We study divisors in a complex manifold in view of the property that the algebra of logarithmic differential operators along the divisor is generated by logarithmic vector fields. We give a sufficient criterion for the property, a simple proof of F.J. Calderon-Moreno's theorem that free divisors have the property, a proof that divisors in dimension 3 with only isolated quasi-homogeneous singularities have the property, an example of a non-free divisor with non-isolated singularity having the property, an example of a divisor not having the property, and an algorithm to compute the V-filtration along a divisor up to a given order.

Criterion for logarithmic connections with prescribed residues

A theorem of Weil and Atiyah says that a holomorphic vector bundle $E$ on a compact Riemann surface $X$ admits a holomorphic connection if and only if the degree of every direct summand of $E$ is zero. Fix a finite subset $S$ of $X$, and fix an endomorphism $A(x) \in \text{End}(E_x)$ for every $x \in S$. It is natural to ask when there is a logarithmic connection on $E$ singular over $S$ with residue $A(x)$ at every $x \in S$. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for it under the assumption that the residues $A(x)$ are rigid.

On Fitting ideals of logarithmic vector fields and Saito's criterion

The germ of an analytic set $(X,p)$ in $\mathbb{C}^n$ has an associated $\mathscr{O}_{\mathbb{C}^n,p}$-module $\mathrm{Der}(-\log X)$ of `logarithmic vector fields', the ambient germs of holomorphic vector fields tangent to the smooth locus of $X$. Center conditions: Rigidity of logarithmic differential equations

In this paper we prove that any degree $d$ deformation of a generic logarithmic polynomial differential equation with a persistent center must be logarithmic again. This is a generalization of Ilyashenko's result on Hamiltonian differential equations. Logarithmic vanishing theorems on compact Kähler manifolds I

In this paper, we first establish an $L^2$-type Dolbeault isomorphism for logarithmic differential forms by Hörmander's $L^2$-estimates. By using this isomorphism and the construction of smooth Hermitian metrics, we obtain a number of new vanishing theorems for sheaves of logarithmic differential forms on compact Kähler manifolds with simple normal crossing divisors, which generalize several classical vanishing theorems, including Norimatsu's vanishing theorem, Gibrau's vanishing theorem, Le Potier's vanishing theorem and a version of the Kawamata-Viehweg vanishing theorem.

Finite Logarithmic Order Meromorphic Solutions of Complex Linear Delay-Differential Equations

In this article, we study the growth of meromorphic solutions of linear delay-differential equation of the form \begin{equation*} \sum_{i=0}^{n}\sum_{j=0}^{m}A_{ij}(z)f^{(j)}(z+c_{i})=F(z), \end{equation*}% where $A_{ij}(z)$ $(i=0,1,\ldots ,n,j=0,1,\ldots ,m,n,m\in \mathbb{N})$ and $% F(z)$ are meromorphic of finite logarithmic order, $c_{i}(i=0,\ldots ,n)$ are distinct non-zero complex constants. We extend those results obtained recently by Chen and Zheng, Bellaama and Bela\"ıdi to the logarithmic lower order.

Differential inequalities and a Marty-type criterion for quasi-normality

We show that the family of all holomorphic functions $f$ in a domain $D$ satisfying $$\frac{|f^{(k)}|}{1+|f|}(z)\le C \qquad \mbox{ for all } z\in D$$ (where $k$ is a natural number and $C>0$) is quasi-normal. Furthermore, we give a general counterexample to show that for $α>1$ and $k\ge2$ the condition $$\frac{|f^{(k)}|}{1+|f|^α}(z)\le C \qquad \mbox{ for all } z\in D$$ does not imply quasi-normality.
