Vassiliev's spectral sequence for long knots is discussed. Briefly speaking we study what happens if the strata of non-immersions are ignored. Various algebraic structures on the spectral sequence are introduced. General theorems about these structures imply, for example, that the bialgebra of chord diagrams is polynomial for any field of coefficients.

We study homology groups of posets with functor coefficients and apply our results to give a novel approach to study Khovanov homology of knots and related homology theories.
We produce explicit geometric representatives of nontrivial homology classes in the space of long knots in R^d, when d is even. We generalize results of Cattaneo, Cotta-Ramusino and Longoni to define cycles which live off of the vanishing line of a homology spectral sequence due to Sinha. We use configuration space integrals to show our classes pair nontrivially with cohomology classes due to Longoni.
We show that if K is a non-trivial knot inside a homology sphere X, the rank of the knot Floer homology group associated with K is strictly bigger than the rank of the Heegaard Floer homology group associated with X.

In a recent paper, the first author and his collaborator developed a method to compute an upper bound of the dimension of instanton Floer homology via Heegaard Diagrams of 3-manifolds. In this paper we introduce various associative products on the homology of the space of knots and singular knots in $S^n$. We prove that these products are related through a desingularization map. We also compute some of these products and prove the nontriviality of the desingularization morphism.
This paper is a survey of several papers in quandle homology theory and cocycle knot invariants that have been published recently. Here we describe cocycle knot invariants that are defined in a state-sum form, quandle homology, and methods of constructing non-trivial cohomology classes.
Sutured manifolds defined by Gabai are useful in the geometrical study of knots and 3-dimensional manifolds. In this paper we study how randomly generated knots occupy a volume of space using topological methods. To this end, we consider the evolution of the first homology of an immersed metric neighbourhood of a knot's embedding for growing radii. Specifically, we extract features from the persistent homology of the Vietoris-Rips complexes built from point clouds associated to knots. We construct an algebra of non-trivial homological operations on Khovanov homology with coefficients in $\mathbb Z_2$ generated by two Bockstein operations. We use the unified Khovanov homology theory developed by the first author to lift this algebra to integral Khovanov homology. We conjecture that these two algebras are infinite and present evidence in support of our conjectures. Lower bounds of betti numbers for homology groups of racks and quandles will be given using the quotient homomorphism to the orbit quandles. We introduce BV-algebra structures on the homology of the space of framed long knots in $\mathbb{R}^n$ in two ways. The first one is given in a similar fashion to Chas-Sullivan's string topology. The second one is defined on the Hochschild homology associated with a cyclic, multiplicative operad of graded modules. The latter can be applied to Bousfield-Salvatore spectral sequence converging to the homology of the space of framed long knots. Conjecturally these two structures coincide with each other.
Quantification and classification of protein structures, such as knotted proteins, often requires noise-free and complete data. Here we develop a mathematical pipeline that systematically analyzes protein structures. We showcase this geometric framework on proteins forming open-ended trefoil knots, and we demonstrate that the mathematical tool, persistent homology, faithfully represents their structural homology.
