On the coalgebra description of OCHA

OCHA is the homotopy algebra of open-closed strings. It can be defined as a sequence of multilinear operations on a pair of DG spaces satisfying certain relations which include the $L_\infty$ relations in one space and the $A_\infty$ relations in the other. In this paper we show that the OCHA structure is intrinsic to the tensor product of the symmetric and tensor coalgebras. We also show how an OCHA can be obtained from $A_\infty$-extesions and define the {\it universal enveloping} $A_\infty$-algebra of an OCHA as an $A_\infty$-extension of the universal enveloping of its $L_\infty$ part by its $A_\infty$ part.

Limits of Coalgebras, Bialgebras and Hopf Algebras

We give the explicit construction of the product of an arbitrary family of coalgebras, bialgebras and Hopf algebras: it turns out that the product of an arbitrary family of coalgebras (resp. bialgebras, Hopf algebras) is the sum of a family of coalgebras (resp. bialgebras, Hopf algebras). The equalizers of two morphisms of coalgebras (resp. bialgebras, Hopf algebras) are also described explicitly. As a consequence the categories of coalgebras, bialgebras and Hopf algebras are shown to be complete and a explicit description for limits in the above categories is given.

Duality for infinite-dimensional braided bialgebras and their (co)modules

The paper presents a detailed description of duality for braided algebras, coalgebras, bialgebras, Hopf algebras and their modules and comodules in the infinite setting. Assuming that the dual objects exist, it is shown how a given braiding induces compatible braidings for the dual objects, and how actions (resp. coactions) can be turned into coactions (resp. actions) of the dual coalgebra (resp. algebra), with an emphasis on braided bialgebras and their braided (co)module algebras.

On pseudo-bialgebras

We study pseudoalgebras from the point of view of pseudo-dual of classical Lie coalgebra structures. We define the notions of Lie H-coalgebra and Lie pseudo-bialgebra. We obtain the analog of the CYBE, the Manin triples and Drinfeld's double for Lie pseudo-bialgebras. We also get a natural description of the annihilation algebra associated to a pseudoalgebra as a convolution algebra, clarifying this constructions in the theory of pseudoalgebras.

On cross product Hopf algebras

Let $A$ and $B$ be algebras and coalgebras in a braided monoidal category $\Cc$, and suppose that we have a cross product algebra and a cross coproduct coalgebra structure on $A\ot B$. We present necessary and sufficient conditions for $A\ot B$ to be a bialgebra, and sufficient conditions for $A\ot B$ to be a Hopf algebra. We discuss when such a cross product Hopf algebra is a double cross (co)product, a biproduct, or, more generally, a smash (co)product Hopf algebra. In each of these cases, we provide an explicit description of the associated Hopf algebra projection.

On quiver-theoretic description for quasitriangularity of Hopf algebras

This paper is devoted to the study of the quasitriangularity of Hopf algebras via Hopf quiver approaches. We give a combinatorial description of the Hopf quivers whose path coalgebras give rise to coquasitriangular Hopf algebras. With a help of the quiver setting, we study general coquasitriangular pointed Hopf algebras and obtain a complete classification of the finite-dimensional ones over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0.

Unified products and split extensions of Hopf algebras

The unified product was defined in \cite{am3} related to the restricted extending structure problem for Hopf algebras: a Hopf algebra $E$ factorizes through a Hopf subalgebra $A$ and a subcoalgebra $H$ such that $1\in H$ if and only if $E$ is isomorphic to a unified product $A \ltimes H$. Using the concept of normality of a morphism of coalgebras in the sense of Andruskiewitsch and Devoto we prove an equivalent description for the unified product from the point of view of split morphisms of Hopf algebras. Higher Hochschild cohomology, Brane topology and centralizers of $E_n$-algebra maps

We use factorization homology and higher Hochschild (co)chains to study various problems in algebraic topology and homotopical algebra, notably brane topology, centralizers of $E_n$-algebras maps and iterated bar constructions. In particular, we obtain an $E_{n+1}$-algebra model on the shifted integral chains of the mapping space of the n-sphere into an orientable closed manifold $M$. Quadratic Algebras arising from Hopf operads generated by a single element

The operads of Poisson and Gerstenhaber algebras are generated by a single binary element if we consider them as Hopf operads (i.e. as operads in the category of cocommutative coalgebras). In this note we discuss in details the Hopf operads generated by a single element of arbitrary arity. We explain why the dual space to the space of $n$-ary operations in this operads are quadratic and Koszul algebras. We give the detailed description of generators, relations and a certain monomial basis in these algebras.
