Some special Kahler metrics on SL(2,C) and their holomorphic quantization

The group SU(2)*SU(2) acts naturally on SL(2,C) by simultaneous right and left multiplication. We study the Kahler metrics invariant under this action using global Kahler potentials. The volume growth and various curvature quantities are then explicitly computable. Examples include metrics of positive, negative and zero Ricci curvature, and the 1-lump metric of the CP^1-model on a sphere. We then look at the holomorphic quantization of these metrics, where some physically satisfactory results on the dimension of the Hilbert space can be obtained. These give rise to an interesting geometrical conjecture, regarding the dimension of this space for general Stein manifolds in the semi-classical limit.

Conformally Kähler surfaces and orthogonal holomorphic bisectional curvature

We show that a compact complex surface which admits a conformally Kähler metric g of positive orthogonal holomorphic bisectional curvature is biholomorphic to the complex projective plane. In addition, if g is a Hermitian metric which is Einstein, then the biholomorphism can be chosen to be an isometry via which g becomes a multiple of the Fubini-Study metric.

Holomorphic Quillen determinant line bundles on integral compact Kahler manifolds

We show that any compact Kahler manifold with integral Kahler form, parametrizes a natural holomorphic family of Cauchy-Riemann operators on the Riemann sphere such that the Quillen determinant line bundle of this family is isomorphic to a sufficiently high tensor power of the holomorphic line bundle determined by the integral Kahler form. We also establish a symplectic version of the result. We conjecture that an equivariant version of our result is true.

Bilinear forms of Kählerian twistor spinors

Generalization of twistor spinors to Kähler manifolds which are called Kählerian twistor spinors are considered. We find the differential equation satisfied by the bilinear forms of Kählerian twistor spinors. We show that the bilinear form equation reduces to Kählerian conformal Killing-Yano equation under special conditions. We also investigate the special cases of holomorphic and anti-holomorphic Kählerian twistor spinors and the bilinear forms of alternative definitions for Kählerian twistor spinors.

The $L^2$ Volume of the Space of Holomorphic Maps from Kähler Riemann Surfaces to $\mathbb{CP}^k$

We prove the conjectural formula for the $L^2$ volume of the space of degree $r$ holomorphic maps from a compact Kähler Riemann surface of genus $b$ to $\pk$. This formula was posed in \cite{Ba} and rigorously verified in \cite{Sp} for a special case using independent techniques.

Normal Coordinates in Kahler Manifolds and the Background Field Method

Riemann normal coordinates (RNC) are unsuitable for \kahler manifolds since they are not holomorphic. Instead, \kahler normal coordinates (KNC) can be defined as holomorphic coordinates. We prove that KNC transform as a holomorphic tangent vector under holomorphic coordinate transformations, and therefore that they are natural extensions of RNC to the case of \kahler manifolds. The KNC expansion provides a manifestly covariant background field method preserving the complex structure in supersymmetric nonlinear sigma models.

On the Quantization of Special Kähler Manifolds

We show how affine and projective special Kähler manifolds emerge from the structure of quantization. We quantize them and construct natural (wavefunction) representations for the corresponding coherent states. These in turn are shown to satisfy the precise generalizations of the BCOV holomorphic anomaly equation (hep-th/9309140), thus extending the work in hep-th/9306122. As a byproduct of the analysis we construct the explicit general solution to the holomorphic anomaly equation.

The probabilistic vs the quantization approach to Kähler-Einstein geometry

In the probabilistic construction of Kähler-Einstein metrics on a complex projective algebraic manifold X - involving random point processes on X - a key role is played by the partition function. In this work a new quantitative bound on the partition function is obtained. It yields, in particular, a new direct analytic proof that X admits a Kähler-Einstein metrics if it is uniformly Gibbs stable. The proof makes contact with the quantization approach to Kähler-Einstein geometry.

Noncommutative Kahler-like structures in quantization

One introduces the notion of C*-algebra with polarization which could be considered as the quantum Kahler structure. The connection of these algebras with Kostant-Souriou geometric quantization is shown. The theory of polarized C*-algebra is investigated by the use of the coherent states method.

Deformation Quantization of Nonholonomic Almost Kahler Models and Einstein Gravity

Nonholonomic distributions and adapted fame structures on (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds of even dimension are employed to build structures equivalent to almost Kahler geometry and which allows to perform a Fedosov-like quantization of gravity. The nonlinear connection formalism that was formally elaborated for Lagrange and Finsler geometry is implemented in classical and quantum Einstein gravity.

Deformation Quantization of Almost Kahler Models and Lagrange-Finsler Spaces

Finsler and Lagrange spaces can be equivalently represented as almost Kahler manifolds enabled with a metric compatible canonical distinguished connection structure generalizing the Levi Civita connection. The goal of this paper is to perform a natural Fedosov-type deformation quantization of such geometries. Quantization in singular real polarizations: Kähler regularization, Maslov correction and pairings

We study the Maslov correction to semiclassical states by using a Kähler regularized BKS pairing map from the energy representation to the Schrödinger representation. For general semiclassical states, the existence of this regularization is based on recently found families of Kähler polarizations degenerating to singular real polarizations and corresponding to special geodesic rays in the space of Kähler metrics.
