In this research, we investigate the quantum and classical phase transitions of the Dirac particles in a homogeneously magnetized curved rotating 2+1 dimensional spacetime. We consider the intricate relationship between geometry and quantum phase events through the study of quantum electrodynamics in the rotating curved spacetime. Using methods from quantum electrodynamics and statistical mechanics, the study examines the effects of an external magnetic field, the background rotation parameter, and curvature on the characteristics of quantum and classical phase transitions, focusing on critical points and scaling behavior, and we see that as thermal fluctuations get closer to zero, quantum fluctuations begin to dominate at this system.

We study neutrino spin oscillations in background matter under the influence of strong electromagnetic and gravitational fields. The neutrino spin evolution is treated quasiclassically. We derive the effective Hamiltonian governing spin oscillations of a neutrino moving in the vicinity of a black hole and interacting with a relativistic magnetized accretion disk around a black hole. Applications for the studies of spin oscillations of astrophysical neutrinos are considered.
We study the dynamics of test particles around a magnetized Ernst black hole considering its magnetic field in the environment surrounding the black hole. We show how its magnetic field can influence the dynamics of particles and epicyclic motion around the black hole. Based on the analysis, we find that the radius of the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) for both neutral and charged test particles and epicyclic frequencies are strongly affected by the influence of the magnetic field. We also show that the ISCO radius of charged particles decreases rapidly. It turns out that the gravitati…
We present a concise derivation of geometric optics in the presence of axionic fields in a curved space-time. Whenever light can be described via geometric optics (the eikonal approximation), the only difference to the situation without axionic field is the phenomenon of achromatic birefringence. Consequently, redshift of light and distance estimates based on propagating light rays, as well as shear and magnification due to gravitational lensing are not affected by the interaction of light with an axionic field.
We study how quantum systems that propagate in the spacetime of a rotating planet are affected by the curved background. Spacetime curvature affects wavepackets of photons propagating from Earth to a satellite, and the changes in the wavepacket encode the parameters of the spacetime. This allows us to evaluate quantitatively how quantum communications are affected by the curved spacetime background of the Earth and to achieve precise measurements of Earth's Schwarzschild radius and equatorial angular velocity. We then provide a comparison with the state of the art in parameter estimation obtai…
We study the neutrino scattering off a rotating black hole with a realistic accretion disk permeated by an intrinsic magnetic field. Neutrino trajectories in curved spacetime as well as the particle spin evolution in dense matter of an accretion disk and in the magnetic field are accounted for exactly. We obtain the fluxes of outgoing ultrarelativistic neutrinos taking into account the change of the neutrino polarization owing to spin oscillations. Using the conservative value of the neutrino magnetic moment and realistic radial distributions of the matter density and the magnetic field streng…
This work is devoted to study the effects of Einstein-Æther gravity on the dynamics of magnetized particles orbiting a static, spherically symmetric and uncharged black hole immersed in an external asymptotically uniform magnetic field in both comoving and proper observers frames. The analysis is carried out by varying the free parameters $c_{13}$ and $c_{14}$ of the Einstein-Æther theory and noticing their impacts on the particle trajectories, radii of the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs), and the amount of center-of-mass energy produced as a result of the collision. The strength of t…
We study neutrinos gravitationally scattered off a rotating supermassive black hole which is surrounded by a thin accretion disk with a realistic magnetic field. Neutrinos are supposed to be Dirac particles having a nonzero magnetic moment. Neutrinos move along arbitrary trajectories, with the incoming flux being parallel to the equatorial plane. We exactly account for the influence of both gravity and the magnetic field on the neutrino motion and its spin evolution. The general statement that the helicity of an ultrarelativistic neutrino is constant in the particle scattering in an arbitrary …
In this paper, we first analyze the horizon structure of the acoustic charged black hole in curved spacetime, and then study its acoustic shadow as well as the near-horizon characteristics including the quasinormal modes (QNM) frequencies and analogue Hawking radiation. We find that the radius of the acoustic shadow for acoustic charged black hole is larger than that for Reissner-Nordström (RN) black hole, and both of them are suppressed by increasing the black hole charge because their related outer horizons become smaller. Then the QNM frequencies under scalar field perturbation and its eiko…
In many astrophysically relevant situations radiation reaction force acting upon a charge can not be neglected and the question arises about the location and stability of circular orbits in such regime. Motion of point charge with radiation reaction in flat spacetime is described by Lorenz-Dirac (LD) equation, while in curved spacetime -- by DeWitt-Brehme (DWB) equation containing the Ricci term and the tail term. We show that for the motion of elementary particles in vacuum metrics the DWB equation can be reduced to the covariant form of the LD equation which we use here. Generically, the LD …
In [M. Zych et al., Nat. Commun. 2, 505 (2011)], the authors predicted that the interferometric visibility is affected by a gravitational field in way that cannot be explained without the general relativistic notion of proper time. In this work, we take a different route and start deriving the same effect using the unitary representation of the local Lorentz transformation in the Newtonian Limit. In addition, we show that the effect on the interferometric visibility due to gravity persists in different spacetime geometries. However, the influence is not necessarily due to the notion of proper …
We investigate how pure-state Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen correlations in the internal degrees of freedom of massive particles are affected by a curved spacetime background described by extended theories of gravity. We consider models for which the corrections to the Einstein-Hilbert action are quadratic in the curvature invariants and we focus on the weak-field limit. We quantify nonlocal quantum correlations by means of the violation of the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt inequality, and show how a curved background suppresses the violation by a leading term due to general relativity and a further co…

We present GiRaFFE, the first open-source general relativistic force-free electrodynamics (GRFFE) code for dynamical, numerical-relativity generated spacetimes. GiRaFFE adopts the strategy pioneered by McKinney and modified by Paschalidis and Shapiro to convert a GR magnetohydrodynamic (GRMHD) code into a GRFFE code. In short, GiRaFFE exists as a modification of IllinoisGRMHD, a user-friendly, open-source, dynamical-spacetime GRMHD code. Both GiRaFFE and IllinoisGRMHD leverage the Einstein Toolkit's highly-scalable infrastructure to make possible large-scale simulations of magnetized plasmas i…
In this work, I study the non-linear QED effects to the Maxwell equations due to the interaction of the electromagnetic waves with an external magnetic field with arbitrary direction with respect to the direction of propagation of the electromagnetic waves. I show that in the case when the external magnetic field has a longitudinal component with respect to the electromagnetic wave direction of propagation, a longitudinal photon state is generated in a magnetized vacuum. The mixing of transverse and longitudinal photon states causes a decrease in the group velocity with respect to the velocity…
