These notes discuss various aspect of the ``representation theory'' of Poisson manifolds, with focus on Morita equivalence and Picard groups. We give a brief introduction to Poisson geometry (including Dirac and twisted Poisson structures) and algebraic Morita theory before presenting the geometric Morita theory of Poisson manifolds. We also point out the connections with the theory of symplectic groupoids and hamiltonian actions.

Notes on Geometric Morita equivalence of twisted Poisson manifolds

This paper is devoted to the study of Morita equivalence for twisted Poisson manifolds. We review some Morita invariants and prove that integrable twisted Poisson manifolds which are gauge equivalent are Morita equivalent. Moreover, we introduce the notion of weak Morita equivalence and show that if two twisted Poisson manifolds are weak Morita equivalent, there exists a one-to-one correspondence between their twisted symplectic leaves.

Rational Morita equivalence for holomorphic Poisson modules

We introduce a weak concept of Morita equivalence, in the birational context, for Poisson modules on complex normal Poisson projective varieties. Morita equivalence of formal Poisson structures

We extend the notion of Morita equivalence of Poisson manifolds to the setting of {\em formal} Poisson structures, i.e., formal power series of bivector fields $π=π_0 + λπ_1 +\cdots$ satisfying the Poisson integrability condition $[π,π]=0$. Classification of Invariant Star Products up to Equivariant Morita Equivalence on Symplectic Manifolds

In this paper we investigate equivariant Morita theory for algebras with momentum maps and compute the equivariant Picard groupoid in terms of the Picard groupoid explicitly. We consider three types of Morita theory: ring-theoretic equivalence, *-equivalence and strong equivalence. Then we apply these general considerations to star product algebras over symplectic manifolds with a Lie algebra symmetry. We obtain the full classification up to equivariant Morita equivalence.

Moduli spaces of flat connections and Morita equivalence of quantum tori

We study moduli spaces of flat connections on surfaces with boundary, with boundary conditions given by Lagrangian Lie subalgebras. The resulting symplectic manifolds are closely related with Poisson-Lie groups and their algebraic structure (such as symplectic groupoid structure) gets a geometrical explanation via 3-dimensional cobordisms. Functoriality and Morita equivalence of operator algebras and Poisson manifolds associated to groupoids

It is well known that a measured groupoid G defines a von Neumann algebra W*(G), and that a Lie groupoid G canonically defines both a C*-algebra C*(G) and a Poisson manifold A*(G). We show that the maps G -> W*(G), G -> C*(G) and G -> A*(G) are functorial with respect to suitable categories. In these categories Morita equivalence is isomorphism of objects, so that these maps preserve Morita equivalence.

Morita equivalences of vector bundles

We study vector bundles over Lie groupoids, known as VB-groupoids, and their induced geometric objects over differentiable stacks. We establish a fundamental theorem that characterizes VB-Morita maps in terms of fiber and basic data, and use it to prove the Morita invariance of VB-cohomology, with implications to deformation cohomology of Lie groupoids and of classic geometries. Quantization and Morita equivalence for constant Dirac structures on tori

We define a C*-algebraic quantization of constant Dirac structures on tori, which extends the standard quantization of Poisson structures. We prove that Dirac structures in the same orbit of a natural action of O(n,n|Z) give rise to Morita equivalent algebras, completing and extending a theorem of Rieffel and Schwarz.

In this paper we consider algebras with involution over a ring C which is given by the quadratic extension by i of an ordered ring R. We introduce quasi-symplectic groupoids and explain their relation with momentum map theories. Semiclassical Geometry of Quantum Line Bundles and Morita Equivalence of Star Products

In this paper we show how deformation quantization of line bundles over a Poisson manifold $M$ produces a canonical action $Φ$ of the Picard group $\Pic(M)\cong H^2(M,\mathbb Z)$ on the moduli space of equivalence classes of differential star products on $M$, $\Def(M)$. The orbits of $Φ$ characterize Morita equivalent star products on $M$. We describe the semiclassical limit of $Φ$ in terms of the characteristic classes of star products by studying the semiclassical geometry of deformed line bundles.
