We give the definition of $p-adic$ Hermite operator and set up the $p-adic$ spectral measure. We compare the Archimedean case with non-Archimedean case. The structure of Hermite conjugate in $C^{*}$-Algebra corresponds to three canonical structures of $p-adic$ ultrametric Banach algebra: 1. mod $p$ reduction 2. Frobenius map 3. Teichmüller lift. There is a nature connection between Galois theory and Hermite operator spectral decomposition. The Galois group $\mathrm{Gal}(\bar{\mathbb{F}}_p|\mathbb{F}_p)$ generate the $p-adic$ spectral measure. We point out some relationships with $p-adic$ quantum mechanics: 1. creation operator and annihilation operator 2. $p-adic$ uncertainty principle.
We study the structure of solutions of the one-dimensional non-linear pseudodifferential equation describing the dynamics of the $p$-adic open string for the scalar tachyon field $p^{\frac12\partial^2_t}Φ=Φ^p$. We elicit the role of real zeros of the entire function $Φ^p(z)$ and the behaviour of solutions $Φ(t)$ in the neighbourhood of these zeros. We point out that discontinuous solutions can appear if $p$ is even. We use the method of expanding the solution $Φ$ and the function $Φ^p$ in the Hermite polynomials and modified Hermite polynomials and establish a connection between the coefficien…
In this paper we revisit exceptional Hermite polynomials from the point of view of spectral theory, following the work initiated by Lance Littlejohn. Adapting a result of Deift, we provide an alternative proof of the completeness of these polynomial families. In addition, using equivalence of Hermite Wronskians we characterize the possible gap sets for the class of exceptional Hermite polynomials.
We introduce a numerical scheme for the full multi-species Boltzmann equation based on Hermite spectral method. With the proper choice of expansion centers for different species, a practical algorithm is derived to evaluate the complicated multi-species binary collision operator. New collision models are built by combining the quadratic collision model and the simple BGK collision model under the framework of the Hermite spectral method, which enables us to balance the computational cost and accuracy. Several numerical experiments are implemented to validate the dramatic efficiency of this new…
We continue investigating spectral properties of a Hermitised random matrix product, which, contrary to previous product ensembles, allows for eigenvalues on the full real line. When a GUE matrix with an external source is involved, we prove that the eigenvalues of the product form a determinantal point process and derive a double integral representation for correlation kernel. As the source changes, we observe a critical value and establish the existence of a phase transition for scaled eigenvalues at the origin. Particularly in the critical case, we obtain a new family of Pearcey-type kernel…
New orthonormal basis of eigenfunctions for the Vladimirov operator of p-adic fractional derivation is constructed. The map of p-adic numbers onto real numbers (p-adic change of variables) is considered. This map (for p=2) provides an equivalence between the constructed basis of eigenfunctions of the Vladimirov operator and the wavelet basis in L^2(R) generated from the Haar wavelet. This means that the wavelet analysis can be considered as a p-adic spectral analysis.
We establish an algorithm for a criterion of the diagonalisability of a matrix over a local field by a unitary matrix. For this sake, we define the notion of normality of a $p$-adic operator, and give several criteria for the normality. We study the relation between the normality and the reduction. In the finite dimensional case, the normality of an operator is equivalent to the diagonalisability of a matrix by a unitary matrix. Therefore we also study the relation between the diagonalisability and the reduction. For example, we show that the diagonalisation of the reduction gives a partition …
We consider the problem of the distribution of the sojourn time in a compact set $\mathbb{Z}_{p}$ in the case of a $p$-adic random walk. We rely on the results of our previous studies of the distribution of the first return time for a $p$-adic random walk and the results of Takacs on the study of the sojourn time problem for a wide class of random processes. For a $p$-adic random walk we find the mean sojourn time of the trajectory in $\mathbb{Z}_{p}$ and the asymptotics as $t\rightarrow\infty$ of arbitrary moments of the distribution of the sojourn time in $\mathbb{Z}_{p}$. We also discuss so…
We extend a randomisation method, introduced by Shiffman-Zelditch and developed by Burq-Lebeau on compact manifolds for the Laplace operator, to the case of $\mathbb{R}^d$ with the harmonic oscillator. We construct measures, thanks to probability laws which satisfy the concentration of measure property, on the support of which we prove optimal weighted Sobolev estimates on $\mathbb{R}^d$. This construction relies on accurate estimates on the spectral function in a non-compact configuration space. As an application, we show that there exists a basis of Hermite functions with good decay properti…
We consider spectral problem for a free relativistic particle in p-adic and adelic quantum mechanics. In particular, we found p-adic and adelic eigenfunctions. Within adelic approach there exist quantum states that exhibit discrete structure of spacetime at the Planck scale.
A $p$-adic Schrödinger-type operator $D^α+V_Y$ is studied. $D^α$ ($α>0$) is the operator of fractional differentiation and $V_Y=\sum_{i,j=1}^nb_{ij}<δ_{x_j}, \cdot>δ_{x_i}$ $(b_{ij}\in\mathbb{C})$ is a singular potential containing the Dirac delta functions $δ_{x}$ concentrated on points $\{x_1,...,x_n\}$ of the field of $p$-adic numbers $\mathbb{Q}_p$. It is shown that such a problem is well-posed for $α>1/2$ and the singular perturbation $V_Y$ is form-bounded for $α>1$. In the latter case, the spectral analysis of $η$-self-adjoint operator realizations of $D^α+V_Y$ in $L_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$ is …
In this paper a countable family of new compactly supported {\em non-Haar} $p$-adic wavelet bases in ${\cL}^2(\bQ_p^n)$ is constructed. We use the wavelet bases in the following applications: in the theory of $p$-adic pseudo-differential operators and equations. Namely, we study the connections between wavelet analysis and spectral analysis of $p$-adic pseudo-differential operators. A criterion for a multidimensional $p$-adic wavelet to be an eigenfunction for a pseudo-differential operator is derived. We prove that these wavelets are eigenfunctions of the fractional operator. In addition, $p$…
