Schubert varieties and the fusion products. The general case

This paper generalizes the results of the paper \cite{mi3} to the case of the general $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ Schubert varieties. We study the homomorphisms between different Schubert varieties, describe their geometry and the group of the line bundles. We also derive some consequences, concerning the infinite-dimensional generalized affine grassmanians.

Schubert varieties and the fusion products

For each $A\in\N^n$ we define a Schubert variety $\sh_A$ as a closure of the $\Slt(\C[t])$-orbit in the projectivization of the fusion product $M^A$. We clarify the connection of the geometry of the Schubert varieties with an algebraic structure of $M^A$ as $\slt\otimes\C[t]$ modules. In the case when all the entries of $A$ are different $\sh_A$ is smooth projective algebraic variety. Folding procedure for Newton-Okounkov polytopes of Schubert varieties

The theory of Newton-Okounkov polytopes is a generalization of that of Newton polytopes for toric varieties, and it gives a systematic method of constructing toric degenerations of a projective variety. In the case of Schubert varieties, their Newton-Okounkov polytopes are deeply connected with representation theory. Quantum toric degeneration of quantum flag and Schubert varieties

We show that certain homological regularity properties of graded connected algebras, such as being AS-Gorenstein or AS-Cohen-Macaulay, can be tested by passing to associated graded rings. In the spirit of noncommutative algebraic geometry, this can be seen as an analogue of the classical result that, in a flat family of varieties over the affine line, regularity properties of the exceptional fiber extend to all fibers. Seshadri stratification for Schubert varieties and Standard Monomial Theory

The theory of Seshadri stratifications has been developed by the authors with the intention to build up a new geometric approach towards a standard monomial theory for embedded projective varieties with certain nice properties. In this article, we investigate the Seshadri stratification on a Schubert variety arising from its Schubert subvarieties. We show that the standard monomial theory developed in [32] is compatible with this new strategy.

Quantum analogues of Schubert varieties in the grassmannian

We study quantum Schubert varieties from the point of view of regularity conditions. More precisely, we show that these rings are domains which are maximal orders and are AS-Cohen-Macaulay and we determine which of them are AS-Gorenstein. One key fact that enables us to prove these results is that quantum Schubert varieties are quantum graded algebras with a straightening law that have a unique minimal element in the defining poset.
