A parallelotope is a polytope whose translation copies fill space without gaps and intersections by interior points. Voronoi conjectured that each parallelotope is an affine image of the Dirichlet domain of a lattice, which is a Voronoi polytope. We give several properties of a parallelotope and prove that each of them is equivalent to it is an affine image of a Voronoi polytope.

Proof of the Voronoi conjecture for 3-irreducible parallelotopes

This article proves the Voronoi conjecture on parallelotopes in the special case of 3-irreducible tilings. Parallelotopes are convex polytopes which tile the Euclidean space by their translated copies, like in the honeycomb arrangement of hexagons in the plane. An important example of parallelotope is the Dirichlet-Voronoi domain for a translation lattice. By a {\em Voronoi parallelotope} $P(a)$ we mean a parallelotope determined by a non-negative quadratic form $a$. It was studied by Voronoi in his famous memoir. Closure of principal L-type domain and its parallelotopes

Voronoi defined two polyhedral partitions of the cone of se\mi\de\fi\nite forms into L-type domains and into perfect domains. Up to equivalence, there is only one domain that is simultaneously perfect and L-type. Voronoi called this domain {\em principal}. We show that closure of the principal domain may be identified with a cone of cut submodular set functions. Parallelotopes of the closed principal domain are zonotopes that are base polyhedra related to graphic unimodular sets of vectors.

Voronoi conjectured that any parallelotope is affinely equivalent to a Voronoi polytope. A parallelotope is defined by a set of $m$ facet vectors $p_i$ and defines a set of $m$ lattice vectors $t_i$, $1\le i\le m$. We show that Voronoi's conjecture is true for an $n$-dimensional parallelotope $P$ if and only if there exist scalars $γ_i$ and a positive definite $n\times n$ matrix $Q$ such that $γ_i p_i=Qt_i$ for all $i$. The Dodecahedron as a Voronoi Cell and its (minor) importance for the Kepler conjecture

The regular dodecahedron has a 2% smaller volume than the rhombic dodecahedron which is the Voronoi cell of a fcc packing. From this point of view it seems possible that the dodecahedral aspect which is the core of the so-called dodecahedral conjecture, will play a major part for an elementary proof of the Kepler conjecture. On combinatorics of Voronoi polytopes for perturbations of the dual root lattices

The Voronoi conjecture for parallelohedra with simply connected $δ$-surface

We show that the Voronoi conjecture is true for parallelohedra with simply connected $δ$-surface. Namely, we show that if the boundary of parallelohedron $P$ remains simply connected after removing closed non-primitive faces of codimension 2, then $P$ is affinely equivalent to a Dirichlet-Voronoi domain of some lattice. Also we construct the $π$-surface associated with a parallelohedron and give another condition in terms of homology group of the constructed surface. Every parallelohedron with simply connected $δ$-surface also satisfies the condition on homology group of the $π$-surface.
