Using the basic prolongation method and the infinitesimal criterion of invariance, we find the most general Lie point symmetries group of the Thomas equation. Looking the adjoint representation of the obtained symmetry group on its Lie algebra, we will find the preliminary classification of its group-invariant solutions. This latter provides a new exact solutions for the Thomas equation.

Some remarks about Lie and potential symmetries of a class of Korteweg-de Vries type equations

Preliminary results about Lie and potential symmetries of a class of Korteweg-de Vries type equations are presented. Symmetries and Hamiltonian formalism for complex materials

Preliminary results toward the analysis of the Hamiltonian structure of multifield theories describing complex materials are mustered: we involve the invariance under the action of a general Lie group of the balance of substructural interactions. Poisson brackets are also introduced in the material representation to account for general material substructures. A Hamilton-Jacobi equation suitable for multifield models is presented. Finally, a spatial version of all these topics is discussed without making use of the notion of paragon setting.

Symmetries of Differential Equations via Cartan's Method of Equivalence

We formulate a method of computing invariant 1-forms and structure equations of symmetry pseudo-groups of differential equations based on Cartan's method of equivalence and the moving coframe method introduced by Fels and Olver. Our apparoach does not require a preliminary computation of infinitesimal defining systems, their analysis and integration, and uses differentiation and linear algebra operations only. We carry out an extensive investigation of conservation laws and potential symmetries for the class of linear (1+1)-dimensional second-order parabolic equations. Equivalence groupoids and group classification of multidimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equations

We study admissible and equivalence point transformations between generalized multidimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equations and classify Lie symmetries of such equations.
