Associated to a finite graph $X$ is its quantum automorphism group $G(X)$. We prove a formula of type $G(X*Y)=G(X)*_wG(Y)$, where $*_w$ is a free wreath product. Then we discuss representation theory of free wreath products, with the conjectural formula $μ(G*_wH)=μ(G)\boxtimesμ(H)$, where $μ$ is the associated spectral measure. This is verified in two situations: one using free probability techniques, the other one using planar algebras.

We introduce a notion of partition wreath product of a finite group by a partition quantum group, a construction motivated on the one hand by classical wreath products and on the other hand by the free wreath product of J. Bichon. The main result of the paper is a natural construction of the spherical subalgebra in a symplectic reflection algebra associated with a wreath-product in terms of quantum hamiltonian reduction of an algebra of differential operators on a representation space of an extended Dynkin quiver. The existence of such a construction has been conjectured in [EG]. We also present a new approach to reflection functors and shift functors for generalized preprojective algebras and symplectic reflection algebras associated with wreath-products.
