We discuss the local index formula of Connes-Moscovici for the isospectral noncommutative geometry that we have recently constructed on quantum SU(2). We work out the cosphere bundle and the dimension spectrum as well as the local cyclic cocycles yielding the index formula.

We define a representation of the unitary group $U(n)$ by metaplectic operators acting on $L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and consider the operator algebra generated by the operators of the representation and pseudodifferential operators of Shubin class. Under suitable conditions, we prove the Fredholm property for elements in this algebra and obtain an index formula.

We consider the Dirac operator of a general metric in the canonical conformal class on the noncommutative two torus, twisted by an idempotent (representing the $K$-theory class of a general noncommutative vector bundle), and derive a local formula for the Fredholm index of the twisted Dirac operator. We continue the investigation of twisted homology theories in the context of dimension drop phenomena. This work unifies previous equivariant index calculations in twisted cyclic cohomology. We do this by proving the existence of the resolvent cocycle, a finitely summable analogue of the JLO cocycle, under weaker smoothness hypotheses and in the more general setting of `modular' spectral triples. As an application we show that using our twisted resolvent cocycle, we can obtain a local index formula for the Podles sphere. We give a heat kernel proof of the algebraic index theorem for deformation quantization with separation of variables on a pseudo-Kahler manifold. We use normalizations of the canonical trace density of a star product and of the characteristic classes involved in the index formula for which this formula contains no extra constant factors.
Given a proper, cocompact action of a Lie groupoid, we define a higher index pairing between invariant elliptic differential operators and smooth groupoid cohomology classes. It is shown that every weak Jacobi form of weight zero and index one on a congruence subgroup of the full Jacobi group can be decomposed into $N=4$ superconformal characters. Additionally, a simple expression for the mock modular form determining the superconformal character coefficients is obtained, as well as a universal completion structure. Along the way, a useful vector-valued mock modular form is also found and studied. These results are applied to analyze some Jacobi trace functions associated to super vertex operator algebras and a distinguished sector.
We show that the index of an elliptic Fourier integral operator associated to a contact diffeomorphism $ϕ$ of cosphere bundles of two Riemannian manifolds X and Y is given by $\int_{B^*X}\hat{A}(T^*X)\expθ - \int_{B^*Y}\hat{A}(T^*Y)\expθ$. Here $B^*$ stands for the unit coball bundle and $θ$ is a certain characteristic class depending on the principal symbol of the Fourier integral operator. In the special case when X=Y we obtain a different proof of the theorem of Epstein and Melrose.
