We compute the leading contributions to the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of the baryon decuplet in chiral perturbation theory. The measured value for the magnetic moment of the $Ω^-$ is used to determine the local counterterm for the magnetic moments. We compare the chiral perturbation theory predictions for the magnetic moments of the decuplet with those of the baryon octet and find reasonable agreement with the predictions of the large--$N_c$ limit of QCD. The leading contribution to the quadrupole moment of the $Δ$ and other members of the decuplet comes from one--loop graphs. The pionic contribution is shown to be proportional to $I_z$ (and so will not contribute to the quadrupole moment of $I=0$ nuclei), while the contribution from kaons has both isovector and isoscalar components. The chiral logarithmic enhancement of both pion and kaon loops has a coefficient that vanishes in the $SU(6)$ limit. The third allowed moment, the magnetic octupole, is shown to be dominated by a local counterterm with corrections arising at two loops. We briefly mention the strange counterparts of these moments.
Treating perturbatively the flavor symmetry breaking effects resided in the wave function as well as in the SU(3) Lagrangian, we calculate the strange form factors of decuplet baryons. The higher dimensional representation mixing components in the baryon wave function of the deccuplet baryons are found to yield the important contributions to the strange form factors, especially of the $Δ$ and $Σ^*$ baryons. The model independent sum rules among the baryon decuplet magnetic moments are also derived.
A complete and minimal relativistic Lagrangian is constructed at next-to-leading order for SU(3) chiral perturbation theory in the presence of baryon octet and baryon decuplet states. The Lagrangian has 13 terms for the pure decuplet sector, 6 terms for the transition sector from baryon octet to decuplet and (as already known from the literature) 16 terms for the pure octet sector. The minimal field content of 25 of these terms is meson-baryon four-point interactions. 3 terms give rise to the mass splitting for baryon octet and decuplet states, respectively. 2 terms give rise to overall mass s…
The magnetic moments of baryon decuplet are studied in vacuum as well as in the symmetric nuclear matter at finite temperature using a chiral SU(3) quark mean field model approach. The contributions coming from the valence quarks, quark sea and the orbital angular momentum of the quark sea have been considered to calculate magnetic moment of decuplet baryons. The decuplet baryon masses decrease, whereas, the magnetic moments increase significantly with the rise of baryonic density of the symmetric nuclear medium. This is because of the reason that constituent quark magnetic moment and the quar…
We present a study of axial charges of baryon ground and resonant states with relativistic constituent quark models. In particular, the axial charges of octet and decuplet $N$, $Σ$, $Ξ$, $Δ$, $Σ^*$, and $Ξ^*$ baryons are considered. The theoretical predictions are compared to existing experimental data and results from other approaches, notably from lattice quantum chromodynamics and chiral perturbation theory. The relevance of axial charges with regard to $π$-dressing and spontaneous chiral-symmetry breaking is discussed.
We construct the relativistic chiral Lagrangians with decuplet baryons up to the order $\mathcal{O}(p^4)$ (one loop). For the meson-decuplet-decuplet couplings, there are 1, 13, 55, and 548 terms in the $\mathcal{O}(p^1)$-$\mathcal{O}(p^4)$ order Lagrangians, respectively. For the meson-octet-decuplet Lagrangians, the number of independent terms from $\mathcal{O}(p^1)$ to $\mathcal{O}(p^4)$ are 1, 5, 67, and 611, respectively. For convenience of applications, the $πΔΔ$ and $πNΔ$ chiral Lagrangians are picked out. This new form of $Δ$ Lagrangians is equivalent to the original isovector-isospino…
The self-energies of the full set of flavor SU(3) octet and decuplet baryons are computed within a relativistic chiral effective theory framework. The leading nonanalytic chiral behavior is derived for the octet and decuplet masses, and a finite-range regularization consistent with Lorentz and gauge invariance is applied to account for the finite size of the baryons. Using a four-dimensional dipole form factor, the relative importance of various meson-baryon loop contributions to the self-energies is studied numerically as a function of the dipole range parameter and meson mass, and comparison…
QCD sum rules for decuplet baryon two-point functions are investigated using a comprehensive Monte-Carlo based procedure. In this procedure, all uncertainties in the QCD input parameters are incorporated simultaneously, resulting in realistic estimates of the uncertainties in the extracted phenomenological parameters. Correlations between the QCD input parameters and the phenomenological parameters are studied by way of scatter plots. The predicted couplings are useful in evaluating matrix elements of decuplet baryons in the QCD sum rule approach. They are also used to check a cubic scaling la…
Magnetic moments of baryons are studied within the chiral quark soliton model with special emphasis on the decuplet of baryons. The model is used to identify all symmetry breaking terms proportional to $m_{\rm s}$. Sum rules for the magnetic moments are derived. A ``model-independent'' analysis of the symmetry breaking terms is performed and finally model calculations are presented, which show the importance of the rotational $1/N_{\rm c}$ corrections for cranking of the soliton.
Quadrupole moments of decuplet baryons and the octet-decuplet transition quadrupole moments are calculated using Morpurgo's general QCD parameterization method. Certain relations among the decuplet and the octet to decuplet transition quadrupole moments are derived. These can be used to predict the $Δ$ quadrupole moments which are difficult to measure.
We revisit the mass splittings of SU(3) baryons, taking into account the second-order effects of isospin and SU(3) flavor symmetry breakings within the framework of a chiral soliton model. The masses of the baryon decuplet turn out to be improved, compared to those with the first-order corrections. The mass of the N^* as a member of the baryon antidecuplet is obtained as M_{n^*}=1687 MeV, which is in agreement with the recent experimental data. The pion-nucleon sigma term becomes Σ_{πN}=(50.5\pm 5.4) MeV.
We study the group structure of baryon anti-decuplet containing the $Θ^+$. We derive the SU(3) mass relations among the pentaquark baryons in the anti-decuplet, when there is either no mixing or ideal mixing with the pentaquark octet, as advocated by Jaffe and Wilczek. This constitutes the Gell-Mann--Okubo mass formula for the pentaquark baryons. We also derive SU(3) symmetric Lagrangian for the interactions of the baryons in the anti-decuplet with the meson octet and the baryon octet. Our analysis for the decay widths of the anti-decuplet states suggests that the N(1710) is ruled out as a pur…
A calculation of the mass spectrum in the baryon decuplet sector is presented using the method of QCD sum rules. Sum rules are derived for states of spin-parity 3/2+- and 1/2+ using both the conventional method and a parity-projection method. The predictive ability of the sum rules is explored by a Monte-Carlo based analysis procedure in which the three phenomenological parameters (mass, coupling, threshold) are treated as free parameters and fitted simultaneously. Taken together, the results give an improved determination of the mass spectrum in this sector from the perspective of non-perturb…
The masses of the spin-3/2 baryons are calculated to next-to-next-to-leading order in heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory and partially quenched heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. The calculation is performed for three light flavors in the isospin limit. These results are necessary for extrapolating QCD and partially quenched QCD lattice calculations of the decuplet baryon masses.
We calculate decuplet contributions to the s-wave pseudoscalar meson octet-baryon scattering lengths to the third order in heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory (HB$χ$PT). Using experimental pion-nucleon and kaon-nucleon scattering lengths as inputs, we determine low-energy constants and predict other meson-baryon scattering lengths. Numerically we consider three cases: (1) the case with only baryon octet contributions; (2) with decuplet contributions and (3) in the large N_c limit. Hopefully, the analytical expressions and the predictions are helpful to future investigations of the meson-ba…
The decuplet baryons, $Δ$, $Σ^{*}$, $Ξ^{*}$ and $Ω^{-}$, are studied in nuclear matter by using the in-medium QCD sum rules. By fixing the three momentum of the particles under consideration at the rest frame of the medium, the negative energy contributions are removed. It is obtained that the parameters of the $Δ$ baryon are more affected by the medium against the $Ω^{-}$ state, containing three strange quarks, whose mass and residue do not affected by the medium, considerably. We also find the vector and scalar self energies of these baryons in nuclear matter. By the recent progresses at $\b…
The baryon octet and decuplet masses and Bethe-Salpeter vertex and wave functions are calculated in the ladder approximation to the quark exchange between a scalar or axialvector diquark and a constituent quark. These functions reflecting full Lorentz covariance are given in terms of an expansion in Gegenbauer polynomials. In the rest frame of the baryon, a complete partial wave decomposition of the Bethe-Salpeter wave function is performed. The confinement of quarks and diquarks is implemented via a parametrisation of the corresponding propagators. We also discuss some aspects of the momentum…
In chiral models with SU(3) group structure, baryon decuplet and octet magnetic moments are evaluated by constructing their sum rules to yield theoretical predictions. In these sum rules we exploit six experimentally known baryon magnetic moments. Sum rules for flavor components and strange form factors of the octet and decuplet magnetic moments and decuplet-to-octet transition magnetic moments are also investigated.
We extend an earlier study of the baryon magnetic moments in chiral perturbation theory by the explicit inclusion of the spin-3/2 decuplet resonances. We find that the corrections induced by these heavier degrees of freedom are relatively small in a covariant framework where unphysical spin-1/2 modes are removed. Consequently, implementing the leading SU(3)-breaking corrections given by both the baryon and decuplet contributions, we obtain a description of the baryon-octet magnetic moments that is better than the Coleman-Glashow relations. Finally, we discuss the uncertainties and compare betw…
We present an analysis of the lowest-lying decuplet baryon masses in the covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory with the extended-on-mass-shell scheme up to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order. In order to determine the $14$ low-energy constants, we perform a simultaneous fit of the $n_f=2+1$ lattice QCD data from the PACS-CS, QCDSF-UKQCD, and HSC Collaborations, taking finite-volume corrections into account self-consistently. We show that up to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order one can achieve a good description of the lattice QCD and experimental data. Surprisingly, we note that t…
In light of the developments of the chiral constituent quark model ($χ$CQM) in studying low energy hadronic matrix elements of the ground-state baryons, we have extended this model to investigate their transition properties. The magnetic moments of transitions from the $J^P=\frac{3}{2}^+$ decuplet to $J^P=\frac{1}{2}^+$ octet baryons have been calculated with explicit valence quark spin, sea quark spin and sea quark orbital angular momentum contributions. Since the experimental data is available for only a few transitions, we have compared our results with the results of other available models…
This work extends our previous studies of two-photon annihilation into baryon-antibaryon pairs from spin-1/2 octet to spin-3/2 decuplet baryons. Our approach is based on perturbative QCD and treats baryons as quark-diquark systems. Using the same model parameters as in our previous work, supplemented by QCD sum-rule results for decuplet baryon wave functions, we are able to give absolute predictions for decuplet baryon cross sections without introducing new parameters. We find that the $Δ^{++}$ cross section is of the same order of magnitude as the proton cross section, well within experimenta…
We discuss the strong and radiative decays of the decuplet of baryon resonances to the baryon octet in chiral perturbation theory. We comment on the implications for the polarisability of the nucleon.
The octet, decuplet and antidecuplet baryon mass spectrum as a function of the Skyrme charge e and the SU(3)_f symmetry breaking parameters is given in tabular form. We also estimate the decuplet-octet and the antidecuplet-octet mass difference. Comparison with existing literature is given.
We calculate the magnetic moments of decuplet baryons containing strange quarks within the framework of light cone QCD sum rules taking into account the SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking effects. It is obtained that magnetic moments of the neutral $\sso$ and $\xis0$ baryons are mainly determined by the SU(3) breaking terms. A comparison of our results on the magnetic moments of the decuplet baryons with the predictions of other approaches is presented.
We have systematically calculated the S-wave pseudoscalar meson and decuplet baryon scattering lengths to the third order in the small scale expansion scheme of the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. We hope the future study may test the framework and the present predictions.
We calculate baryon decuplet to octet electromagnetic transition form factors in quenched and partially quenched chiral perturbation theory. We work in the isospin limit of SU(3) flavor, up to next-to-leading order in the chiral expansion, and to leading order in the heavy baryon expansion. Our results are necessary for proper extrapolation of lattice calculations of these transitions. We also derive expressions for the case of SU(2) flavor away from the isospin limit.
We study the radiative decay into $γ$ and a baryon of the SU(3) decuplet of ten resonances that are dynamically generated from the interaction of vector mesons with baryons of the decuplet. We obtain quite different partial decay widths for the various resonances, and for different charge states of the same resonance, suggesting that the experimental investigation of these radiative decays should bring much information on the nature of these resonances.
We extend a previous analysis of the lowest-lying octet baryon masses in covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory (ChPT) by explicitly taking into account the contribution of the virtual decuplet baryons. Up to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^3$LO), the effects of these heavier degrees of freedom are systematically studied. Their effects on the light-quark mass dependence of the octet baryon masses are shown to be relatively small and can be absorbed by the available low-energy constants up to N$^3$LO. Nevertheless, a better description of the finite-volume corrections of the latt…
We present calculations of the decuplet baryon magnetic moments in the chiral quark model. As input we use parameters obtained in qualitatively accurate fits to the octet baryon magnetic moments studied previously. The values found for the magnetic moments of $Δ^{++}$ and $Ω^{-}$ are in good agreement with experiments. We finally calculate the total quark spin polarizations of the decuplet baryons and find that they are considerably smaller than what is expected from the non-relativistic quark model.
We have systematically investigated the magnetic moments and magnetic form factors of the decuplet baryons to the next-to-next-leading order in the framework of the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. Our calculation includes the contributions from both the intermediate decuplet and octet baryon states in the loops. We also calculate the charge and magnetic dipole form factors of the decuplet baryons. Our results may be useful to the chiral extrapolation of the lattice simulations of the decuplet electromagnetic properties.
We calculate electromagnetic properties of the decuplet baryons in quenched and partially quenched chiral perturbation theory. We work at next-to-leading order in the chiral expansion, leading order in the heavy baryon expansion, and obtain expressions for the magnetic moments, charge radii, and electric quadrupole moments. The quenched calculation is shown to be pathological since only quenched chiral singularities are present at this order. We present the partially quenched results for both the SU(2) and SU(3) flavor groups and use the isospin limit in the latter. These results are necessary…
We compute the octet baryon charge radii to O(1/Heavy^3) in heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. We examine the effect of including the decuplet of spin-3/2 baryons explicitly. We find that it does no t improve the level of agreement between the HBchiPT and experimental values for the Sigma^- charge radius.
The electric quadrupole moments of the decuplet baryons are calculated in the bound state approach of the Skyrme model. In this approach, all the quadrupole moments of the decuplets are found to be proportional to the third component of the baryon isospin. Contrary to the SU(3) collective model, the kaonic contribution is as important as the pionic one. The transitional quadrupole moments of the hyperons are also predicted.
We address the impact of treating the decuplet of spin-3/2 baryons as an explicit degree of freedom in the chiral expansion of the magnetic moments of the octet of spin-1/2 baryons. We carry out a complete calculation of the octet moments to O(1/\lamchic), including decuplet contributions to the chiral loops. In contrast to results of previous analyses, we find that inclusion of the decuplet preserves the convergence behavior of the chiral expansion implied by power counting arguments.
Empirical mass formulae for the baryon octet and decuplet are presented. These formulae are functions of one integer variable and charge state of the baryons. With an exception of Lambda(1116), the formulae generate masses within 0.1% of the observed masses. The formulae also generate the same electromagnetic mass splittings predicted by SU(6)model. Spin 1/2 octet resonances and its relation to the octet mass formula is described.
We have extended and applied a general QCD parameterization method to the emission of pions from baryons. We use it to calculate the strength and sign of the coupling of pions to the octet and decuplet of baryons. Certain relations between octet and decuplet couplings are pointed out.
Axial-vector transitions of decuplet to octet baryons are parametrized at low energies guided by a complete and minimal chiral Lagrangian up to next-to-leading order. It is pointed out that beyond the well-known leading-order term, there is only one contribution at next-to-leading order. This contribution is flavor symmetric. Therefore the corresponding low-energy constant can be determined in any strangeness sector. As functions of this low-energy constant, we calculate the decay widths and Dalitz distributions for the decays of decuplet baryons to octet baryons, pions, and photons and for th…
We treat baryons as bound states of scalar or axialvector diquarks and a constituent quark which interact through quark exchange. We obtain fully four-dimensional wave functions for both octet and decuplet baryons as solutions of the corresponding Bethe-Salpeter equation. Applications currently under investigation are: electromagnetic and strong form factors and strangeness production processes.
Octet and Decuplet baryons are described within the hadronized NJL model as diquark--quark states, which are bound by quark exchange. Including scalar and axial--vector diquark correlations, we project the previously obtained relativistic Faddeev equation in a Poincaré invariant fashion onto good spin, using a static approximation to the exchanged quark. The resulting equations for the spin 1/2 octet and the spin 3/2 decuplet are solved numerically.
We study the interaction of the octet of vector mesons with the decuplet of baryons using Lagrangians of the hidden gauge theory for vector interactions. The unitary amplitudes in coupled channels develop poles that can be associated with some known baryonic resonances, while there are predictions for new ones at the energy frontier of the experimental research. The work offers guidelines on how to search for these resonances.
A complete set of QCD sum rules for the magnetic moments of decuplet baryons are derived using the external field method. They are analyzed thoroughly using a Monte-Carlo based procedure. Valid sum rules are identified under the criteria of OPE convergence and ground state dominance and their predictions are obtained. The performances of these sum rules are further compared and a favorable sum rule is designated for each member. Correlations between the input and the output parameters are examined and large sensitivities to the quark condensate magnetic susceptibility $χ$ are found. Using real…
We present an effective model, which is an extension of the usual linear sigma model, that contains a low energy multiplet for every hadronic particle type. These multiplets are a scalar nonet, a pseudoscalar nonet, a vector nonet, an axialvector nonet, a baryon octet and a baryon decuplet. Tree level baryon masses and possible two body decuplet decays are calculated. The baryon masses are generated through spontaneous symmetry breaking. The calculated quantities are used to determine the model parameters through a multiparametric minimalization process, which compares the calculated physical …
Evidence for the existence of exotic, pentaquark baryons was first found in the invariant mass spectrum of a baryon-meson pair, with the baryon in the octet of flavor SU(3). Exotic pentaquarks may also decay into members of the spin-3/2 baryon decuplet. We calculate relations between decay rates of the exotic pentaquark into a baryon decuplet and an octet of pseudoscalar mesons based on SU(3) flavor symmetry, including the leading flavor symmetry breaking term. We consider all possible representations for an exotic pentaquark, namely, that it belongs to either a \bar{10}, 27, or 35 representat…
We study the decuplet baryon magnetic moments in a QCD-based quark model beyond quenched approximation. Our approach for unquenching the theory is based on the heavy baryon perturbation theory in which the axial couplings for baryon - meson and the meson-meson-photon couplings from the chiral perturbation theory are used together with the QM moment couplings. It also involves the introduction of a form factor characterizing the structure of baryons considered as composite particles. Using the parameters obtained from fitting the octet baryon magnetic moments, we predict the decuplet baryon mag…
The strong coupling constants between light vector mesons and octet-decuplet baryons are calculated in framework of the light cone QCD sum rules, taking into account SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking effects. It is shown that all strong coupling constants can be represented in terms of a single universal function. Size of the SU(3) symmetry breaking effects are estimated.
The thermal properties of the light decuplet baryons are investigated in the framework of the thermal QCD sum rules. In particular, the behavior of the mass and residue of the $Δ$, $Σ^{*}$, $Ξ^{*}$ and $Ω$ baryons with respect to temperature are analyzed taking into account the additional operators coming up in the Wilson expansion at finite temperature. It is found that the mass and residue of these particles remain overall unaffected up to $T\simeq150~MeV$ but, beyond this point, they start to diminish, considerably.
We study the isospin symmetry breaking and mass splittings of the eight lowest-lying baryons. We consider three kinds of baryon mass terms, including the bare mass term, the electromagnetic terms and the spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking terms. We include the mixing term between flavor-octet and flavor-decuplet baryons. This assumes that the lowest-lying Sigma and Xi baryons contain a few decuplet components and so are not purely flavor-octet. We achieve a good fitting that the difference between every fitted mass and its experimental value is less than 0.2 MeV.
The strong coupling constants of light pseudoscalar $π$, $K$ and $η$ mesons with decuplet--octet baryons are studied within light cone QCD sum rules, where $SU(3)_f$ symmetry breaking effects are taken into account. It is obtained that all coupling constants under the consideration are described by only one universal function even if $SU(3)_f$ symmetry breaking effects are switched into the game.
We recalculate masses and widths of anti-decuplet baryons in the case of positive parity from chiral soliton models, provided that the member $Ξ_{3/2}$ of the anti-decuplet has a mass 1.86 GeV as reported recently. Calculations show that there are no convincing candidates for the nonexotic members of the anti-decuplet available in the baryon listings. Up to the leading order of $m_s$ and 1/$N_c$, the width formula for the decay of the anti-decuplet baryons to the octet depends only on SU(3) symmetry model-independently, except the coupling constant. Similarly we give a width formula for the de…
We have systematically investigated the decuplet (T) to octet (B) baryon ($T\rightarrow Bγ$) transition magnetic moments to the next-to-next-to-leading order and electric quadruple moments to the next-to-leading order in the framework of the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. Our calculation includes the contributions from both the intermediate decuplet and octet baryon states in the loops. Our results show reasonably good convergence of the chiral expansion and agreement with the experimental data. The analytical expressions may be useful to the chiral extrapolation of the lattice simul…
We emphasize the importance of identifying non-exotic SU(3) partners of the Theta^+ pentaquark, and indicate possible ways how to do it. We also use the soliton picture of baryons to relate Reggeon couplings of various baryons. These relations are used to estimate the Theta^+ production cross section in high energy processes. We show that the corresponding cross sections are significantly suppressed relative to the production cross sections of usual baryons. Finally, we present spin non-flip form factors of the anti-decuplet baryons in the framework of the chiral quark soliton model.
We investigate the use of long distance regularization in SU(3) baryon chiral perturbation theory with decuplet fields. The one-loop decuplet contributions to the octet baryon masses, axial couplings, S-wave nonleptonic hyperon decays and magnetic moments are evaluated in a chirally consistent fashion by employing a cutoff to implement long distance regularization. The convergence of the chiral expansions of these quantities is improved compared to the dimensionally regularized version which indicates that the propagation of Goldstone bosons over distances smaller than a typical hadronic size,…
The magnetic moments of the baryon decuplet are calculated in a relativistic constituent quark model using the light-front formalism. Of particular interest are the magnetic moments of the $Ω^-$ and $Δ^{++}$ for which new recent experimental measurements are available. Our calculation for the magnetic moment ratio $μ(Δ^{++})/μ(p)$ is in excellent agreement with the experimental ratio, while our ratio $μ(Ω^-)/μ(Λ^0)$ is slightly higher than the experimental ratio.
The radiative decays of decuplet to octet baryons are analyzed within the light cone QCD sum rules framework. The electromagnetic transition form factors for these decays are calculated up to twist four accuracy for photon wave functions as well as including first order strange quark mass corrections. A comparison of our results with predictions of lattice theory and existing experimental data is presented.
The baryon axial vector current is computed at one-loop order in large-N_c baryon chiral perturbation theory, where N_c is the number of colors. Loop graphs with octet and decuplet intermediate states are systematically incorporated into the analysis and the effects of the decuplet-octet mass difference and SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking are accounted for. As expected, large-N_c cancellations between different one-loop graphs are observed as a consequence of the large-N_c spin-flavor symmetry of QCD baryons. Fitting our analytical formulas against experimental data on baryon semileptonic decay…
We apply an extension of the Weinberg compositeness condition on partial waves of $L=1$ and resonant states to determine the weight of meson-baryon component in the $Δ(1232)$ resonance and the other members of the $J^P= \frac{3}{2}^+$ baryon decuplet. We obtain an appreciable weight of $πN$ in the $Δ(1232)$ wave function, of the order of 60 \%, which looks more natural when one recalls that experiments on deep inelastic and Drell Yan give a fraction of $πN$ component of 34 \% for the nucleon. We also show that, as we go to higher energies in the members of the decuplet, the weights of meson-ba…
We calculate the parton distributions for both polarized and unpolarized octet and decuplet baryons, using the MIT bag, dressed by mesons. We show that the hyperfine interaction responsible for the $Δ- N$ and $Σ^0 - Λ$ splittings leads to large deviations from SU(3) and SU(6) predictions. For the $Λ$ we find significant polarized, non-strange parton distributions which lead to a sizable $Λ$ polarization in polarized, semi-inclusive $ep$ scattering. We also discuss the flavour symmetry violation arising from the meson-cloud associated with the chiral structure of baryons.
We study decuplet baryons from meson-baryon interactions, in particular, $Δ$ and $Ω$ baryons from P-wave $I=3/2$ $Nπ$ and $I=0$ $Ξ\bar{K}$ interactions, respectively. The interaction potentials are calculated in the HAL QCD method using 3-quark-type source operators at $m_π \approx 410~\textrm{MeV}$. We use the conventional stochastic estimation of all-to-all propagators combined with the all-mode averaging to reduce statistical fluctuations. We have found that two potentials have quite similar behaviors, suggesting that a mass difference between $Δ$ and $Ω$ comes mainly from a difference of k…
