In this article, we will define two canonical cohomology theories for Hopf $C^*$-algebras and for Hopf von Neumann algebras (with coefficients in their bicomodules). We will then study the situations when these cohomologies vanish. The cases of locally compact groups and compact quantum groups will be considered in more details.

In this work we give a generalization of matched pairs of (finite) groups to describe a general class of depth two inclusions of factor von Neumann algebras and the C*-quantum groupoids associated with, using double groupoids.

We give a complete description of order isomorphisms between operator intervals in general von Neumann algebras. For the description, we use Jordan $^*$-isomorphisms and locally measurable operators. Our results generalize several works by L. Molnár and P. Šemrl on type I factors.
We will show a centrally free action of an amenable rigid C$^*$-tensor category on a properly infinite von Neumann algebra has the Rohlin property. This enables us to prove the fullness of the crossed product of a full factor by minimal action of a compact group. Recently, M. Daws introduced a notion of co-representation of abelian Hopf--von Neumann algebras on general reflexive Banach spaces. In this note, we show that this notion cannot be extended beyond subhomogeneous Hopf--von Neumann algebras.
