Acyclic cluster algebras have an interpretation in terms of tilting objects in a Calabi-Yau category defined by some hereditary algebra. For a given quiver $Q$ it is thus desirable to decide if the cluster algebra defined by $Q$ is acyclic. We call $Q$ cluster-acyclic in this case, otherwise cluster-cyclic.
In this note we classify the cluster-cyclic quivers with three vertices using a Diophantine equation studied by Markov.
We study quantum dilogarithm identities for cyclic quivers following Reineke's idea via Ringel-Hall algebra approach. For any given discrete stability function for the cyclic quiver $Δ_n$ with $n$ vertices, we obtain certain cyclic quantum dilogarithm identities of order $n$ in the sense of Bytsko and Volkov.
In the case of cyclic quiver we prove that the deformed Harish-Chandra map whose existence was conjectured by Etingof and Ginzburg is well defined. As an application we prove Kirillov-type formula for the cyclotomic Bessel function.
We show that the generic Hall algebra of nilpotent representations of an oriented cycle specialised at $q=0$ is isomorphic to the generic extension monoid in the sense of Reineke. This continues the work of Reineke.
We show that the spherical subalgebra of the rational Cherednik algebra associated to the wreath product of a symmetric group and a cyclic group is isomorphic to a quotient of the ring of invariant differential operators on a space of representations of the cyclic quiver. This confirms a version of a conjecture of Etingof and Ginzburg in the case of cyclic groups. The proof is a straightforward application of work of Oblomkov on the deformed Harish-Chandra homomorphism, and of Crawley-Boevey and of Gan and Ginzburg on preprojective algebras.
We define an analogue of the Caldero-Chapoton map (\cite{CC}) for the cluster category of finite dimensional nilpotent representations over a cyclic quiver. We prove that it is a cluster character (in the sense of \cite{Palu}) and satisfies some inductive formulas for the multiplication between the generalized cluster variables (the images of objects of the cluster category under the map). Moreover, we construct a $\mathbb{Z}$-basis for the algebras generated by all generalized cluster variables.
We describe the combinatorics of the multisemigroup with multiplicities for the tensor category of subbimodules of the identity bimodule, for an arbitrary non-uniform orientation of a finite cyclic quiver.
We introduce the notion of ''maximal rank type'' for representations of quivers, which requires certain collections of maps involved in the representation to be of maximal rank. We show that real root representations of quivers are of maximal rank type. By using the maximal rank type property and universal extension functors we construct all real root representations of a particular wild quiver with three vertices. From this construction it follows that real root representations of this quiver are tree modules. Moreover, formulae given by Ringel can be applied to compute the dimension of the e…
Let $A$ be a finite dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field $k$, and $M$ be a partial tilting $A$-module. We prove that the Bongartz $τ$-tilting complement of $M$ coincides with its Bongartz complement, and then we give a new proof of that every almost complete tilting $A$-module has at most two complements. Let $A=kQ$ be a path algebra. We prove that the support $τ$-tilting quiver $\overrightarrow{Q}({\rm s}τ$-${\rm tilt} A)$ of $A$ is connected. As an application, we investigate the conjecture of Happel and Unger in [9] which claims that each connected component of the tilting…
We show that for any positive integer $n$, there exists a quiver $Q$ with $O(n^2)$ vertices and $O(n^2)$ edges such that any quiver on $n$ vertices is a full subquiver of a quiver mutation equivalent to $Q$. We generalize this statement to skew-symmetrizable matrices and obtain other related results. In particular, we show that any quiver is a full subquiver of a quiver mutation equivalent to a quiver of a plabic graph.
We study quivers with relations given by non-commutative analogs of Jacobian ideals in the complete path algebra. This framework allows us to give a representation-theoretic interpretation of quiver mutations at arbitrary vertices. This gives a far-reaching generalization of Bernstein-Gelfand-Ponomarev reflection functors. The motivations for this work come from several sources: superpotentials in physics, Calabi-Yau algebras, cluster algebras.
We prove that the Crisp and Gow's quiver operation on a finite quiver Q produces a new quiver Q' with fewer vertices, such that the finite dimensional algebras kQ/J^2 and kQ'/J^2 are singularly equivalent. This operation is a general quiver operation which includes as specific examples some operations which arise naturally in symbolic dynamics (e.g., (elementary) strong shift equivalent, (in-out) splitting, source elimination, etc.).
We define and study virtual representation spaces having both positive and negative dimensions at the vertices of a quiver without oriented cycles. We consider the natural semi-invariants on these spaces which we call virtual semi-invariants and prove that they satisfy the three basic theorems: the First Fundamental Theorem, the Saturation Theorem and the Canonical Decomposition Theorem. In the special case of Dynkin quivers with n vertices this gives the fundamental interrelationship between supports of the semi-invariants and the Tilting Triangulation of the (n-1)-sphere.
Sherman-Zelevinsky and Cerulli constructed canonically positive bases in cluster algebras associated to affine quivers having at most three vertices. Both constructions involve cluster monomials and normalized Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind evaluated at a certain "imaginary" element in the cluster algebra. Using this combinatorial description, it is possible to define for any affine quiver $Q$ a set $\mathcal B(Q)$ which is conjectured to be the canonically positive basis of the acyclic cluster algebra $\mathcal A(Q)$. In this article, we provide a geometric realization of the element…
Quivers play an important role in the representation theory of algebras, with a key ingredient being the path algebra and the preprojective algebra. Quiver grassmannians are varieties of submodules of a fixed module of the path or preprojective algebra. In the current paper, we study these objects in detail. We show that the quiver grassmannians corresponding to submodules of certain injective modules are homeomorphic to the lagrangian quiver varieties of Nakajima which have been well studied in the context of geometric representation theory. We then refine this result by finding quiver grassm…
We consider graded twisted Calabi-Yau algebras of dimension 3 which are derivation-quotient algebras of the form $A = \kk Q/I$, where $Q$ is a quiver and $I$ is an ideal of relations coming from taking partial derivatives of a twisted superpotential on $Q$. We define the type $(M, P, d)$ of such an algebra $A$, where $M$ is the incidence matrix of the quiver, $P$ is the permutation matrix giving the action of the Nakayama automorphism of $A$ on the vertices of the quiver, and $d$ is the degree of the superpotential. We study the question of what possible types can occur under the additional as…
We establish a hierarchy of quantum dilogarithm identities associated to a sequence of triangular shaped quivers. The tetrahedron equation plays a key role in our construction.
We introduce the notion of the full quiver of a representation of an algebra, which is a cover of the (classical) quiver, but which captures properties of the representation itself. Gluing of vertices and of arrows enables one to study subtle combinatorial aspects of algebras which are lost in the classical quiver. Full quivers of representations apply especially well to \Zcd\ algebras, which have properties very like those of finite dimensional algebras over fields. By choosing the representation appropriately, one can restrict the gluing to two main types: {\it Frobenius} (along the diagonal…
We study the subregular $J$-ring $J_C$ of a Coxeter system $(W,S)$, a subring of Lusztig's $J$-ring. We prove that $J_C$ is isomorphic to a quotient of the path algebra of the double quiver of $(W,S)$ by a suitable ideal that we associate to a family of Chebyshev polynomials. As applications, we use quiver representations to study the category mod-$A_K$ of finite dimensional right modules of the algebra $A_K=K\otimes_\Z J_C$ over an algebraically closed field $K$ of characteristic zero. Our results include classifications of Coxeter systems for which mod-$A_K$ is semisimple, has finitely many …
In this paper we introduce a new class of $K$-algebras associated with quivers. Given any finite chain $\mathbf{K}_r: K=K_0\subseteq K_1\subseteq ... \subseteq K_r$ of fields and a chain $\mathbf{E}_r : H_0\subset H_1\subset ... \subset H_r=E^0$ of hereditary saturated subsets of the set of vertices $E^0$ of a quiver $E$, we build the mixed path algebra $P_{\mathbf{K}_r}(E,\mathbf{H}_r)$, the mixed Leavitt path algebra $L_{\mathbf{K}_r}(E,\mathbf{H}_r)$ and the mixed regular path algebra $Q_{\mathbf{K}_r}(E,\mathbf{H}_r)$ and we show that they share many properties with the unmixed species $P_…
We present a geometric realization for all mutation classes of quivers of rank $3$ with real weights. This realization is via linear reflection groups for acyclic mutation classes and via groups generated by $π$-rotations for the cyclic ones. The geometric behavior of the model turns out to be controlled by the Markov constant $p^2+q^2+r^2-pqr$, where $p,q,r$ are the elements of exchange matrix. We also classify skew-symmetric mutation-finite real $3\times 3$ matrices and explore the structure of acyclic representatives in finite and infinite mutation classes.
For an algebraically closed field $K$, we investigate a class of noncommutative $K$-algebras called connected quantized Weyl algebras. Such an algebra has a PBW basis for a set of generators $\{x_1,\dots,x_n\}$ such that each pair satisfies a relation of the form $x_ix_j=q_{ij}x_jx_i+r_{ij}$, where $q_{ij}\in K^*$ and $r_{ij}\in K$, with, in some sense, sufficiently many pairs for which $r_{ij}\neq 0$. We classify connected quantized Weyl algebras, showing that there are two types, linear and cyclic, each depending on a single parameter $q$. When $q$ is not a root of unity we determine the pri…
