We study the isospin violating $J/ψ\to Λ\bar Σ^0 η$ reaction, recently measured by the BESIII collaboration, by looking at the dominant terms with $\bar Σ^0$ and a pair of pseudoscalar-baryon particles that form together an SU(3) singlet and can thus couple to the $J/ψ$. Next we allow these pairs to undergo final state interaction to produce the final $ηΛ$. We find that the relevant original channels are $\bar K N$ and $K Ξ$, and the non cancelation of terms involving charged and neutral particles, because of their different masses, is responsible for the reaction. With that mechanism we find a good agreement with the three experimental mass distributions.
We have chosen the reactions $D_s^+ \to π^+ π^0 a_0(980) (f_0(980))$ investigating the isospin violating channel $D_s^+ \to π^+ π^0 f_0(980)$. The reaction was chosen because by varying the $π^0 a_0(980) (f_0(980))$ invariant mass one goes through the peak of a triangle singularity emerging from $D_s^+ \to π^+\bar K^* K$, followed by $\bar K^* \to \bar K π^0$ and the further merging of $K \bar K$ to produce the $a_0(980)$ or $f_0(980)$. We found that the amount of isospin violation had its peak precisely at the value of the $π^0 a_0(980) (f_0(980))$ invariant mass where the singularity has its…
In the paper, we construct eight color singlet-singlet type five-quark currents with distinguished isospins to study the $\bar{D}Ξ^{\prime}$, $\bar{D}Ξ_c^{*}$, $\bar{D}^{*}Ξ_c^{\prime}$ and $\bar{D}^{*}Ξ_c^{*}$ molecular states with strangeness via the QCD sum rules. Numerical results show that the central values of the pentaquark masses with higher (lower) isospin are slightly above (below) the thresholds of the corresponding meson-baryon pairs, and support assigning the $P_{cs}(4459)$ as the $\bar{D}Ξ_c^{*}$ molecular state with the quantum numbers $IJ^P=0{\frac{3}{2}}^-$. The other predicti…
We study the isospin amplitudes in the exclusive $B$ to $D^*\bar{D}K$ decay process and fit the available $D^{*0}\bar{D}^0$ invariant mass distributions near threshold. The analysis demonstrates that the production of the isospin triplet $D^*\bar{D}$ state is highly suppressed compared to the isospin singlet one. That explains why the $Z_c(3900)$ has not been found in $B$ decays. In addition, the production of the negative charge-parity state might be further suppressed in the heavy quark limit. These two reasons which are based on the molecular assumption offer the first explanation why the $…
A study of the meson-baryon interaction in the $S=-1$ sector is performed, employing a chiral SU(3) lagrangian up to next-to-leading order (NLO) and implementing unitarization in coupled channels. The model is constrained by a large set of experimental data, paying a especial attention to processes that are sensitive to the NLO contributions, such as the $K^- p\to K^+Ξ^-, K^0Ξ^0$ reactions. The consideration of additional cross sections in single isospin channels, $K^-p\to ηΛ, ηΣ$, has been found to provide more homogeneous and reliable values of the low-energy constants, the stability of whic…
In this article, we construct the color singlet-singlet type five-quark currents with the isospins $(I,I_3)=(\frac{1}{2},\frac{1}{2})$ and $(\frac{3}{2},\frac{1}{2})$ unambiguously to explore the $\bar{D}Σ_c$, $\bar{D}Σ_c^*$, $\bar{D}^*Σ_c$ and $\bar{D}^*Σ_c^*$ pentaquark states via the QCD sum rules for the first time, where the $\bar{D}$, $Σ_c$, $\cdots$ represent the color-singlet clusters having the same quantum numbers as the corresponding physical mesons or baryons. The numerical results support assigning the $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4380)$, $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ as the $\bar{D}Σ_c$, $\ba…
The $D \bar{D}^*$ interaction via a $ρ$ or $ω$ exchange is constructed within an extended hidden gauge symmetry approach, where the strange quark is replaced by the charm quark in the $SU(3)$ flavor space. With this $D \bar{D}^*$ interaction, a bound state slightly lower than the $D \bar{D}^*$ threshold is generated dynamically in the isospin zero sector by solving the Bethe-Salpeter equation in the coupled-channel approximation, which might correspond to the $X(3872)$ particle announced by many collaborations. This formulism is also used to study the $B \bar{B}^*$ interaction, and a $B \bar{B…
We perform a study of the $D_s^+ \to a_0(980)(f_0(980)) e^+ ν_e$ reactions investigating the different sources of isospin violation which make the production of the $a_0(980)$ possible. We find that loops involving kaons in the production mechanism provide a source of isospin violation since they do not cancel due to the different mass of charged and neutral kaons, but we also find that the main source comes from the breaking of isospin in the meson-meson transition $T$ matrices, which contain information on the nature of the low lying scalar mesons. The reaction is thus very sensitive to the …

The decay of $Λ_c^+$ into $π^+π^0Λ(1405)$ with the $Λ(1405)$ decay into $π^0Σ^0$ through a triangle diagram is studied. This process is initiated by $ Λ_c^+ \to π^+ \bar{K}^*N $, then the $\bar{K}^*$ decays into $\bar{K} π$ and $\bar{K} N$ produce the $Λ(1405)$ through a triangle loop containing $\bar{K}^*N\bar{K}$ which develops a singularity around $1890$ MeV. This process is prohibited by the isospin symmetry, but the decay into this channel is enhanced by the contribution of the triangle diagram, which is sensitive to the mass of the internal particles. We find a narrow peak in the $π^0Σ^0…
We present a study of the isospin-violating one-pion strong decays of single heavy tetraquarks $X_Q = X(s q \bar q \bar Q)$, $Q=c, b$, and $q=u, d$ with spin-parity $J^P = 0^+$. We assume that the tetraquarks have the configuration of a color diquark and a antidiquark. Three mechanisms of isospin violation can contribute to the decay rate: (1) mixing of the $X(s u \bar u \bar Q)$ and $X(s d \bar d \bar Q)$ tetraquark currents, (2) an explicit $m_d-m_u$ quark mass difference in the quark diagrams describing the corresponding decay transitions and (3) $π^0-η$ mixing in the final state. Our main …
We present our recent efforts to determine the matrix elements associated with the transition between the nucleon and a nucleon resonance induced by the vector current, which are necessary ingredients for models of neutrino-induced reactions in the resonance region. This is accomplished by making the comprehensive analysis of the data for various meson photo- and electro-production reactions off the nucleon within a sophisticated coupled-channels framework, which is known as the ANL-Osaka dynamical coupled-channels model. We also give a brief introduction to our project for constructing a unif…
We study the isospin symmetry breaking and mass splittings of the eight lowest-lying baryons. We consider three kinds of baryon mass terms, including the bare mass term, the electromagnetic terms and the spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking terms. We include the mixing term between flavor-octet and flavor-decuplet baryons. This assumes that the lowest-lying Sigma and Xi baryons contain a few decuplet components and so are not purely flavor-octet. We achieve a good fitting that the difference between every fitted mass and its experimental value is less than 0.2 MeV.
We perform calculations for the $\bar B_s^0 \to J/ψπ^0 f_0(980)$ and $\bar B_s^0 \to J/ψπ^0 a_0(980)$ reactions, showing that the first one is isospin-suppressed while the second one is isospin-allowed. The reaction proceeds via a triangle mechanism, with $\bar B_s^0 \to J/ψK^* \bar K +c.c.$, followed by the decay $K^* \to Kπ$ and a further fusion of $K\bar K$ into the $f_0(980)$ or $a_0(980)$. We show that the mechanism develops a singularity around the $π^0 f_0(980)$ or $π^0 a_0(980)$ invariant mass of 1420 MeV where the $π^0 f_0$ and $π^0 a_0$ decay modes are magnified and also the ratio of…
We study the Kondo effect for a $Σ_{c}$ ($Σ_{c}^{\ast}$) baryon in nuclear matter. In terms of the spin and isospin ($\mathrm{SU}(2)_{\mathrm{spin}} \times \mathrm{SU}(2)_{\mathrm{isospin}}$) symmetry, the heavy-quark spin symmetry and the S-wave interaction, we provide the general form of the Lagrangian for a $Σ_{c}$ ($Σ_{c}^{\ast}$) baryon and a nucleon. We analyze the renormalization equation at the one-loop level, and find that the coexistence of spin exchange and isospin exchange magnifies the Kondo effect in comparison with the case where the spin-exchange interaction and the isospin-exc…

The first attempt is made to provide a quantitative theoretical interpretation of the WASA-at-COSY experimental data on the basic double-pion production reactions $pn \to d π^0π^0$ and $pn \to d π^+π^-$ in the energy region $T_p =1$ - $1.3$ GeV [P. Adlarson et al., Phys. Lett. B 721, 229 (2013)]. The data are analyzed within a model based on production and decay of an intermediate $I(J^P)=0(3^+)$ dibaryon resonance $\mathcal{D}_{03}$ (denoted also as $d^*(2380)$). The observed decrease of the near-threshold enhancement (the so-called ABC effect) in the reaction $pn \to d π^+π^-$ in comparison …
Many mesons with properties incompatible with a $\bar cc$ structure have already been discovered, e.g. the $Z_c$ mesons with isospin 1. We investigate the spectrum of exotic charmonium-like mesons using lattice QCD. The focus is on $\bar cc \bar qq$ states with $J^{PC}=1^{+\pm}$ and isospin 1. This is the first study of four-quark states with these quantum numbers, a non-zero total momentum and two different lattice volumes. We extract the energy levels and determine the scattering length for $D\bar D^*$ scattering close to the threshold using Lüscher's formalism. Our preliminary results show …
We make a theoretical study of the $η(1405) \to π^{0} f_0(980)$ and $η(1405) \to π^{0} a_0(980)$ reactions with an aim to determine the isospin violation and the mixing of the $f_0(980)$ and $a_0(980)$ resonances. We make use of the chiral unitary approach where these two resonances appear as composite states of two mesons, dynamically generated by the meson-meson interaction provided by chiral Lagrangians. We obtain a very narrow shape for the $f_0(980)$ production in agreement with a BES experiment. As to the amount of isospin violation, or $f_0(980)$ and $a_0(980)$ mixing, assuming constant…
Recently we presented a successful strategy to extract the position of the two $Λ(1405)$ poles from experimental photoproduction data on the $γp \to K^+ π^0 Σ^0 $ reaction at Jefferson Lab. Following a similar strategy, we extend the previous method to incorporate also the isospin 1 component which allows us to consider in addition the experimental data on $γp \to K^+ π^\pm Σ^\mp$. The idea is based on considering a production mechanism as model independent as possible and implementing the final state interaction of the final meson-baryon pair based on small modifications of the unitary chiral…
Using the local hidden gauge approach, we study the possibility of the existence of bottomed strange molecular states with isospin 0. We find three bound states with spin-parity $0^+$, $1^+$ and $2^+$ generated by the $\bar{K}^*B^*$ and $ωB_s^*$ interaction, among which the state with spin 2 can be identified as $B_{s2}^*(5840)$. In addition, we also study the $\bar{K}^*B$ and $ωB_s$ interaction and find a bound state which can be associated to $B_{s1}(5830)$. Besides, the $\bar{K}B^*$ and $ηB_s^*$ and $\bar{K}B$ and $ηB_s$ systems are studied, and two bound states are predicted. We expect tha…
