We prove three results on wavelets for the Hardy space H^2(\R). All wavelets constructed so far for H^2(\R) are MSF wavelets. We construct a family of H^2-wavelets which are not MSF. An equivalence relation on H^2-wavelets is introduced and it is shown that the corresponding equivalence classes are non-empty. Finally, we construct a family of H^2-wavelets with Fourier transform discontinuous at the origin.
We introduce a method to construct large classes of MSF wavelets of the Hardy space H^2(\R) and symmetric MSF wavelets of L^2(\R), and discuss the classification of such sets. As application, we show that there are uncountably many wavelet sets of L^2(\R) and H^2(\R). We also enumerate all symmetric wavelets of L^2(\R) with at most three intervals in the positive axis as well as 3-interval wavelet sets of H^2(\R). Finally, we construct families of MSF wavelets of L^2(\R) whose Fourier transform does not vanish in any neighbourhood of the origin.
In this paper we define a new class of continuous fractional wavelet transform (CFrWT) and study its properties in Hardy space and Morrey space. The theory developed generalize and complement some of already existing results.
We show that problems of existence and characterization of wavelets for non-expanding dilations are intimately connected with the geometry of numbers; more specifically, with a bound on the number of lattice points in balls dilated by the powers of a dilation matrix $A \in \mathrm{GL}(n,\mathbb{R})$. This connection is not visible for the well-studied class of expanding dilations since the desired lattice counting estimate holds automatically. We show that the lattice counting estimate holds for all dilations $A$ with $\left|\det{A}\right|\ne 1$ and for almost every lattice $Γ$ with respect to…
This paper is devoted to the study of operator-valued Hardy spaces via wavelet method. This approach is parallel to that in noncommutative martingale case. We show that our Hardy spaces defined by wavelet coincide with those introduced by Tao Mei via the usual Lusin and Littlewood-Paley square functions. As a consequence, we give an explicit complete unconditional basis of the Hardy space H1(R) when H1(R) is equipped with an appropriate operator space structure.
A rather tricky question is the construction of wavelet bases on domains for suitable function spaces (Sobolev, Besov, Triebel-Lizorkin type). In his monograph from 2008, Triebel presented an approach how to construct wavelet (Riesz) bases in function spaces of Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin type on cellular domains, in particular on the cube. However, he had to exclude essential exceptional values of the smoothness parameter $s$, for instance the theorems do not cover the Sobolev space W_2^1(Q) on the n-dimensional cube Q for n at least 2. Triebel also gave an idea how to deal with those exceptio…
Let $({\mathcal X},d,μ)$ be a metric measure space of homogeneous type in the sense of R. R. Coifman and G. Weiss and $H^1_{\rm at}({\mathcal X})$ be the atomic Hardy space. Via orthonormal bases of regular wavelets and spline functions recently constructed by P. Auscher and T. Hytönen, together with obtaining some crucial lower bounds for regular wavelets, the authors give an unconditional basis of $H^1_{\rm at}({\mathcal X})$ and several equivalent characterizations of $H^1_{\rm at}({\mathcal X})$ in terms of wavelets, which are proved useful.
The aim of this article is to give a complete solution to the problem of the bilinear decompositions of the products of some Hardy spaces $H^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and their duals in the case when $p<1$ and near to $1$, via wavelets, paraproducts and the theory of bilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators. Precisely, the authors establish the bilinear decompositions of the product spaces $H^p(\mathbb{R}^n)\times\dotΛ_α (\mathbb{R}^n)$ and $H^p(\mathbb{R}^n)\timesΛ_α(\mathbb{R}^n)$, where, for all $p\in(\frac{n}{n+1},\,1)$ and $α:=n(\frac{1}{p}-1)$, $H^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ denotes the classical real Hardy spac…
This paper defines local weighted Hardy spaces with variable exponent. Local Hardy spaces permit atomic decomposition, which is one of the main themes in this paper. A consequence is that the atomic decomposition is obtained for the functions in the Lebesgue spaces with exponentially decaying exponent. As an application, we obtain the boundedness of singular integral operators, the Littlewood--Paley characterization and wavelet decomposition.
We give an alternative proof of recent results by the authors on uniform boundedness of dyadic averaging operators in (quasi-)Banach spaces of Hardy-Sobolev and Triebel-Lizorkin type. This result served as the main tool to establish Schauder basis properties of suitable enumerations of the univariate Haar system in the mentioned spaces. The rather elementary proof here is based on characterizations of the respective spaces in terms of orthogonal compactly supported Daubechies wavelets.
The purpose of this paper is to articulate an observation that many interesting type of wavelets (or coherent states) arise from group representations which are not square integrable or vacuum vectors which are not admissible. This extends an applicability of the popular wavelets construction to classic examples like the Hardy space. Keywords: Wavelets, coherent states, group representations, Hardy space, functional calculus, Berezin calculus, Radon transform, Moebius map, maximal function, affine group, special linear group, numerical range.
Nowadays the theory and application of wavelet decompositions plays an important role not only for the study of function spaces (of Lebesgue, Hardy, Sobolev, Besov, Triebel-Lizorkin type) but also for its applications in signal and numerical analysis, partial differential equations and image processing. In this context it it a hard problem to construct wavelet bases for suitable function spaces on domains, e. g. the unit cube. A big step in this direction are the contributions of Hans Triebel from 2006 to 2008 where he constructed Riesz bases for classes of Besov- and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces o…
The paper develops theory of covariant transform, which is inspired by the wavelet construction. It was observed that many interesting types of wavelets (or coherent states) arise from group representations which are not square integrable or vacuum vectors which are not admissible. Covariant transform extends an applicability of the popular wavelets construction to classic examples like the Hardy space H_2, Banach spaces, covariant functional calculus and many others. Keywords: Wavelets, coherent states, group representations, Hardy space, Littlewood-Paley operator, functional calculus, Berezi…
It was well known that geometric considerations enter in a decisive way in many questions of harmonic analysis. The main purpose of this paper is to provide the criterion of the boundedness for singular integrals on the Hardy spaces and as well as on its dual, particularly on $\bmo$ for spaces of homogeneous type $(X, d,μ)$ in the sense of Coifman and Weiss, where the quasi-metric $d$ may have no regularity and the measure $μ$ satisfies only the doubling property. We make no additional geometric assumptions on the quasi-metric or the doubling measure and thus, the results of this paper extend …
Let $(X,d,μ)$ be a space of homogeneous type, with the upper dimension $ω$, in the sense of R. R. Coifman and G. Weiss. Assume that $η$ is the smoothness index of the wavelets on $X$ constructed by P. Auscher and T. Hytönen. In this article, when $p\in(ω/(ω+η),1]$, for the atomic Hardy spaces $H_{\mathrm{cw}}^p(X)$ introduced by Coifman and Weiss, the authors establish their various real-variable characterizations, respectively, in terms of the grand maximal function, the radial maximal function, the non-tangential maximal functions, the various Littlewood-Paley functions and wavelet functions…
In this paper, the authors establish new characterizations of the recently introduced Besov-type spaces $\dot{B}^{s,τ}_{p,q}({\mathbb R}^n)$ and Triebel-Lizorkin-type spaces $\dot{F}^{s,τ}_{p,q}({\mathbb R}^n)$ with $p\in (0,\infty]$, $s\in{\mathbb R}$, $τ\in [0,\infty)$, and $q\in (0,\infty]$, as well as their preduals, the Besov-Hausdorff spaces $B\dot{H}^{s,τ}_{p,q}(\R^n)$ and Triebel-Lizorkin-Hausdorff spaces $F\dot{H}^{s,τ}_{p,q}(\R^n)$, in terms of the local means, the Peetre maximal function of local means, and the tent space (the Lusin area function) in both discrete and continuous typ…
Hytönen, the authors prove that the product $f\times g$ of $f\in H^1_{\rm at}({\mathcal X})$ and $g\in\mathop\mathrm{BMO}({\mathcal X})$, viewed as a distribution, can be written into a sum of two bounded bilinear operators, respectively, from $H^1_{\rm at}({\mathcal X})\times\mathop\mathrm{BMO}({\mathcal X})$ into $L^1…
This is (raw) lecture notes of the course read on 6th European intensive course on Complex Analysis (Coimbra, Portugal) in 2000. Our purpose is to describe a general framework for generalizations of the complex analysis. As a consequence a classification scheme for different generalizations is obtained. The framework is based on wavelets (coherent states) in Banach spaces generated by ``admissible'' group representations. Reduced wavelet transform allows naturally describe in abstract term main objects of an analytical function theory: the Cauchy integral formula, the Hardy and Bergman spaces,…
Suppose that $(X,d,μ)$ is a space of homogeneous type, with upper dimension $μ$, in the sense of R. R. Coifman and G. Weiss. Let $η$ be the Hölder regularity index of wavelets constructed by P. Auscher and T. Hytönen. In this article, the authors introduce the local Hardy space $h^{*,p}(X)$ via local grand maximal functions and also characterize $h^{*,p}(X)$ via local radial maximal functions, local non-tangential maximal functions, locally atoms and local Littlewood--Paley functions. Furthermore, the authors establish the relationship between the global and the local Hardy spaces. Finally, th…
Let $p\in(0,1)$, $α:=1/p-1$ and, for any $τ\in [0,\infty)$, $Φ_{p}(τ):=τ/(1+τ^{1-p})$. Let $H^p(\mathbb R^n)$, $h^p(\mathbb R^n)$ and $Λ_{nα}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ be, respectively, the Hardy space, the local Hardy space and the inhomogeneous Lipschitz space on $\mathbb{R}^n$. In this article, applying the inhomogeneous renormalization of wavelets, the authors establish a bilinear decomposition for multiplications of elements in $h^p(\mathbb R^n)$ [or $H^p(\mathbb R^n)$] and $Λ_{nα}(\mathbb{R}^n)$, and prove that these bilinear decompositions are sharp in some sense. As applications, the authors also…
