In this article, we present new symplectic 4-manifolds with same integral cohomology as $S^{2}\times S^{2}$. The generalization of this construction is given as well, an infinite family of symplectic 4-manifolds cohomology equivalent to $#_{(2g-1)}{(S^{2}\times S^{2})}$ for any $g\geq 2$. We also compute the Seiberg-Witten invariants of these manifolds.

We derive a wall crossing formula for the symplectic vortex invariants of toric manifolds. As an application, we give a proof of Batyrev's formula for the quantum cohomology of a monotone toric manifold with minimal Chern number at least two.

We compute symplectic cohomology for Milnor fibres of certain compound Du Val singularities that admit small resolution by using homological mirror symmetry. Our computations suggest a new conjecture that the existence of a small resolution has strong implications for the symplectic cohomology and conversely. We also use our computations to give a contact invariant of the link of the singularities and thereby distinguish many contact structures on connected sums of $S^2 \times S^3$.

We consider Lagrangian Floer cohomology for a pair of Lagrangian submanifolds in a symplectic manifold M. Suppose that M carries a symplectic involution, which preserves both submanifolds. Under various topological hypotheses, we prove a localization theorem for Floer cohomology, which implies a Smith-type inequality for the Floer cohomology groups in M and its fixed point set. Two applications to symplectic Khovanov cohomology are included.

We prove that if N satisfies a mild homotopy assumption then the image of π_2(L) in π_2(N) has finite index. We make no assumption on the Maslov class of L, and we make no orientability assumptions. Kotschick and Morita recently discovered factorisations of characteristic classes of transversally symplectic foliations that yield new characteristic classes in foliated cohomology. We describe an alternative construction of such factorisations and construct examples of topologically trivial foliated vector bundles for which these characteristic classes are non-trivial. This shows that the foliated cohomology classes of Kotschick and Morita carry information that is not merely topological.
We introduce filtered cohomologies of differential forms on symplectic manifolds. They generalize and include the cohomologies discussed in Paper I and II as a subset. The aim of this paper is to discuss some applications of the relation between Seiberg-Witten theory and two natural norms defined on the first cohomology group of a closed 3-manifold N - the Alexander and Thurston norms. We start by giving a "new" proof of McMullen's inequality between these norms, and then use these norms to study two problems related to symplectic 4-manifolds of the form S^1xN.
