In this paper we show that for Riemannian manifolds with boundary the natural restriction map is a quasifibration between spaces of metrics of positive scalar curvature. We apply this result to study homotopy properties of spaces of such metrics on manifolds with boundary.

Volume and macroscopic scalar curvature

We prove the macroscopic cousins of three conjectures: 1) a conjectural bound of the simplicial volume of a Riemannian manifold in the presence of a lower scalar curvature bound, 2) the conjecture that rationally essential manifolds do not admit metrics of positive scalar curvature, 3) a conjectural bound of $L^2$-Betti numbers of aspherical Riemannian manifolds in the presence of a lower scalar curvature bound. The macroscopic cousin is the statement one obtains by replacing a lower scalar curvature bound by an upper bound on the volumes of $1$-balls in the universal cover.

Topological Rigidity and Positive scalar curvature

In this paper, we study the topological rigidity and its relationship with the positivity of scalar curvature. Precisely, we show that any complete contractible $3$-manifold with non-negative scalar curvature is homeomorphic to $\mathbf{R}^3$.

Positive Scalar Curvature on Noncompact Manifolds and the Liouville Theorem

Using minimal hypersurfaces, we obtain topological obstructions to admitting complete metrics with positive scalar curvature on a given class of non-compact n-manifolds with n less than 8. We show that the Liouville theorem for a locally conformally flat n-manifold of non-negative scalar curvature follows from the impossibility of there being a positive scalar curvature metric on its connect sum with the n-torus. Scalar curvatures of Hermitian metrics on the moduli space of Riemann surfaces

In this article we show that any finite cover of the moduli space of closed Riemann surfaces of $g$ genus with $g\geq 2$ does not admit any complete finite-volume Hermitian metric of non-negative scalar curvature. Moreover, we also show that the total mass of the scalar curvature of any almost Hermitian metric, which is equivalent to the Teichmüller metric, on any finite cover of the moduli space is negative provided that the scalar curvature is bounded from below.

Scalar curvature, mean curvature and harmonic maps to the circle

We study harmonic maps from a 3-manifold with boundary to $\mathbb{S}^1$ and prove a special case of dihedral rigidity of three dimensional cubes whose dihedral angles are $π/ 2$. Furthermore we give some applications to mapping torus hyperbolic 3-manifolds.
