Let $k$ be a field of characteristic zero, $\g$ a $k$-Lie algebra, $e:S\g@>>>U\g$ the symmetrization map. The PBW quantization is the one parameter family of associative products: $$ x\star_t y=\sum_{p=0}^\infty B_p(x,y)t^p\qquad (t\in k) $$ where $B_p$ is the homogeneous component of degree $-p$ of the map $B:S\g\otimes_kS\g@>>>S\g$, $B(x,y)=e^{-1}(exey)$. In this paper we give an explicit formula for $B$. As an application, we prove that for each $p\ge 0$, $B_p$ is a bidifferential operator of order $\le p$.
Let $α$ be a polynomial Poisson bivector on a finite-dimensional vector space $V$ over $\mathbb{C}$. Then Kontsevich [K97] gives a formula for a quantization $f\star g$ of the algebra $S(V)^*$. We give a construction of an algebra with the PBW property defined from $α$ by generators and relations. Namely, we define an algebra as the quotient of the free tensor algebra $T(V^*)$ by relations $x_i\otimes x_j-x_j\otimes x_i=R_{ij}(\hbar)$ where $R_{ij}(\hbar)\in T(V^*)\otimes\hbar \mathbb{C}[[\hbar]]$, $R_{ij}=\hbar \Sym(α_{ij})+\mathcal{O}(\hbar^2)$, with one relation for each pair of $i,j=1...\d…
The Connes-Kreimer renormalization Hopf algebras are examples of a canonical quantization procedure for pre-Lie algebras. We give a simple construction of this quantization using the universal enveloping algebra for so-called twisted Lie algebras (Lie algebras in the category of symmetric sequences of k-modules). As an application, we obtain a simple proof of the (quantized) PBW theorem for Lie algebras which come from a pre-Lie product (over an arbitrary commutative ring). More generally, we observe that the quantization and the PBW theorem extend to pre-Lie algebras in arbitrary abelian symm…
We classify PBW-deformations of quadratic-constant type of certain quantizations of exterior algebras. These correspond to the fundamental modules of quantum $\mathfrak{sl}_N$, their duals, and their direct sums. We show that the first two cases do not admit any deformation, while in the third case we obtain an essentially unique algebra with good properties. We compare this algebra with other quantum Clifford algebras appearing in the literature.
We find a coproduct formula in the explicit form for PBW-generators of the two-parameter quantum group $U_q^+(\frak{g})$ where $\frak{g}$ is a simple Lie algebra of type $G_2$. The similar formulas for quantizations of simple Lie algebras of infinite series are already known.
We investigate the notions of weak annihilator and nilpotent associated prime defined by Ouyang and Birkenmeier \cite{OuyangBirkenmeier2012} in the setting of noncommutative rings having PBW bases. We extend several results formulated in the literature concerning annihilators and associated primes of commutative rings and skew polynomial rings to a more general setting of algebras not considered before. We exemplify our results with families of algebras appearing in the theory of enveloping algebras, differential operators on noncommutative spaces, noncommutative algebraic geometry, and theore…
In this paper, we give a recursive formula for the interesting PBW basis $E_{A}$ of composition subalgebras of Ringel-Hall algebras $\fkH_\vartri(n)$ of cyclic quivers after \cite{DengDuXiao2007generic}, and another construction of canonical bases of $\U_v^+(\wih{\fks\fkl}_n)$ from the monomial bases $m^{(A)}$ follow \cite{DuZhaomultiplication}. As an application, we will determined all the canonical basis of $\U_v^+(\wih{\fks\fkl}_2)$ associated with modules of Lowery length $\leqs3$. Finally, we will discuss the relation of canonical bases of Ringel-Hall algebras and those of affine quantum …
We find an explicit form for the coproduct formula for PBW generators of quantum groups of infinite series $U_q(\frak{sp}_{2n})$ and $U_q(\frak{so}_{2n}).$ Similar formulas for $U_q(\frak{sl}_{n+1})$ and $U_q(\frak{so}_{2n+1})$ are already known.
We define generalized bialgebras and Hopf algebras and on this basis we introduce quantum categories and quantum groupoids. The quantization of the category of linear (super)spaces is constructed. We establish a criterion for the classical value of the dimension of the polynomial function algebra on the full subcategory of this quantum category specified by Sudbery type commutation relations for quantum vector spaces (the ``Poincare -- Birkhoff -- Witt property''). The criterion is the equality of the ``quantum constants'' $c_\a=c_\b^{\pm 1}$ of the quantum vector spaces. (These constants appe…
We study Lie algebroids from the point of view noncommutative geometry. More specifically, using ideas from deformation quantization, we use the PBW-theorem for Lie algebroids to construct a Fedosov-type resolution for the associated sheaves of Weyl algebras. This resolution enables us to construct a "character map" --in the derived category-- from the sheafified cyclic chain complexes to the Chevalley--Eilenberg complex of the Lie algebroid. The index theorem computes the evaluation of this map on the trivial cycle in terms of the Todd--Chern characteristic class. Finally, we show compatibili…
Let $Γ$ be a finite group acting faithfully and linearly on a vector space $V$. Let $T(V)$ ($S(V)$) be the tensor (symmetric) algebra associated to $V$ which has a natural $Γ$ action. We study generalized quadratic relations on the tensor algebra $T(V)\rtimes Γ$. We prove that the quotient algebras of $T(V)\rtimes Γ$ by such relations satisfy PBW property. Such quotient algebras can be viewed as quantizations of linear or constant Poisson structures on $S(V)\rtimes Γ$, and are natural generalizations of symplectic reflection algebras.
Yangian Double $DY(A(m,n))$ of Lie Superalgebra $A(m,n)$ is described in terms of generators and defining relations. It is proved triangular decomposition for Yangian $Y(A(m,n))$ and its quantum double $DY(A(m,n))$ as a corollary of PBW theorem. It is introduced the normally ordered bases in Yangian and its dual Hopf superalgebra in quantum double. It is calculated the pairing formulas between the elements of its bases. It is received the formula of Universal $R$-matrix of Yangian Double. The formula for Universal $R$-matrix of Yangian, which was introduced by V. Drinfel'd, is received also.
A model of 3-dimensional topological quantum field theory is rigorously constructed. The results are applied to an explicit formula for deformation quantization of any finite-dimensional Lie bialgebra over the field of complex numbers. This gives an explicit construction of "quantum groups" from any Lie bialgebra, which was proven without explicit formulas in [EK].
We give a heat kernel proof of the algebraic index theorem for deformation quantization with separation of variables on a pseudo-Kahler manifold. We use normalizations of the canonical trace density of a star product and of the characteristic classes involved in the index formula for which this formula contains no extra constant factors.
We give a formula for a cocycle generating the Hochschild cohomology of the Weyl algebra with coefficients in its dual.It is given by an integral over the configuration space of ordered points on a circle. Using this formula and a non-commutative version of formal geometry, we obtain an explicit expression for the canonical trace in deformation quantization of symplectic manifolds.
In a recent paper by the authors, Lie bialgebras structures of generalized Virasoro-like type were considered. In this paper, the explicit formula of the quantization of generalized Virasoro-like algebras is presented.
We develop a new approach to deformation quantizations of Lie bialgebras and Poisson structures which goes in two steps. In the first step one associates to any Poisson (resp. Lie bialgebra) structure a so called quantizable Poisson (resp. Lie bialgebra) structure. We show explicit transcendental formulae for this correspondence. In the second step one deformation quantizes a quantizable Poisson (resp. Lie bialgebra) structure. We show again explicit transcendental formulae for this second step correspondence (as a byproduct we obtain configuration space models for biassociahedron and bipermut…
For the Kirillov-Poisson structure on the vector space $\g^*$, where $\g$ is a finite-dimensional Lie algebra, it is known at least two canonical deformations quantization of this structure: they are the M. Kontsevich universal formula [K], and the formula, arising from the classical Campbell-Baker-Hausdorff formula [Ka]. It was proved in [Ka] that the last formula is exactly the part of Kontsevich's formula consisting of all the admissible graphs without (oriented) cycles between the vertices of the first type. It follows from the CBH-theorem that this part of Kontsevich's formula defines an …
We introduce dg Lie algebras controlling the deformations of vertex algebras and vertex Poisson algebras, utilizing the notion of operadic dg Lie algebra and the theory of chiral algebra. In terms of those dg Lie algebras, we formulate the deformation quantization problem of vertex Poisson algebras to vertex algebras.
The paper exhibits a product-to-sum formula for the observables of a certain quantization of the moduli space of flat SU(2)-connections on the torus. This quantization was defined using the topological quantum field theory that was developed by Reshetikhin and Turaev from the quantum group of SL(2,C) at roots of unity. As a corollary it is shown that the algebra of quantum observables is a subalgebra of the noncommutative torus with rational rotation angle. The proof uses topological quantum field theory with corners, and is based on the description of the matrices of the observables in a cano…
The main goal of this paper is to compute the characteristic class of the Alekseev-Lachowska *-product on coadjoint orbits. We deduce an analogue of the Weyl dimension formula in the context of deformation quantization.
We relate a universal formula for the deformation quantization of arbitrary Poisson structures proposed by Maxim Kontsevich to the Campbell-Baker-Hausdorff formula. Our basic thesis is that exponentiating a suitable deformation of the Poisson structure provides a prototype for such universal formulae.
This book offers an introduction to vertex algebra based on a new approach. The new approach says that a vertex algebra is an associative algebra such that the underlying Lie algebra is a vertex Lie algebra. In particular, vertex algebras can be formulated in terms of a single multiplication and they behave like associative algebras with respect to it. Chapter 1 is the introduction. In chapter 2 we discuss many examples of vertex Lie algebras and we show that vertex Lie algebras form a full subcategory of the category of "local" Lie algebras. In chapter 3 we introduce associative, commutative,…
We give a proof of a slightly refined version of Gammelgaard's graph theoretic formula for Berezin-Toeplitz quantization on (pseudo-)Kaehler manifolds. Our proof has the merit of giving an alternative approach to Karabegov-Schlichenmaier's identification theorem. We also identify the dual Karabegov-Bordemann-Waldmann star product.
We give an explicit local formula for any formal deformation quantization, with separation of variables, on a Kähler manifold. The formula is given in terms of differential operators, parametrized by acyclic combinatorial graphs.
Universal Deformation Formulas (UDFs) for the deformation of associative algebras play a key role in deformation quantization. Here we present examples for certain classes of infinitesimals. A basic representable 2-cocycle $F$ of an associative algebra $\mathcal A$ is one for which there exist commuting derivations $D,\dots, D_n$ of $\mathcal A$ such that $F = \sum_{ij}a_{ij}D_i \smile D_j$, where the $a_{ij}$ are central elements of $\mathcal A$. When $\mathcal A$ is defined over the rationals, there is a natural definition of the exponential of such a cocycle. With this $\exp \hbar F$ define…
In this paper we quantize symplectic dynamical r-matrices over a possibly nonabelian base. The proof is based on the fact that the existence of a star-product with a nice property (called strong invariance) is sufficient for the existence of a quantization. We also classify such quantizations and prove a quantum analogue of the classical composition formula for coboundary dynamical r-matrices.
We present the method for finding of the nonlinear Poisson-Lie groups structures on the vector spaces and for their quantization. For arbitrary central extension of Lie algebra explicit formulas of quantization are proposed.
A simple iterative procedure is suggested for the deformation quantization of (irregular) Poisson brackets associated to the classical Yang-Baxter equation. The construction is shown to admit a pure algebraic reformulation giving the Universal Deformation Formula (UDF) for any triangular Lie bialgebra. A simple proof of classification theorem for inequivalent UDF's is given. As an example the explicit quantization formula is presented for the quasi-homogeneous Poisson brackets on two-plane.
Recently M. Kontsevich found a combinatorial formula defining a star-product of deformation quantization for any Poisson manifold. Kontsevich's formula has been reinterpreted physically as quantum correlation functions of a topological sigma model for open strings as well as in the context of D-branes in flat backgrounds with a Neveu-Schwarz B-field. Here the corresponding Kontsevich's formula for the dual of a Lie algebra is derived in terms of the formalism of D-branes on group manifolds. In particular we show that that formula is encoded at the two-point correlation functions of the Wess-Zu…
We prove a Riemann-Roch formula for deformation quantization of complex manifolds and its corollary, an index theorem for elliptic pairs conjectured by Schapira and Schneiders.
We give a quantum field theory interpretation of Kontsevich's deformation quantization formula for Poisson manifolds. We show that it is given by the perturbative expansion of the path integral of a simple topological bosonic open string theory. Its Batalin-Vilkovisky quantization yields a superconformal field theory. The associativity of the star product, and more generally the formality conjecture can then be understood by field theory methods. As an application, we compute the center of the deformed algebra in terms of the center of the Poisson algebra.
The aim of the note is to provide an introduction to the algebraic, geometric and quantum field theoretic ideas that lie behind the Kontsevich-Cattaneo-Felder formula for the quantization of Poisson structures. We show how the quantization formula itself naturally arises when one imposes the following two requirements to a Feynman integral: on the one side it has to reproduce the given Poisson structure as the first order term of its perturbative expansion; on the other side its three-point functions should describe an associative algebra. It is further shown how the Magri-Koszul brackets on 1…
We study quantum cluster algebras from unpunctured surfaces with arbitrary coefficients and quantization. We first give a new proof of the Laurent expansion formulas for commutative cluster algebras from unpunctured surfaces, we then give the quantum Laurent expansion formulas for the quantum cluster algebras. Particularly, this gives a combinatorial proof of the positivity for such class of quantum cluster algebras.
In a recent paper by the authors, Lie bialgebra structures on generalized Heisenberg- Virasoro algebra L are considered. In this paper, the explicit formula of the quantization on generalized Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra is presented.
We introduce a general theory of twisting algebraic structures based on actions of a bialgebra. These twists are closely related to algebraic deformations and also to the theory of quasi-triangular bialgebras. In particular, a deformation produced from a universal deformation formula (UDF) is a special case of a twist. The most familiar example of a deformation produced from a UDF is perhaps the "Moyal product" which (locally) is the canonical quantization of the algebra of functions on a symplectic manifold in the direction of the Poisson bracket. In this case, the derivations comprising the …
We present explicit universal strict deformation quantization formulae for actions of Iwasawa subgroups AN of SU(1,n). This answers a question raised by Rieffel.
Kontsevich's 1997 formula for the deformation quantization of Poisson brackets is a Feynman expansion involving volume integrals over moduli spaces of marked disks. We develop a systematic theory of integration on these moduli spaces via suitable algebras of polylogarithms, and use it to prove that Kontsevich's integrals can be expressed as integer-linear combinations of multiple zeta values. Our proof gives a concrete algorithm for calculating the integrals, which we have used to produce the first software package for the symbolic calculation of Kontsevich's formula.
