We prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of linear n-inner product preserving mappings in $n$-inner product Banach spaces. We apply the Cauchy-Rassias inequality that plays an influencial role in the subject of functional equations. The inequality was introduced for the first time by Th.M.Rassias in his paper entitled: On the stability of the linear mapping in Banach spaces, Proc. Amer. Math.Soc. 72(1978), 297-300.
In this paper, using the fixed point and direct methods, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of a Cauchy-Jensen additive functional equation in various normed spaces. The concept of Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability originated from Th. M. Rassias stability theorem that appeared in his paper: On the stability of the linear mapping in Banach spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 72 (1978), 297-300.
Some new reverses of the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality in inner product spaces are presented in this paper. The results obtained here complement the recent work of the references.
We introduce a product in all complex normed vector spaces, which generalizes the inner product of complex inner product spaces. Naturally the question occurs whether the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality is fulfilled. We provide a positive answer. This also yields a new proof of the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality in complex inner product spaces, which does not rely on the linearity of the inner product. The proof depends only on the norm in the vector space. Further, we present some properties of the generalized product.
Let $\mathcal{L}(\mathscr{H})$ denote the $C^*$-algebra of adjointable operators on a Hilbert $C^*$-module $\mathscr{H}$. We introduce the generalized Cauchy-Schwarz inequality for operators in $\mathcal{L}(\mathscr{H})$ and investigate various properties of operators which satisfy the generalized Cauchy--Schwarz inequality. In particular, we prove that if an operator $A\in\mathcal{L}(\mathscr{H})$ satisfies the generalized Cauchy-Schwarz inequality such that $A$ has the polar decomposition, then $A$ is paranormal. In addition, we show that if for $A$ the equality holds in the generalized Cauc…
The main goal of this work is to present new matrix inequalities of the Cauchy-Schwarz type. In particular, we investigate the so-called Lieb functions, whose definition came as an umbrella of Cauchy-Schwarz-like inequalities, then we consider the mixed Cauchy-Schwarz inequality. This latter inequality has been influential in obtaining several other matrix inequalities, including numerical radius and norm results. Among many other results, we show that \[\left\| T \right\|\le \frac{1}{4}\left( \left\| \left| T \right|+\left| {{T}^{*}} \right|+2\mathfrak RT \right\|+\left\| \left| T \right|+\le…
We prove an inequality for unitarily invariant norms that interpolates between the Arithmetic-Geometric Mean inequality and the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality.
Let $A, B$ and $X$ be $n\times n$ matrices such that $A, B$ are positive semidefinite. We present some refinements of the matrix Cauchy-Schwarz inequality by using some integration techniques and various refinements of the Hermite--Hadamard inequality. In particular, we establish the inequality \begin{align*} |||\,|A^{1\over2}XB^{1\over2}|^r|||^2&\leq|||\,|A^{t}XB^{1-s}|^r||| \,\,\,|||\,|A^{1-t}XB^{s}|^r|||\\& \leq\max \{|||\,|AX|^r||| \,\,\,|||\,|XB|^r|||,|||\,|AXB|^r||| \,\,\,|||\,|X|^r|||\}, \end{align*} where $s,t\in[0,1]$ and $r\geq0$.
In this paper, some reverses of the Cauchy-Bunyakovsky-Schwarz inequality in 2-inner product spaces are given. Using this framework, some applications for determinantal integral inequalities are also provided.
In this work, a refinement of the Cauchy--Schwarz inequality in inner product space is proved. A more general refinement of the Kato's inequality or the so called mixed Schwarz inequality is established. Refinements of some famous numerical radius inequalities are also pointed out. As shown in this work, these refinements generalize and refine some recent and old results obtained in literature. Among others, it is proved that if $T\in\mathscr{B}\left(\mathscr{H}\right)$, then \begin{align*} ω^{2}\left(T\right) &\le \frac{1}{12} \left\| \left| T \right|+\left| {T^* } \right|\right\|^2 + \frac{1…
Recently proved weighted Cauchy Scwarz inequality for Hilbert $C^*$-modules leads to many Hölder type inequalities for unitarily invariant norms on Hilbert space operators.
We apply the inequality $\left|\left<x,y\right>\right|\le\|x\|\,\left<y,y\right>^{1/2}$ to give an easy and elementary proof of many operator inequalities for elementary operators and inner type product integral transformers obtained during last two decades, which also generalizes all of them.
We study the Cauchy--Schwarz and some related inequalities in a semi-inner product module over a $C^*$-algebra $\A$. The key idea is to consider a semi-inner product $\A$-module as a semi-inner product $\A$-module with respect to another semi-inner product. In this way, we improve some inequalities such as the Ostrowski inequality and an inequality related to the Gram matrix. The induced semi-inner products are also related to the the notion of covariance and variance. Furthermore, we obtain a sequence of nested inequalities that emerges from the Cauchy--Schwarz inequality. As a consequence, w…
Refinements of some recent reverse inequalities for the celebrated Cauchy-Bunyakovsky-Schwarz inequality in 2-inner product spaces are given. Using this framework, applications for determinantal integral inequalities are also provided.
In this article, we present several inequalities treating operator means and the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality. In particular, we present some new comparisons between operator Heron and Heinz means, several generalizations of the difference version of the Heinz means and further refinements of the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality. The techniques used to accomplish these results include convexity and Löwner matrices.
We present a Diaz--Metcalf type operator inequality as a reverse Cauchy-Schwarz inequality and then apply it to get the operator versions of Pólya-Szegö's, Greub-Rheinboldt's, Kantorovich's, Shisha-Mond's, Schweitzer's, Cassels' and Klamkin-McLenaghan's inequalities via a unified approach. We also give some operator Grüss type inequalities and an operator Ozeki-Izumino-Mori-Seo type inequality. Several applications are concluded as well.
