We study Laurent expansions of cluster variables in a cluster algebra of rank 2 associated to a generalized Kronecker quiver. In the case of the ordinary Kronecker quiver, we obtain explicit expressions for Laurent expansions of the elements of the canonical basis for the corresponding cluster algebra.
We introduce the notions of quasi-Laurent and Laurent families of simple modules over quiver Hecke algebras of arbitrary symmetrizable types. We prove that such a family plays a similar role of a cluster in the quantum cluster algebra theory and exhibits a quantum Laurent positivity phenomenon for the basis of the quantum unipotent coordinate ring $\mathcal{A}_q(\mathfrak{n}(w))$, coming from the categorification. Then we show that the families of simple modules categorifying GLS-clusters are Laurent families by using the PBW-decomposition vector of a simple module $X$ and categorical interpre…
We consider quivers/skew-symmetric matrices under the action of mutation (in the cluster algebra sense). We classify those which are isomorphic to their own mutation via a cycle permuting all the vertices, and give families of quivers which have higher periodicity. The periodicity means that sequences given by recurrence relations arise in a natural way from the associated cluster algebras. We present a number of interesting new families of non-linear recurrences, necessarily with the Laurent property, of both the real line and the plane, containing integrable maps as special cases. In particu…
We study graded dimension formulas for finite quiver Hecke algebras $R^{Λ_0}(β)$ of type $A^{(2)}_{2\ell}$ and $D^{(2)}_{\ell+1}$ using combinatorics of Young walls. We introduce the notion of standard tableaux for proper Young walls and show that the standard tableaux form a graded poset with lattice structure. We next investigate Laurent polynomials associated with proper Young walls and their standard tableaux arising from the Fock space representations consisting of proper Young walls. Then we prove the graded dimension formulas described in terms of the Laurent polynomials. When evaluatin…
We study consequences of a monoidal categorification of the unipotent quantum coordinate ring $A_q(\mathfrak{n}(w))$ together with the Laurent phenomenon of cluster algebras. We show that if a simple module $S$ in the category $\mathcal C_w$ strongly commutes with all the cluster variables in a cluster $[ \mathscr C]$, then $[S]$ is a cluster monomial in $[ \mathscr C ]$. If $S$ strongly commutes with cluster variables except exactly one cluster variable $[M_k]$, then $[S]$ is either a cluster monomial in $[\mathscr C ]$ or a cluster monomial in $μ_k([ \mathscr C ])$. We give a new proof of th…
For Dynkin quivers, we find the Laurent polynomials $\widetilde{X}_{a, c}^{b}(v)$ and use $\widetilde{X}_{a, c}^{b}(v)$ to construct the Hall algebra $\hc_v(\cc(\cp))$ over $\mz[v, v^{-1}]$, where $\widetilde{X}_{a, c}^{b}(|\mf_q|)$'s are structure constants used by Bridgeland. The Laurent polynomials $\widetilde{X}_{a, c}^{b}(v)$ are explicitly given in $A_1$ case. As an application, we obtain the full quantum groups $U_t(\sg)$ associated to the Dynkin quivers for arbitrary $t\not=0,\pm1$.
We realize a family of generalized cluster algebras as Caldero-Chapoton algebras of quivers with relations. Each member of this family arises from an unpunctured polygon with one orbifold point of order 3, and is realized as a Caldero-Chapoton algebra of a quiver with relations naturally associated to any triangulation of the alluded polygon. The realization is done by defining for every arc $j$ on the polygon with orbifold point a representation $M(j)$ of the referred quiver with relations, and by proving that for every triangulation $τ$ and every arc $j\inτ$, the product of the Caldero-Chapo…
We study polynomial generalizations of the Kontsevich automorphisms acting on the skew-field of formal rational expressions in two non-commuting variables. Our main result is the Laurentness and pseudo-positivity of iterations of these automorphisms. The resulting expressions are described combinatorially using a generalization of the combinatorics of compatible pairs in a maximal Dyck path developed by Lee, Li, and Zelevinsky. By specializing to quasi-commuting variables we obtain pseudo-positive expressions for rank 2 quantum generalized cluster variables. In the binomial case when all inter…
The aim of this paper is to give analogs of the cluster expansion formula of Musiker and Schiffler for cluster algebras of type A with coefficients arising from boundary arcs of the corresponding triangulated polygon. Indeed, we give three cluster expansion formulas by perfect matchings of angles in triangulated polygon, by discrete subsets of arrows of the corresponding ice quiver and by minimal cuts of the corresponding quiver with potential.
We study quantum cluster algebras from unpunctured surfaces with arbitrary coefficients and quantization. We first give a new proof of the Laurent expansion formulas for commutative cluster algebras from unpunctured surfaces, we then give the quantum Laurent expansion formulas for the quantum cluster algebras. Particularly, this gives a combinatorial proof of the positivity for such class of quantum cluster algebras.
A cluster is a finite set of generators of a cluster algebra. The Laurent Phenomenon of Fomin and Zelevinsky says that any element of a cluster algebra can be written as a Laurent polynomial in terms of any cluster. The upper cluster algebra of a cluster algebra is the ring of rational functions that can be written as a Laurent polynomial in every cluster of the cluster algebra. By the Laurent phenomenon a cluster algebra is always contained in its upper cluster algebra, but they are not always equal. In 2014 it was conjectured that the equality of the cluster algebra and upper cluster algebra…
We construct "quantum theta bases," extending the set of quantum cluster monomials, for various versions of skew-symmetric quantum cluster algebras. These bases consist precisely of the indecomposable universally positive elements of the algebras they generate, and the structure constants for their multiplication are Laurent polynomials in the quantum parameter with non-negative integer coefficients, proving the quantum strong cluster positivity conjecture for these algebras. The classical limits recover the theta bases considered by Gross-Hacking-Keel-Kontsevich. Our approach combines the sca…
In this paper, we provide a Hodge-theoretic interpretation of Laurent phenomenon for general skew-symmetric quantum cluster algebras, using Donaldson-Thomas theory for a quiver with potential. It turns out that the positivity conjecture reduces to the certain statement on purity of monodromic mixed Hodge structures on the cohomology with the coefficients in the sheaf of vanishing cycles on the moduli of stable framed representations. As an application, we show that the positivity conjecture (and actually a stronger result on Lefschetz property) holds if either initial or mutated quantum seed i…
Motivated by a recent conjecture by Hernandez and Leclerc [arXiv:0903.1452], we embed a Fomin-Zelevinsky cluster algebra [arXiv:math/0104151] into the Grothendieck ring R of the category of representations of quantum loop algebras U_q(Lg) of a symmetric Kac-Moody Lie algebra g, studied earlier by the author via perverse sheaves on graded quiver varieties [arXiv:math/9912158]. Graded quiver varieties controlling the image can be identified with varieties which Lusztig used to define the canonical base. The cluster monomials form a subset of the base given by the classes of simple modules in R, …
We give the quantum Laurent expansion formula for the quantum cluster algebras from unpunctured orbifolds with arbitrary coefficients and quantization. As an application, positivity for such class of quantum cluster algebras is given. For technical reasons, it will always be assumed that the weights of the orbifold points are 2.
