Let X be a projective variety, $σ$ an automorphism of X, L a $σ$-ample invertible sheaf on X, and Z a closed subscheme of X. Following Artin and Zhang's formulation of noncommutative projective geometry, we classify up a family of skew polynomial quadratic algebras up to graded Morita equivalence and their corresponding noncommutative projective spaces up to birational equivalences. We also study their point varieties and provide examples of non-isomorphic noncommutative projective spaces.
These notes are an expanded version of the author's lectures at the graduate workshop "Noncommutative Algebraic Geometry" at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in June 2012. We generalize a theorem of Kapranov by showing that the Hall algebra of the category of coherent sheaves on a weighted projective line (over a finite field) provides a realization of the (quantized) enveloping algebra of a certain nilpotent subalgebra of the affinization of the correponding Kac-Moody algebra. The Beilinson-Bloch type conjectures predict that the low degree rational Chow groups of intersections of quadrics are one dimensional. This conjecture was proved by Otwinowska. This paper studies etale twists of derived categories of schemes and associative algebras. A general method, based on a new construction called the twisted Brauer space, is given for classifying etale twists, and a complete classification is carried out for genus 0 curves, quadrics, and noncommutative projective spaces. A partial classification is given for curves of higher genus. The techniques build upon my recent work with David Gepner on the Brauer groups of commutative ring spectra.
