We introduce and study the notion of $\star$-stability with respect to a semistar operation $\star$ defined on a domain $R$; in particular we consider the case where $\star$ is the $w$-operation. This notion allows us to generalize and improve several properties of stable domains and totally divisorial domains.

On finitely stable domains

We study Archimedean and locally Archimedean stable domains. We prove that a domain is stable and one-dimensional if and only if it is finitely stable and Mori. But we give examples of Archimedean stable local domains that are not one-dimensional. We also prove that a locally Archimedean stable domain satisfies accp and that Archimedean stable semilocal domains are locally Archimedean. But generally, neither Archimedean stable domains, nor Archimedean semilocal domains are necessarily locally Archimedean.

Towards a classification of stable semistar operations on a Prüfer domain

We study stable semistar operations defined over a Prüfer domain, showing that, if every ideal of a Prüfer domain $R$ has only finitely many minimal primes, every such closure can be described through semistar operations defined on valuation overrings of $R$.

On the arithmetic of stable domains

A commutative ring $R$ is stable if every non-zero ideal $I$ of $R$ is projective over its ring of endomorphisms. Motivated by a paper of Bass in the 1960s, stable rings have received wide attention in the literature ever since then. Much is known on the algebraic structure of stable rings and on the relationship of stability with other algebraic properties such as divisoriality and the $2$-generator property. In the present paper we study the arithmetic of stable integral domains, with a focus on arithmetic properties of semigroups of ideals of stable orders in Dedekind domains.

Flat Ideals and Stability in Integral Domains

We introduce the concept of \textit{quasi-stable} ideal in an integral domain $D$ (a nonzero fractional ideal $I$ of $D$ is quasi-stable if it is flat in its endomorphism ring $(I \colon I)$) and study properties of domains in which each nonzero fractional ideal is quasi-stable. We investigate some questions about flatness that were raised by S. Glaz and W.V. Vasconcelos in their 1977 paper \cite{GV}.

On Power Stable Ideals

We define the notion of a power stable ideal in a polynomial ring $ R[X]$ over an integral domain $ R $. It is proved that a maximal ideal $χ$ $ M $ in $ R[X]$ is power stable if and only if $ P^t $ is $ P$- primary for all $ t\geq 1 $ for the prime ideal $ P = M \cap R $. Using this we prove that for a Hilbert domain $R$ any radical ideal in $R[X]$ which is a finite intersection G-ideals is power stable. Prüfer $\star$--multiplication domains and $\star$--coherence

The purpose of this paper is to deepen the study of the Prüfer $\star$--multiplication domains, where $\star$ is a semistar operation. For this reason, in Section 2, we introduce the $\star$--domains, as a natural extension of the $v$--domains, where $v$ is the classical Artin's divisorial operation. We investigate their close relation with the Prüfer $\star$--multiplication domains. Finitely Star Regular Domains

Let $R$ be an integral domain, $Star(R)$ the set of all star operations on $R$ and $StarFC(R)$ the set of all star operations of finite type on $R$. Then $R$ is said to be star regular if $|Star(T)|\leq |Star(R)|$ for every overring $T$ of $R$. In this paper we introduce the notion of finitely star regular domain as an integral domain $R$ such that $|StarFC(T)|\leq |StarFC(R)|$ for each overring $T$ of $R$. Conditions for stable range of an elementary divisor rings

Using the concept of ring of Gelfand range 1 we proved that a commutative Bezout domain is an elementary divisor ring iff it is a ring of Gelfand range 1. Obtained results give a solution of problem of elementary divisor rings for different classes of commutative Bezout domains, in particular, $PM^{*}$, local Gelfand domains and so on.

Semistar Dedekind Domains

Let $D$ be an integral domain and $\star$ a semistar operation on $D$. As a generalization of the notion of Noetherian domains to the semistar setting, we say that $D$ is a $\star$--Noetherian domain if it has the ascending chain condition on the set of its quasi--$\star$--ideals.
