We establish a discrepancy theorem for signed measures, with a given positive part, which are supported on an arbitrary convex curve. As a main application, we obtain a result concerning the distribution of zeros of polynomials orthogonal on a convex domain.

Ladder operators and differential equations for multiple orthogonal polynomials

In this paper, we obtain the ladder operators and associated compatibility conditions for the type I and the type II multiple orthogonal polynomials. These ladder equations extend known results for orthogonal polynomials and can be used to derive the differential equations satisfied by multiple orthogonal polynomials. Strong asymptotic of Cauchy biorthogonal polynomials and orthogonal polynomials with varying measure

We give the strong asymptotic of Cauchy biorthogonal polynomials under the assumption that the defining measures are supported on non intersecting intervals of the real line and satisfy Szegő's condition. The biorthogonal polynomials are connected with certain mixed type Hermite-Padé polynomials, which verify full orthogonality relations with respect to some varying measures. Thus, the strong asymptotic of orthogonal polynomials with respect to varying measures plays a key role in the study.

Orthogonal polynomials and Hankel Determinants for certain Bernoulli and Euler Polynomials

Using continued fraction expansions of certain polygamma functions as a main tool, we find orthogonal polynomials with respect to the odd-index Bernoulli polynomials $B_{2k+1}(x)$ and the Euler polynomials $E_{2k+ν}(x)$, for $ν=0, 1, 2$. In the process we also determine the corresponding Jacobi continued fractions (or J-fractions) and Hankel determinants. In all these cases the Hankel determinants are polynomials in $x$ which factor completely over the rationals.

Relative Asymptotics of Orthogonal Polynomials for Perturbed Measures

In the context of orthogonal polynomials in the plane we introduce the notion of a polynomially small (PS) perturbation of a measure. In such a case we establish relative asymptotic results for the two sequences of the associated orthonormal polynomials. We also provide results dealing with the behaviour of the zeros of PS perturbations of area orthogonal (Bergman) polynomials.

On resolvent matrix, Dyukarev-Stieltjes parameters and orthogonal matrix polynomials via $[0,\infty)$-Stieltjes transformed sequences

By using Schur transformed sequences and Dyukarev-Stieltjes parameters we obtain a new representation of the resolvent matrix corresponding to the truncated matricial Stieltjes moment problem. Explicit relations between orthogonal matrix polynomials and matrix polynomials of the second kind constructed from consecutive Schur transformed sequences are obtained. Additionally, a non-negative Hermitian measure for which the matrix polynomials of the second kind are the orthogonal matrix polynomials is found.

Orthogonal Trigonometric Polynomials: Riemann-Hilbert Analysis and Relations with OPUC

In this paper, we study the theory of orthogonal trigonometric polynomials (OTP). We obtain asymptotics of OTP with positive and analytic weight functions by Riemann-Hilbert approach and find they have relations with orthogonal polynomials on the unit circle (OPUC). By the relations and the theory of OPUC, we also get four-terms recurrent formulae, Christoffel-Darboux formula and some properties of zeros for orthogonal trigonometric polynomials.

Orthogonal polynomials and Möbius transformations

Given an orthogonal polynomial sequence on the real line, another sequence of polynomials can be found by composing these polynomials with a general Möbius transformation. In this work, we study the properties of such Möbius-transformed polynomials.
