The spectral Dirichlet-Neumann map for Laplace's equation in a convex polygon

We provide a new approach to studying the Dirichlet-Neumann map for Laplace's equation on a convex polygon using Fokas' unified method for boundary value problems. The Dirichlet and Neumann and Dirichlet-to-Neumann problems in quadrature, double quadrature, and non-quadrature domains

We demonstrate that solving the classical problems mentioned in the title on quadrature domains when the given boundary data is rational is as simple as the method of partial fractions. A by-product of our considerations will be a simple proof that the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map on a double quadrature domain sends rational functions on the boundary to rational functions on the boundary. The results extend to more general domains if rational functions are replaced by the class of functions on the boundary that extend meromorphically to the double.

Inverse Dirichlet to Neumann problem for nodal curves

This paper proposes direct and inverse results for the Dirichlet and Dirichlet to Neumann problems for complex curves with nodal type singularities. As an application, we give a method to reconstruct the conformal structure of a compact surface of the standard three dimensional euclidean space with constant scalar conductivity from electrical current measurements in a neighborhood of one of its points.

Schwarz-Pick and Landau type theorems for solutions to the Dirichlet-Neumann problem in the unit disk

The aim of this paper is to establish some properties of solutions to the Dirichlet-Neumann problem: $(\partial_z\partial_{\overline{z}})^2 w=g$ in the unit disc $\ID$, $w=γ_0$ and $\partial_ν\partial_z\partial_{\overline{z}}w=γ$ on $\mathbb{T}$ (the unit circle), $\frac{1}{2πi}\int_{\mathbb{T}}w_{ζ\overlineζ}(ζ)\frac{dζ}ζ=c$, where $\partial_ν$ denotes differentiation in the outward normal direction. More precisely, we obtain Schwarz-Pick type inequalities and Landau type theorem for solutions to the Dirichlet-Neumann problem.

Dirichlet/Neumann problems and Hardy classes for the planar conductivity equation

We study Hardy spaces $H^p_ν$ of the conjugate Beltrami equation $\bar{\partial} f=ν\bar{\partial f}$ over Dini-smooth finitely connected domains, for real contractive $ν\in W^{1,r}$ with $r>2$, in the range $r/(r-1)<p<\infty$. We develop a theory of conjugate functions and apply it to solve Dirichlet and Neumann problems for the conductivity equation $\nabla.(σ\nabla u)=0$ where $σ=(1-ν)/(1+ν)$. In particular situations, we also consider some density properties of traces of solutions together with boundary approximation issues.
