Let A be an associative complex algebra and L an invariant linear functional on it (trace). Let i be an involutive antiautomorphism of A such that L(i(a))=L(a) for any a in A. Then A admits a symmetric invariant bilinear form (a, b)=L(a i(b)). For A=U(sl(2))/m, where m is any maximal ideal of U(sl(2)), Leites and I have constructed orthogonal basis whose elements turned out to be, essentially, Chebyshev and Hahn polynomials in one discrete variable.
Here I take A=U(gl(3))/m for the maximal ideals m which annihilate irreducible highest weight gl(3)-modules of particular form (generalizations of symmetric powers of the identity representation). In this way we obtain multivariable analogs of Hahn polynomials.
Let $U$ be either classical or quantized universal enveloping algebra of $\sł(n+1)$ extended over the field of fractions of the Cartan subalgebra. We suggest a PBW basis in $U$ over the extended Cartan subalgebra diagonalizing the contravariant Shapovalov form on generic Verma module. The matrix coefficients of the form are calculated and the inverse of the form is explicitly constructed.
We construct infinite-dimensional analogues of finite-dimensional simple modules of the nonstandard $q$-deformed enveloping algebra $U_q'(\mathfrak{so}_n)$ defined by Gavrilik and Klimyk, and we do the same for the classical universal enveloping algebra $U(\mathfrak{so}_n)$. In this paper we only consider the case when $q$ is not a root of unity, and $q\to 1$ for the classical case. Extending work by Mazorchuk on $\mathfrak{so}_n$, we provide rational matrix coefficients for these infinite-dimensional modules of both $U_q'(\mathfrak{so}_n)$ and $U(\mathfrak{so}_n)$. We use these modules with r…
We construct a new class of algebras resembling enveloping algebras and generalizing orthogonal Gelfand-Zeitlin algebras and rational Galois algebras studied by [EMV,FuZ,RZ,Har]. The algebras are defined via a geometric realization in terms of sheaves of functions invariant under an action of a finite group. A natural class of modules over these algebra can be constructed via a similar geometric realization. In the special case of a local reflection group, these modules are shown to have an explicit basis, generalizing similar results for orthogonal Gelfand-Zeitlin algebras from [EMV] and for …
We define a class of quantum linear Galois algebras which include the universal enveloping algebra Uq(gln), the quantum Heisenberg Lie algebra and other quantum orthogonal Gelfand-Zetlin algebras of type A, the subalgebras of G-invariants of the quantum affine space, quantum torus for G = G(m, p, n), and of the quantum Weyl algebra for G = Sn. We show that all quantum linear Galois algebras satisfy the quantum Gelfand-Kirillov conjecture. Moreover, it is shown that the the subalgebras of invariants of the quantum affine space and of quantum torus for the reflection groups and of the quantum We…
We study a class of quantized enveloping algebras, called twisted Yangians, associated with the symmetric pairs of types B, C, D in Cartan's classification. These algebras can be regarded as coideal subalgebras of the extended Yangian for orthogonal or symplectic Lie algebras. They can also be presented as quotients of a reflection algebra by additional symmetry relations. We prove an analogue of the Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt Theorem, determine their centres and also study extended reflection algebras.
There is renewed interest in the coideal subalgebras used to form quantum symmetric pairs because of recent discoveries showing that they play a fundamental role in the representation theory of quantized enveloping algebras. However, there is still no general theory of finite-dimensional modules for these coideals. In this paper, we establish an important step in this direction: we show that every quantum symmetric pair coideal subalgebra admits a quantum Cartan subalgebra which is a polynomial ring that specializes to its classical counterpart. The construction builds on Kostant and Sugiura's…
