The representation category of the quantum group of a non-degenerate bilinear form

Quantum groups of GL(2) representation type

We classify the cosemisimple Hopf algebras whose corepresentation semi-ring is isomorphic to that of GL(2). This leads us to define a new family of Hopf algebras which generalize the quantum similitude group of a non-degenerate bilinear form. A detailed study of these Hopf algebras gives us an isomorphic classification and the description of their corepresentation categories.

On Griess Algebras

In this paper we prove that for any commutative (but in general non-associative) algebra $A$ with an invariant symmetric non-degenerate bilinear form there is a graded vertex algebra $V = V_0 \oplus V_2 \oplus V_3\oplus ...$, such that $\dim V_0 = 1$ and $V_2$ contains $A$. We can choose $V$ so that if $A$ has a unit $e$, then $2e$ is the Virasoro element of $V$, and if $G$ is a finite group of automorphisms of $A$, then $G$ acts on $V$ as well. In addition, the algebra $V$ can be chosen with a non-degenerate invariant bilinear form, in which case it is simple.

Lie algebras and degenerate Affine Hecke Algebras of type A

We construct a family of exact functors from the BGG category of representations of the Lie algebra sl to the category of finite-dimensional representations of the degenerate (or graded) affine Hecke algebra H of GL. These functors transform Verma modules to standard modules or zero, and simple modules to simple modules or zero. Any simple H-module can be thus obtained.

An invariant supertrace for the category of representations of Lie superalgebras

In this paper we give a re-normalization of the supertrace on the category of representations of Lie superalgebras of type I, by a kind of modified superdimension. The genuine superdimensions and supertraces are generically zero. However, these modified superdimensions are non-zero and lead to a kind of supertrace which is non-trivial and invariant. As an application we show that this new supertrace gives rise to a non-zero bilinear form on a space of invariant tensors of a Lie superalgebra of type I. We study a connection between the representation theory of the rational Cherednik algebra of type $GL_n$ and the representation theory of the degenerate double affine Hecke algebra (the degenerate DAHA). We prove that a finite braided tensor category A is invertible in the Morita 4-category BrTens of braided tensor categories if, and only if, it is non-degenerate. Morita classes of algebras in modular tensor categories

We consider algebras in a modular tensor category C. If the trace pairing of an algebra A in C is non-degenerate we associate to A a commutative algebra Z(A), called the full centre, in a doubled version of the category C. We prove that two simple algebras with non-degenerate trace pairing are Morita-equivalent if and only if their full centres are isomorphic as algebras. This result has an interesting interpretation in two-dimensional rational conformal field theory; it implies that there cannot be several incompatible sets of boundary conditions for a given bulk theory.
