Concrete Duality for Strict Infinity Categories

An elementary theory of strict $\infty $-categories with application to concrete duality is given. All known famous dualities (Gelfand-Naimark, Pontryagin, Stone, etc.) are so-called natural. A criterion of existence of such a duality for higher categories is formulated. New examples are presented.

Koszul, Ringel, and Serre duality for strict polynomial functors

This is a report on recent work of Chalupnik and Touze. We explain the Koszul duality for the category of strict polynomial functors and make explicit the underlying monoidal structure which seems to be of independent interest. Then we connect this to Ringel duality for Schur algebras and describe Serre duality for strict polynomial functors.

Contravariance through enrichment

We define strict and weak duality involutions on 2-categories, and prove a coherence theorem that every bicategory with a weak duality involution is biequivalent to a 2-category with a strict duality involution. For this purpose we introduce "2-categories with contravariance", a sort of enhanced 2-category with a basic notion of "contravariant morphism", which can be regarded either as generalized multicategories or as enriched categories. This enables a universal characterization of duality involutions using absolute weighted colimits, leading to a conceptual proof of the coherence theorem.

Duality categories

We define the notion of duality categories as generalization of duality groups. Two examples are treated. The first is the Serre duality in the categories of strict polynomial functors. The second concerns finite complexes. We show in particular that finite Tits buildings are duality categories.

In this paper we develop the theory of quasispaces (for a Grothendieck topology) and of concrete quasitopoi, over a suitable base category. We introduce the notion of f-regular category and of f-regular functor. Sketches for arithmetic universes

A theory of sketches for arithmetic universes (AUs) is developed. Homology of strict $ω$-categories

In this dissertation, we compare the "classical" homology of an $ω$-category (defined as the homology of its Street nerve) with its polygraphic homology. More precisely, we prove that both homologies generally do not coincide and call homologically coherent the particular strict $ω$-categories for which polygraphic homology and homology of the nerve do coincide.
