Lieb-Robinson bounds and growth of correlations in Bose mixtures

For a mixture of interacting Bose gases initially prepared in a regime of condensation (uncorrelation), it is proved that in the course of the the time evolution observables of disjoint sets of particles of each species have correlation functions that remain asymptotically small in the total number of particles and display a controlled growth in time. This is obtained by means of ad hoc estimates of Lieb-Robinson type on the propagation of the interaction, established here for the multi-component Bose mixture.

Mean-field quantum dynamics for a mixture of Bose-Einstein condensates

We study the effective time evolution of a large quantum system consisting of a mixture of different species of identical bosons in interaction. If the system is initially prepared so as to exhibit condensation in each component, we prove that condensation persists at later times and we show quantitatively that the many-body Schrödinger dynamics is effectively described by a system of coupled cubic non-linear Schrödinger equations, one for each component.

Solitary-wave solutions in binary mixtures of Bose-Einstein condensates under periodic boundary conditions

We derive solitary-wave solutions within the mean-field approximation in quasi-one-dimensional binary mixtures of Bose-Einstein condensates under periodic boundary conditions, for the case of an effective repulsive interatomic interaction. The particular gray-bright solutions that give the global energy minima are determined. Their characteristics and the associated dispersion relation are derived. In the case of weak coupling, we diagonalize the Hamiltonian analytically to obtain the full excitation spectrum of "quantum" solitary-wave solutions.
