Homology of complete symbols and non-commutative geometry

We identify the periodic cyclic homology of the algebra of complete symbols on a differential groupoid $\GR$ in terms of the cohomology of $S^*(\GR)$, the cosphere bundle of $A(\GR)$, where $A(\GR)$ is the Lie algebroid of $\GR$. We also relate the Hochschild homology of this algebra with the homogeneous Poisson homology of the space $A^*(\GR) \smallsetminus 0 \cong S^*(\GR) \times (0,\infty)$, the dual of $A(\GR)$ with the zero section removed. We use then these results to compute the Hochschild and cyclic homologies of the algebras of complete symbols associated with manifolds with corners, when the corresponding Lie algebroid is rationally isomorphic to the tangent bundle.

The Heisenberg Calculus, Index Theory and Cyclic (Co)homology

A hypoelliptic operator in the Heisenberg calculus on a compact contact manifold is a Fredholm operator. Its symbol determines an element in the K-theory of the noncommutative algebra of Heisenberg symbols. We construct a periodic cyclic cocycle which, when paired with the Connes-Chern character of the principal Heisenberg symbol, calculates the index. Our index formula is local, i.e. given as a local expression in terms of the principal symbol of the operator and a connection on TM and its curvature. Homology of algebras of families of pseudodifferential operators

We compute the Hochschild, cyclic, and periodic cyclic homology groups of algebras of families of Laurent complete symbols on manifolds with corners. We show in particular that the spectral sequence associated with Hochschild homology degenerates at $E^2$ and converges to Hochschild homology. As a byproduct, we deduce an identification of the space of residue traces on fibrations by manifolds with corners. In the process, we prove several general results about algebras of complete symbols on manifolds with corners.

A non-commutative geometry approach to the representation theory of reductive $p$-adic groups: Homology of Hecke algebras, a survey and some new results

We survey some of the known results on the relation between the homology of the {\em full} Hecke algebra of a reductive $p$-adic group $G$, and the representation theory of $G$. Commutative Banach Algebras Generated by Toeplitz Operators on the Bergman Space

We present and study commutative Banach algebras generated by Toeplitz operators with generalized quasi-radial pseudo-homogeneous symbols acting on the Bergman space over the unit ball. We develop the Gelfand theory of these algebras and give some structural information about them. In particular, we provide a description of the radical of these algebras. This paper generalizes and completes the results from previous works related to Toeplitz operators with quasi-radial quasi-homogeneous symbols.

Non-Commutative Chern Characters of Compact Lie Group C*-Algebras

In this paper we compute the K-theory (algebraic and topological) and entire periodic cyclic homology of compact Lie group C*-algebras, define Chern characters between them and show that the Chern characters in both topological and algebraic cases are isomorphisms.

Definable $\mathrm{K}$-homology of separable C*-algebras

In this paper we show that the $\mathrm{K}$-homology groups of a separable C*-algebra can be enriched with additional descriptive set-theoretic information, and regarded as definable groups. Using a definable version of the Universal Coefficient Theorem, we prove that the corresponding definable $\mathrm{K}$-homology is a finer invariant than the purely algebraic one, even when restricted to the class of UHF C*-algebras, or to the class of unital commutative C*-algebras whose spectrum is a $1$-dimensional connected subspace of $\mathbb{R}^{3}$.

Non-Archimedean analytic cyclic homology

Let $V$ be a complete discrete valuation ring with fraction field $F$ of characteristic zero and with residue field $\mathbb{F}$. We introduce analytic cyclic homology of complete torsion-free bornological algebras over $V$. We prove that it is homotopy invariant, stable, invariant under certain nilpotent extensions, and satisfies excision. We use these properties to compute it for tensor products with dagger completions of Leavitt path algebras.
