Braid group actions on derived categories of coherent sheaves

This paper gives a construction of braid group actions on the derived category of coherent sheaves on a variety $X$. The motivation for this is Kontsevich's homological mirror conjecture, together with the occurrence of certain braid group actions in symplectic geometry. One of the main results is that when $\dim X \geq 2$, our braid group actions are always faithful. Braid cobordisms, triangulated categories, and flag varieties

We argue that various braid group actions on triangulated categories should be extended to projective actions of the category of braid cobordisms and illustrate how this works in examples. We also construct actions of both the affine braid group and the braid cobordism category on the derived category of coherent sheaves on the cotangent bundle to the full flag variety.

Derived Categories of BHK Mirrors

We prove a derived analogue to the results of Borisov, Clarke, Kelly, and Shoemaker on the birationality of Berglund-Hubsch-Krawitz mirrors. Heavily bootstrapping off work of Seidel and Sheridan, we obtain Homological Mirror Symmetry for Berglund-Hubsch-Krawitz mirror pencils to hypersurfaces in projective space.

Braiding via geometric Lie algebra actions

We introduce the idea of a geometric categorical Lie algebra action on derived categories of coherent sheaves. The main result is that such an action induces an action of the braid group associated to the Lie algebra. The same proof shows that strong categorical actions in the sense of Khovanov-Lauda and Rouquier also lead to braid group actions. As an example, we construct a braid group action on derived categories of coherent sheaves on cotangent bundles to partial flag varieties.

Contractible stability spaces and faithful braid group actions

We prove that any `finite-type' component of a stability space of a triangulated category is contractible. The motivating example of such a component is the stability space of the Calabi--Yau-$N$ category $\mathcal{D}(Γ_N Q)$ associated to an ADE Dynkin quiver. In addition to showing that this is contractible we prove that the braid group $\operatorname{Br}(Q)$ acts freely upon it by spherical twists, in particular that the spherical twist group $\operatorname{Br}(Γ_N Q)$ is isomorphic to $\operatorname{Br}(Q)$. Stability conditions and the braid group

We find stability conditions ([Do], [Br]) on some derived categories of differential graded modules over a graded algebra studied in [RZ], [KS]. This category arises in both derived Fukaya categories and derived categories of coherent sheaves. This gives the first examples of stability conditions on the A-model side of mirror symmetry, where the triangulated category is not naturally the derived category of an abelian category. Homological mirror symmetry of Fermat polynomials

We discuss homological mirror symmetry of Fermat polynomials in terms of derived Morita equivalence between derived categories of coherent sheaves and Fukaya-Seidel categories (a.k.a. perfect derived categories of directed Fukaya categories), and some related aspects such as stability conditions, (kinds of) modular forms, and Hochschild homologies.
