We study the von Neumann algebra generated by q--deformed Gaussian elements l_i+l_i^* where operators l_i fulfill the q--deformed canonical commutation relations l_i l_j^*-q l_j^* l_i=delta_{ij} for -1<q<1. We show that if the number of generators is finite, greater than some constant depending on q, it is a II_1 factor which does not have the property Gamma. Our technique can be used for proving factoriality of many examples of von Neumann algebras arising from some generalized Brownian motions, both for type II_1 and type III case.

Type B Gaussian Statistics as Noncommutative Central Limits

We show that the noncommutative central limit theorem of Speicher can be adapted to produce the Gaussian statistics associated to Coxeter groups of type B, in the sense of Bożejko, Ejsmont, and Hasebe. Specifically, we show how type B Gaussian statistics naturally arise in systems of 'mixed spins', providing a new application of Speicher's argument and paving the way for the transfer of known results from the bosonic/fermionic settings to such broader contexts.

Strong hypercontractivity in non-commutative holomorphic spaces

We introduce holomorphic algebras $H_q$ in the context of the q-Gaussian algebra $Γ_q$ of Bozejko, Kümmerer, and Speicher, and give a q-Segal-Bargmann transform for them. We then prove a strong hypercontractivity theorem, generalizing Janson's strong (holomorphic) hypercontractivity, from $L^2(H_q) \to L^r(H_q)$ for r an even integer.

To any strongly continuous orthogonal representation of $\R$ on a real Hilbert space $\CH_\R$, Hiai constructed $q$-deformed Araki-Woods von Neumann algebras for $-1< q< 1$, which are $W^{\ast}$-algebras arising from non tracial representations of the $q$-commutation relations, the latter yielding an interpolation between the Bosonic and Fermionic statistics. On the isomorphism class of $q$-Gaussian C$^\ast$-algebras for infinite variables

For a real Hilbert space $H_{\mathbb{R}}$ and $-1 < q < 1$ Bozejko and Speicher introduced the C$^\ast$-algebra $A_q(H_{\mathbb{R}})$ and von Neumann algebra $M_q(H_{\mathbb{R}})$ of $q$-Gaussian variables. We prove that if $\dim(H_{\mathbb{R}}) = \infty$ and $-1 < q < 1, q \not = 0$ then $M_q(H_{\mathbb{R}})$ does not have the Akemann-Ostrand property with respect to $A_q(H_{\mathbb{R}})$. It follows that $A_q(H_{\mathbb{R}})$ is not isomorphic to $A_0(H_{\mathbb{R}})$. This gives an answer to the C$^\ast$-algebraic part of Question 1.1 and Question 1.2 in [NeZe18].

Some estimates for non-microstates free entropy dimension, with applications to $q$-semicircular families

We give an general estimate for the non-microstates free entropy dimension $δ^{*}(X_{1},..., X_{n})$. If $X_{1},..., X_{n}$ generate a diffuse von Neumann algebra, we prove that $δ^{*}(X_{1},..., X_{n})\geq 1$. In the case that $X_{1},..., X_{n}$ are $q$-semicircular variables as introduced by Bozejko and Speicher and $q^{2}n<1$, we show that $δ^{*}(X_{1},..., X_{n})>1$. Some results on continuous deformed free group factors

We construct a Fock space associated to a symmetric function $Q:U\times U \to (-1,1)$, where $U$ is a nonempty open subset of $\mathbb R^j$ for some $j$. Namely, we will have operator-valued distributions $a(x)$ and $a^+(y)$ satisfying $a(x)a^+(y)-Q(x,y)a^+(y)a(x)=δ(x-y)$. Analogous to the $q_{ij}$-Fock space of Bozejko and Speicher, we have field operators arising as the sum of the creation and annihilation operators.
