In the first part of this article we provide a geometrically oriented approach to the theory of orbispaces which originally had been introduced by Chen. We explain the notion of a vector orbibundle and characterize the good sections of a reduced vector orbibundle as the smooth stratified sections. In the second part of the article we elaborate on the quantizability of a symplectic orbispace. By adapting Fedosov's method to the orbispace setting we show that every symplectic orbispace has a deformation quantization. As a byproduct we obtain that every symplectic orbifold possesses a star produc…
We show that the averaged equation for a one-frequency fast-oscillating Hamiltonian system is the result of symplectic reduction of a certain natural system on the corresponding $S^1$-bundle with respect to the circle action. Furthermore, if the reduced configuration space happens to be a group, then under natural assumptions the averaged system turns out to be the Euler equation on a central extension of that group. This gives a new explanation of the drift, common in averaged system, as a similar shift is typically present in symplectic reductions and central extensions.
In this paper is considered a problem of defining natural star-products on symplectic manifolds, admissible for quantization of classical Hamiltonian systems. First, a construction of a star-product on a cotangent bundle to an Euclidean configuration space is given with the use of a sequence of pair-wise commuting vector fields. The connection with a covariant representation of such a star-product is also presented. Then, an extension of the construction to symplectic manifolds over flat and non-flat pseudo-Riemannian configuration spaces is discussed. Finally, a coordinate free construction o…
We introduce a natural symplectic structure on the moduli space of quadratic differentials with simple zeros and describe its Darboux coordinate systems in terms of so-called homological coordinates. We then show that this structure coincides with the canonical Poisson structure on the cotangent bundle of the moduli space of Riemann surfaces, and therefore the homological coordinates provide a new system of Darboux coordinates. We define a natural family of commuting "homological flows" on the moduli space of quadratic differentials and find the corresponding action-angle variables. The space …
We show that every Gaussian mixed quantum state can be disentangled by conjugation with a metaplectic operator associated with a symplectic rotation. The main tools we use are the Werner-Wolf condition on covariance matrices and the symplectic covariance of Weyl quantization.
We introduce poly-symplectic groupoids, which are natural extensions of symplectic groupoids to the context of poly-symplectic geometry, and define poly-Poisson structures as their infinitesimal counterparts. We present equivalent descriptions of poly-Poisson structures, including one related with AV-Dirac structures. We also discuss symmetries and reduction in the setting of poly-symplectic groupoids and poly-Poisson structures, and use our viewpoint to revisit results and develop new aspects of the theory initiated by D.Iglesias, J.C Marrero and M. Vaquero.
In this short note we point out that not every star product is induced by a Drinfel'd twist by showing that not every Poisson structure is induced by a classical $r$-matrix. Examples include the higher genus symplectic Pretzel surfaces and the symplectic sphere $\mathbb{S}^2$.
The main idea of this note is to describe the integration procedure for poly-Poisson structures, that is, to find a poly-symplectic groupoid integrating a poly-Poisson structure, in terms of topological field theories, namely via the path-space construction. This will be given in terms of the poly-Poisson sigma model $(PPSM)$ and we prove that every poly-Poisson structure has a natural integration via relational poly-symplectic groupoids, extending the results in [8] and [26]. We provide familiar examples (trivial, linear, constant and symplectic) within this formulation and we give some appli…
