Stability Results for Systems Described by Retarded Functional Differential Equations

In this work characterizations of notions of output stability for uncertain time-varying systems described by retarded functional differential equations are provided. Particularly, characterizations by means of Lyapunov and Razumikhin functions of uniform and non-uniform in time Robust Global Asymptotic Output Stability and Input-to-Output Stability are given. The results of this work have been developed for systems with outputs in abstract normed linear spaces in order to allow outputs with no delay, with discrete or distributed delay or functional outputs with memory.

The generic multiplicity-induced-dominancy property from retarded to neutral delay-differential equations: When delay-systems characteristics meet the zeros of Kummer functions

In this paper, which is a direct continuation and generalization of the recent works by the authors [https://doi.org/10.1051/cocv/2019073, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jde.2021.03.003], we show the validity of the generic multiplicity-induced-dominancy property for a general class of linear functional differential equations with a single delay, including the retarded as well as the neutral cases. The result is based on an appropriate integral representation of the corresponding characteristic quasipolynomial functions involving some appropriate degenerate hypergeometric functions.

Uniform Decay Estimates for Solutions of a Class of Retarded Integral Inequalities

Some uniform decay estimates are established for solutions of the following type of retarded integral inequalities: $$y(t)\leq E(t,τ)||y_τ||+\int_τ^t K_1(t,s)||y_s||ds+\int_t^\infty K_2(t,s)||y_s||ds+ρ, \hspace{0.5cm} t\geqτ\geq 0.$$ As a simple example of application, the retarded scalar functional differential equation $\dot x=-a(t)x+B(t,x_t)$ is considered, and the global asymptotic stability of the equation is proved under weaker conditions. Converse Lyapunov-Krasovskii Theorems for Systems Described by Neutral Functional Differential Equation in Hale's Form

In this paper we show that the existence of a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is necessary and sufficient condition for the uniform global asymptotic stability and the global exponential stability of time-invariant systems described by neutral functional differential equations in Hale's form. It is assumed that the difference operator is linear and strongly stable, and that the map in the right-hand side of the equation is Lipschitz on bounded sets. Solution to Zero-Sum Differential Game with Fractional Dynamics via Approximations

The paper deals with a zero-sum differential game in which the dynamical system is described by a fractional differential equation with the Caputo derivative of an order $α\in (0, 1).$ The goal of the first (second) player is to minimize (maximize) the value of a given quality index. Lyapunov characterization of uniform exponential stability for nonlinear infinite-dimensional systems

In this paper we deal with infinite-dimensional nonlinear forward complete dynamical systems which are subject to external disturbances. We first extend the well-known Datko lemma to the framework of the considered class of systems. On Lyapunov-Krasovskii Functionals for Switched Nonlinear Systems with Delay

We present a set of results concerning the existence of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals for classes of nonlinear switched systems with time-delay. In particular, we first present a result for positive systems that relaxes conditions recently described in \cite{SunWang} for the existence of L-K functionals. We also provide related conditions for positive coupled differential-difference positive systems and for systems of neutral type that are not necessarily positive.
