Let $X$ be a compact real analytic manifold, and let $T^*X$ be its cotangent bundle. Let $Sh(X)$ be the triangulated dg category of bounded, constructible complexes of sheaves on $X$. In this paper, we develop a Fukaya $A_\infty$-category $Fuk(T^*X)$ whose objects are exact, not necessarily compact Lagrangian branes in the cotangent bundle. We write $Tw Fuk(T^*X)$ for the $A_\infty$-triangulated envelope of $Fuk(T^*X)$ consisting of twisted complexes of Lagrangian branes. Our main result is that $Sh(X)$ quasi-embeds into $Tw Fuk(T^*X)$ as an $A_\infty$-category. Taking cohomology gives an embedding of the corresponding derived categories.
Let $X$ be a real analytic manifold, and let $T^*X$ be its cotangent bundle. In a recent paper with E. Zaslow \cite{NZ}, we showed that the dg category $Sh_c(X)$ of constructible sheaves on $X$ quasi-embeds into the triangulated envelope $F(T^*X)$ of the Fukaya category of $T^*X$. We prove here that the quasi-embedding is in fact a quasi-equivalence. When $X$ is complex, one may interpret this as a topological analogue of the identification of Lagrangian branes in $T^*X$ and holonomic $D_X$-modules developed by Kapustin and Kapustin-Witten from a physical perspective. As a concrete application…
The Fukaya category of a Weinstein manifold is an intricate symplectic invariant of high interest in mirror symmetry and geometric representation theory. This paper informally sketches how, in analogy with Morse homology, the Fukaya category might result from gluing together Fukaya categories of Weinstein cells. This can be formalized by a recollement pattern for Lagrangian branes parallel to that for constructible sheaves. Assuming this structure, we exhibit the Fukaya category as the global sections of a sheaf on the conic topology of the Weinstein manifold. This can be viewed as a symplecti…
Inspired by the geometry of wrapped Fukaya categories, we introduce the notion of wrapped microlocal sheaves. We show that traditional microlocal sheaves are equivalent to functionals on wrapped microlocal sheaves, in analogy with the expected relation of infinitesimal to wrapped Fukaya categories. As an application, we calculate wrapped microlocal sheaves on higher-dimensional pairs of pants, confirming expectations from mirror symmetry.
We study the unwrapped Fukaya category of Lagrangian branes ending on a Legendrian knot. Our knots live at contact infinity in the cotangent bundle of a surface, the Fukaya category of which is equivalent to the category of constructible sheaves on the surface itself. Consequently, our category can be described as constructible sheaves with singular support controlled by the front projection of the knot. We use a theorem of Guillermou-Kashiwara-Schapira to show that the resulting category is invariant under Legendrian isotopies, and conjecture it is equivalent to the representation category of…
Let $Λ$ be a Legendrian in the jet space of some manifold $X$. To a generating family presentation of $Λ$, we associate a constructible sheaf on $X \times \mathbb{R}$ whose singular support at infinity is $Λ$, and such that the generating family homology is canonically isomorphic to the endomorphism algebra of this sheaf. That is, the theory of generating family homology embeds in sheaf theory, and more specifically in the category studied in [STZ]. When $X = \mathbb{R}$, i.e., for the theory of Legendrian knots and links in the standard contact $\mathbb{R}^3$, we use ideas from the proof of t…
We introduce irregular constructible sheaves, which are $\mathbb{C}$-constructible with coefficients in a finite version of Novikov ring $Λ$ and special gradings. We show that the bounded derived category of cohomologically irregular constructible complexes is equivalent to the bounded derived category of holonomic $\mathcal{D}$-modules by a modification of D'Agnolo--Kashiwara's irregular Riemann--Hilbert correspondence. The bounded derived category of cohomologically irregular constructible complexes is equipped with the irregular perverse t-structure, which is a straightforward generalizatio…
Let X be a compact complex manifold, $D_c^b(X)$ be the bounded derived category of constructible sheaves on $X$, and $Fuk(T^*X)$ be the Fukaya category of $T^*X$. A Lagrangian brane in $Fuk(T^*X)$ is holomorphic if the underlying Lagrangian submanifold is complex analytic in $T^*X_{\mathbb{C}}$, the holomorphic cotangent bundle of $X$. We prove that under the quasi-equivalence between $D^b_c(X)$ and $DFuk(T^*X)$ established in [NaZa09] and [Nad09], holomorphic Lagrangian branes with appropriate grading correspond to perverse sheaves.
In this thesis, we study the wrapped Fukaya category of the rational homology ball $B_{p,q}$ and the traditional/wrapped microlocal sheaves on its skeleton $L_{p,q}$, called pinwheel. We explicitly calculate both for $q=1$, and show they match in wrapped case.
We introduce Morse branes in the Fukaya category of a holomorphic symplectic manifold, with the goal of constructing tilting objects in the category. We give a construction of a class of Morse branes in the cotangent bundles, and apply it to give the holomorphic branes that represent the big tilting sheaves on flag varieties.
Homological mirror symmetry (HMS) asserts that the Fukaya category of a symplectic manifold is derived equivalent to the category of coherent sheaves on the mirror complex manifold. Without suitable enlargement (split closure) of the Fukaya category, certain objects of it are missing to prevent HMS from being true. One possible solution is to include coisotropic branes into the Fukaya category. This paper gives a construction for linear symplectic tori of a version of Fukaya category including coisotropic branes by using a doubling procedure, and discussing the relation between the Fukaya cate…
Let $(M,ω_M)$ be a monotone or negatively monotone symplectic manifold, or a Weinstein manifold. One can construct an "action" of $H^1(M,\mathbb{G}_m)$ on the Fukaya category (wrapped Fukaya category in the exact case) that reflects the action of $Symp^0(M,ω_M)$ on the set of Lagrangian branes. A priori this action is only analytic. The purpose of this work is to show the algebraicity of this action under some assumptions. We use this to prove a tameness result for the sheaf of Lagrangian Floer homology groups obtained by moving one of the Lagrangians via global symplectic isotopies. We also s…
It follows from the work of Burban and Drozd arXiv:0905.1231 that for nodal curves $C$, the derived category of modules over the Auslander order $\mathcal{A}_C$ provides a categorical (smooth and proper) resolution of the category of perfect complexes $\mathrm{Perf}(C)$. On the A-side, it follows from the work of Haiden-Katzarkov-Kontsevich arXiv:1409.8611 that for punctured surfaces $X$ with stops $Λ$ at their boundary, the partially wrapped Fukaya category $\mathcal{W}(X,Λ)$ provides a categorical (smooth and proper) resolution of the compact Fukaya category $\mathcal{F}(X)$. Inspired by thi…
This paper explores a refinement of homological mirror symmetry which relates exact symplectic topology to arithmetic algebraic geometry. We establish a derived equivalence of the Fukaya category of the 2-torus, relative to a basepoint, with the category of perfect complexes of coherent sheaves on the Tate curve over the "formal disc" Spec Z[[q]]. It specializes to a derived equivalence, over Z, of the Fukaya category of the punctured torus with perfect complexes on the curve y^2+xy=x^3 over Spec Z, the central fibre of the Tate curve; and, over the "punctured disc" Spec Z((q)), to an integral…
Suppose one has found a non-empty sub-category $\mathcal{A}$ of the Fukaya category of a compact Calabi-Yau manifold $X$ which is homologically smooth in the sense of non-commutative geometry, a condition intrinsic to $\mathcal{A}$. Then, we show $\mathcal{A}$ split-generates the Fukaya category and moreoever, that our hypothesis implies (and is therefore equivalent to the assertion that) $\mathcal{A}$ satisfies Abouzaid's geometric generation criterion [Abo]. An immediate consequence of earlier work [G1, GPS1, GPS2] is that the open-closed and closed-open maps, relating quantum cohomology to …
We study versions of homological mirror symmetry for hypersurface cusp singularities and the three hypersurface simple elliptic singularities. We show that the Milnor fibres of each of these carries a distinguished Lefschetz fibration; its derived directed Fukaya category is equivalent to the derived category of coherent sheaves on a smooth rational surface $Y_{p,q,r}$. By using localization techniques on both sides, we get an isomorphism between the derived wrapped Fukaya category of the Milnor fibre and the derived category of coherent sheaves on a quasi-projective surface given by deleting …
The derived category of coherent sheaves $\mathcal{T}_B$ associated to a birational cobordism which is either a weighted projective space, a stacky Atiyah flip, or a stacky blow-up of a point has a conjectural mirror Fukaya-Seidel category $\mathcal{T}_A$. The potential $W$ defining $\mathcal{T}_{A}$ has base $\mathbb{C}^*$ and exhibits a great deal of symmetry. This paper investigates the structure of the Fukaya-Seidel category for the mirror potentials. A proof of homological mirror symmetry $\mathcal{T}_A \cong \mathcal{T}_B$ for these birational cobordisms is then given.
Let $X_Σ$ be a complete toric variety. The coherent-constructible correspondence $κ$ of \cite{FLTZ} equates $\Perf_T(X_Σ)$ with a subcategory $Sh_{cc}(M_\bR;\LS)$ of constructible sheaves on a vector space $M_\bR.$ The microlocalization equivalence $μ$ of \cite{NZ,N} relates these sheaves to a subcategory $Fuk(T^*M_\bR;\LS)$ of the Fukaya category of the cotangent $T^*M_\bR$. When $X_\Si$ is nonsingular, taking the derived category yields an equivariant version of homological mirror symmetry, $DCoh_T(X_\Si)\cong DFuk(T^*M_\bR;\LS)$, which is an equivalence of triangulated tensor categories. Th…
We produce for each tropical hypersurface $V(ϕ)\subset Q=\mathbb{R}^n$ a Lagrangian $L(ϕ)\subset (\mathbb{C}^*)^n$ whose moment map projection is a tropical amoeba of $V(ϕ)$. When these Lagrangians are admissible in the Fukaya-Seidel category, we show that they are unobstructed objects of the Fukaya category, and mirror to sheaves supported on complex hypersurfaces in a toric mirror.
We establish a $\mathbb{Z}[[t_1,\ldots, t_n]]$-linear derived equivalence between the relative Fukaya category of the 2-torus with $n$ distinct marked points and the derived category of perfect complexes on the $n$-Tate curve. Specialising to $t_1= \ldots =t_n=0$ gives a $\mathbb{Z}$-linear derived equivalence between the Fukaya category of the $n$-punctured torus and the derived category of perfect complexes on the standard (Néron) $n$-gon. We prove that this equivalence extends to a $\mathbb{Z}$-linear derived equivalence between the wrapped Fukaya category of the $n$-punctured torus and the…
