particular, we establish geometric and analytic criteria for a holomorphic function on the disk with a boundary null point to be a generator of a semigroup of linear fractional transformations under some relations between three boundary derivatives of the function at this point.

A Burns-Krantz type theorem for domains with corners

The goal of this paper is twofold. First, to give purely local boundary uniqueness results for maps defined only on one side as germs at a boundary point and hence not necessarily sending any domain to itself and also under the weaker assumption that $f(z)=z+o(|z-p|^3)$ holds only for $z$ in a proper cone in $D$ with vertex $p$. Such results have no analogues in one complex variable in contrast to the situation when a domain is preserved. And second, to extend the above results from boundaries of domains to submanifolds of higher codimension.

Rigidity of Analytic Functions at the Boundary

A new elementary proof for a theorem of D. Burns and S. Krantz on the rigidity of the analytic self maps of the unit disc was recently discovered by L. Baracco, D. Zaitsev, and G. Zampieri. We use their argument to generalize Burns-Krantz theorems on the unit disc and on the unit ball of ${\mathbb C}^n$.

Slice regular functions have been extensively studied over the past decade, but much less is known about their boundary behavior. In this paper, we initiate the study of Julia theory for slice regular functions. Rigidity of holomorphic generators and one-parameter semigroups

In this paper we establish a rigidity property of holomorphic generators by using their local behavior at a boundary point $τ$ of the open unit disk $Δ$. Namely, if $f\in\mathrm{Hol}(Δ,\mathbb{C})$ is the generator of a one-parameter continuous semigroup $\{F_{t}\}_{t\geq0}$, we state that the equality $f(z)=o(|z-τ|^{3})$ when $z\toτ$ in each non-tangential approach region at $τ$ implies that $f$ vanishes identically on $Δ$. Note, that if $F$ is a self-mapping of $Δ$ then $f=I-F$ is a generator, so our result extends the boundary version of the Schwarz Lemma obtained by D. Burns and S. Krantz.…
