We are concerned here with Lehmer's problem in dimension 2 ; we give a lower bound for the height of a non-torsion point of $G\_m^2$ on a non-torsion curve defined over $Q$, depending on the degree of the curve only. We have first been inspired by \cite{Am-Da3}; we develop a new approach, inherent in the dimension two (or more precisely the codimension two), and then obtain a better result where the error's term is improved significantly, moreover we give an explicit expression for the constant.

Minoration de la hauteur de Neron-Tate sur les surfaces abeliennes

This paper contains results concerning a conjecture made by Lang and Silverman predicting a lower bound for the canonical height on abelian varieties of dimension 2 over number fields. The method used here is a local height decomposition. We derive as corollaries uniform bounds on the number of torsion points on families of abelian surfaces and on the number of rational points on families of genus 2 curves.

An algebraic field is said to satisfy Property (B) if there exists a positive constant bounding by below the height of every point of infinite order. Lower Bound for the Canonical Height for Drinfeld Modules with Complex Multiplication. Let K be a fi nite extension of Fq(T), let L=K be a Galois extension with Galois group G and let E be the sub eld of L fixed by the center of G. Assume that there exists a finite place v of K such that the local degrees of E=K above v are bounded. Let $ϕ$ be a Drinfeld module with complex multiplication. We give an e fective lower bound for the canonical height of $ϕ$ on L outside the torsion points of $ϕ$ . In the number field case, this problem was solved by F. Amoroso, S. David and U. Zannier.

The aim of this paper is to apply the work of Morris on Eisenstein series over global function fields to the study of the asymptotic behavior of the points of bounded height on a generalized flag variety defined as the quotient of a semi-simple algebraic group by a reduced parabolic subgroup over such a field. The formula obtained for the height zeta function has an interpretation similar to the one known over a number field.

We obtain a lower bound for the normalised height of a non-torsion subvariety $V$ of a C.M. abelian variety. This lower bound is optimal in terms of the geometric degree of $V$, up to a power of a ``log''. We thus extend the results of F. Amoroso and S. David on the same problem on a multiplicative group $\mathbb{G}_m^n$. We prove furthermore that the optimal lower bound (conjectured by S. David and P. Philippon) is a corollary of the conjecture of S. David and M. Hindry on the abelian Lehmer's problem. We deduce these results from a density theorem on the non-torsion points of $V$.

We prove a special case of the following conjecture of Zilber-Pink generalising the Manin-Mumford conjecture : let $X$ be a curve inside an Abelian variety $A$ over $\bar{\Q}$, provided $X$ is not contained in a torsion subvariety, the intersection of $X$ with the union of all subgroup schemes of codimension at least 2 is finite ; we settle the case where $A$ is a power of a simple Abelian variety of C.M. type.
