We give an extensive treatment of the Constant Mean Curvature (CMC) Einstein flow from the point of view of the Bel-Robinson energies. The article, in particular, stresses on estimates showing how the Bel-Robinson energies and the volume of the evolving states control intrinsically the flow along evolution. We study Bakry-Emery type estimates for the Laplace-Beltrami operator of a totally geodesic foliation. In particular, we are interested in situations for which the $Γ_2$ operator may not be bounded from below but the horizontal Bakry-Emery curvature is. The problem of quasilocal energy has been extensively studied mainly in four dimensions. Here we report results regarding the quasilocal energy in spacetime dimension $n\geq 4$. After generalising three distinct quasilocal energy definitions to higher dimensions under appropriate assumptions, we evaluate their small sphere limits along lightcone cuts shrinking towards the lightcone vertex. We develop some pluripotential theoretic techniques for the transversally holomorphic foliation of a Sasakian manifold. We prove the convexity of the K-energy along weak geodesics for Sasakian manifolds. This implies that the K-energy is bounded below if a constant scalar curvature structure exists with those metrics minimizing it. Let $\mathcal{F}$ be a compact Hausdorff foliation on a compact manifold. Let ${E_2^{>0,\bullet}}=\oplus\{E_2^{p,q}\colon p>0,q\geq 0\}$ be the subalgebra of cohomology classes with positive transverse degree in the $E_2$ term of the spectral sequence of the foliation. We prove that the saturated transverse Lusternik-Schnirelmann category of $\mathcal{F}$ is bounded below by the length of the cup product in ${E_2^{>0,\bullet}}$.
