The new method for obtaining a variety of extensions of Hermite polynomials is given. As a first example a family of orthogonal polynomial systems which includes the generalized Hermite polynomials is considered. Apparently, either these polynomials satisfy the differential equation of the second order obtained in this work or there is no differential equation of a finite order for these polynomials.

Generalized coherent states for q-oscillator connected with q-Hermite polynomials

For the oscillator-like systems, connected with q-Hermite polynomials, coherent states of Barut-Girardello type are defined. The well-known Arik-Coon oscillator naturally arose in the framework of suggested approach as oscillator, connected with the Rogers q-Hermite polynomials, in the same way as usual oscillator with standard Hermite polynomials. The results about the coherent states for discrete q-Hermite polynomials of II type are quite new.

An algebraic interpretation of the continuous big q-Hermite polynomials

The continuous big $q$-Hermite polynomials are shown to realize a basis for a representation space of an extended $q$-oscillator algebra. An expansion formula is algebraically derived using this model.

Bivariate Continuous q-Hermite Polynomials and Deformed Quantum Serre Relations

We introduce bivariate versions of the continuous q-Hermite polynomials. We obtain algebraic properties for them (generating function, explicit expressions in terms of the univariate ones, backward difference equations and recurrence relations) and analytic properties (determining the orthogonality measure). We find a direct link between bivariate continuous q-Hermite polynomials and the star product method of [Kolb and Yakimov, Adv. Math. 2020] for quantum symmetric pairs to establish deformed quantum Serre relations for quasi-split quantum symmetric pairs of Kac-Moody type. We prove that the…

On factorization of q-difference equation for continuous q-Hermite polynomials

We argue that a customary q-difference equation for the continuous q-Hermite polynomials H_n(x|q) can be written in the factorized form as (D_q^2 - 1)H_n(x|q)=(q^{-n}-1)H_n(x|q), where D_q is some explicitly known q-difference operator. This means that the polynomials H_n(x|q) are in fact governed by the q-difference equation D_qH_n(x|q)=q^{-n/2}H_n(x|q), which is simpler than the conventional one.

q-deformed Hermite Polynomials in q-Quantum Mechanics

The q-special functions appear naturally in q-deformed quantum mechanics and both sides profit from this fact. Here we study the relation between the q-deformed harmonic oscillator and the q-Hermite polynomials. We discuss: recursion formula, generating function, Christoffel-Darboux identity, orthogonality relations and the moment functional.

Fractional supersymmetry algebra and lacunary Hermite polynomials

We consider a realization of fractional supersymmetric of quantum mechanics of order $r$, where the Hamiltonian and supercharges involve reflection operators. It is shown that the Hamiltonian has $r$-fold degenerate spectrum and the eigenvalues of hermitian supercharges are zeros of the associated Hermite polynomials of Askey and Wimp. Also it is shown that the associated eigenfunctions involve lacunary Hermite polynomials.

Anatomy of a q-generalization of the Laguerre/Hermite Orthogonal Polynomials

We study a q-generalization of the classical Laguerre/Hermite orthogonal polynomials. Explicit results include: the recursive coefficients, matrix elements of generators for the Heisenberg algebra, and the Hankel determinants. The power of quadratic relation is illustrated by comparing two ways of calculating recursive coefficients. Finally, we derive a q-deformed version of the Toda equations for both q-Laguerre/Hermite ensembles.

q-oscillator from the q-Hermite Polynomial

By factorization of the Hamiltonian describing the quantum mechanics of the continuous q-Hermite polynomial, the creation and annihilation operators of the q-oscillator are obtained. They satisfy a q-oscillator algebra as a consequence of the shape-invariance of the Hamiltonian. A second set of q-oscillator is derived from the exact Heisenberg operator solution. Now the q-oscillator stands on the equal footing to the ordinary harmonic oscillator.
