An elementary theory of strict $\infty $-categories with application to concrete duality is given. All known famous dualities (Gelfand-Naimark, Pontryagin, Stone, etc.) are so-called natural. A criterion of existence of such a duality for higher categories is formulated. New examples are presented.

In this short note we show that E-infinity quasi-categories can be replaced by strictly commutative objects in the larger category of diagrams of simplicial sets indexed by finite sets and injections. This complements earlier work on diagram spaces by Christian Schlichtkrull and the second author.

We study (not necessarily connected) Z-graded A-infinity-algebras and their A-infinity-modules. Using the cobar and the bar construction and Quillen's homotopical algebra, we describe the localisation of the category of A-infinity-algebras with respect to A-infintity-quasi-isomorphisms. We prove a rectification theorem for enriched infinity-categories: If V is a nice monoidal model category, we show that the homotopy theory of infinity-categories enriched in V is equivalent to the familiar homotopy theory of categories strictly enriched in V. We construct an iterative method for factorising small strict n-categories into a unique (up to isomorphism) collection of small 1- categories. Following this we develop the theory to include a large class of $\infty$-categories. We use this factorisation to define cohomology theory for higher categories. This article studies the categorical setting of Abramsky, Haghverdi, and Scott's untyped linear combinatory algebras, and relates this to more recent work of Abramsky and Heunen on Frobenius algebras in the infinitary setting. We discuss various concepts of $\infty$-homotopies, as well as the relations between them (focussing on the Leibniz type). In particular $\infty$-$n$-homotopies appear as the $n$-simplices of the nerve of a complete Lie ${\infty}$-algebra. In the nilpotent case, this nerve is known to be a Kan complex \cite{Get09}. In this dissertation, we compare the "classical" homology of an $ω$-category (defined as the homology of its Street nerve) with its polygraphic homology. More precisely, we prove that both homologies generally do not coincide and call homologically coherent the particular strict $ω$-categories for which polygraphic homology and homology of the nerve do coincide.
