The universal enveloping algebra U(g) of a Lie algebra g acts on its representation ring R through D(R), the ring of differential operators on R. A quantised universal enveloping algebra (or "quantum group") is a deformation of a universal enveloping algebra and acts not through the differential operators of its representation ring but through the quantised differential operators of its representation ring. We present this situation for the quantum group of sl_2.

Quantum differential operators on K[x]

Following the definition of quantum differential operators given by Lunts and Rosenberg in (Sel. math., New ser. 3 (1997) 335--359), we show that the ring of quantum differential operators on the affine line is the ring generated by x and \del, the familiar differential operators on the line, along with two additional operators which we call \del^β^1 and \del^β^-1. Global Pseudo-differential Operators on the Quantum Group $SU_q(2)$

In this paper, following [1], we develop the theory of global pseudo-differential operators defined on the quantum group $SU_q(2)$, and provide some spectral results concerning these operators. We define a graduation for this algebra of pseudo-differential operators in terms of its natural Fourier decomposition and, using the infinite-dimensional representations introduced by Woronowicz [15], we also provide a $*$-representation of $SU_q(2)$ as bounded pseudo-differential operators acting on $L^2(\mathbb{S}^1)$.

$λ$-Differential operators and $λ$-differential modules for the Virasoro algebra

The concept of $λ$-differential operators is a natural generalization of differential operators and difference operators. In this paper, we determine the $λ$-differential Lie algebraic structure on the Witt algebra and the Virasoro algebra for invertible $λ$. Then we consider several families of modules over the Virasoro algebra with explicit module actions and determine the $λ$-differential module structures on them.

Z$_3$-graded differential geometry of quantum plane

In this work, the Z$_3$-graded differential geometry of the quantum plane is constructed. The corresponding quantum Lie algebra and its Hopf algebra structure are obtained. The dual algebra, i.e. universal enveloping algebra of the quantum plane is explicitly constructed and an isomorphism between the quantum Lie algebra and the dual algebra is given.

We present a differential calculus on the extension of the quantum plane obtained considering that the (bosonic) generator $x$ is invertible and furthermore working polynomials in $\ln x$ instead of polynomials in $x$. We call quantum Lie algebra to this extension and we obtain its Hopf algebra structure and its dual Hopf algebra. Fiber-Wise Linear Differential Operators

We define a new notion of fiber-wise linear differential operator on the total space of a vector bundle $E$. Our main result is that fiber-wise linear differential operators on $E$ are equivalent to (polynomial) derivations of an appropriate line bundle over $E^\ast$. We believe this might represent a first step towards a definition of multiplicative (resp. infinitesimally multiplicative) differential operators on a Lie groupoid (resp. a Lie algebroid). We also discuss the linearization of a differential operator around a submanifold.

Comment on the differential calculus on the quantum exterior plane

We give a two-parameter quantum deformation of the exterior plane and its differential calculus without the use of any R-matrix and relate it to the differential calculus with the R-matrix. We prove that there are two types of solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation whose symmetry group is $GL_{p,q}(2)$. We also give a two-parameter deformation of the fermionic oscillator algebra.

Quadratic differential operators, Bicharacters and $\bullet$ Products

For a commutative cocommutative Hopf algebra we study the relationship between a certain linear map defined via a bicharacter, an exponential of a quadratic differential operator and a $\bullet$ product obtained via twisting by a bicharacter. This new relationship between $\bullet$ products and exponentials of quadratic differential operators was inspired by studying the exponential of a particular quadratic differential operator introduced by I. Frenkel, Lepowsky and Meurman in "Vertex operator algebras and the Monster", and used in the theory of twisted modules of lattice vertex algebras.
