We present the full O(alpha) electroweak radiative corrections to 9 Higgs boson production with the beam polarization at the International Linear Collider(ILC). The computation is performed with the help of GRACE-Loop. We compared the full O(alpha) electroweak radiative corrections with the factorized initial state radiation(ISR) effects to estimate the pure weak corrections. This reveals the pure weak corrections are not negligible and should be taken into account for the precision measurements of the Higgs boson property at the ILC experiments.
This summary discusses some of the topics which were of overarching interest at the Symposium. These included, corrections to perturbative QCD predictions; heavy quark physics; electroweak symmetry breaking; and physics of the top quark.
One of the most precise measurements of the strong coupling constant alpha_s(MZ) is obtained in the context of global analyses of precision electroweak data. This article reviews the sensitivity of different electroweak observables to alpha_s and describes the perturbative uncertainties related to missing higher orders. The complete renormalisation scale dependence for the relevant observables is calculated at next-to-next-to-leading order and a new method is presented to determine the corresponding perturbative uncertainty for measurements of alpha_s based on these observables.
We calculated the electroweak contributions to the hadronic production of a squark in association with a gluino within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Presented are complete next-to-leading order electroweak (NLO EW) corrections at O(alpha_s^2 alpha), which include real photon and real quark radiation processes. Also considered are photon induced tree level O(alpha_s alpha) contributions.
Full O(alpha) electroweak corrections for gamma-gamma-> W+W- are calculated including virtual corrections, soft and hard real photon and Z-boson emission. The corrections are quite large ranging from -2.5% at 500 GeV to -18% at 2 TeV, |cosθ^\pm| < cos(10^\circ). Contributions from real photon and Z-boson emission are important at high energies where they partly cancel large negative contribution originating from virtual bosonic corrections. Precision measurements that intend to uncover physics beyond the standard model must necessarily make use of the full standard model predictions including …
The leading hadronic effects in electroweak theory derive from vacuum polarization which are non-perturbative hadronic contributions to the running of the gauge couplings, the electromagnetic alpha_{em}(s) and the SU(2)_L coupling alpha_2(s). I will report on my recent package "alphaQED", which besides the effective fine structure constant alpha_{em}(s) also allows for a fairly precise calculation of the SU(2)_L gauge coupling alpha_2(s). I will briefly review the role, future requirements and possibilities. Applied together with the "Rhad" package by Harlander and Steinhauser, the package all…
Quantum weakdynamics (QWD) as an SU(3)_I gauge theory with the Theta vacuum term is considered to be the unification of the electroweak interaction as an SU(2)_L x U(1)_Y gauge theory. The grand unification of SU(3)_I x SU(3)_C beyond the standard model SU(3)_C x SU(2)_L x U(1)_Y is established by the group SU(3)_I. The grand unified interactions break down to weak and strong interactions at a new grand unification scale 10^{3} GeV, through dynamical spontaneous symmetry breaking (DSSB); the weak and strong coupling constants are the same, alpha_i = alpha_s ~ 0.12, at this scale. DSSB is reali…
If no light Higgs boson exist, the interaction among the gauge bosons becomes strong at high energies (~1TeV). The effects of strong electroweak symmetry breaking (SEWSB) could manifest themselves as anomalous couplings before they give rise to new physical states, thus measurement of all couplings and their possible deviation from Standard Model (SM) values could give valuable information for understanding the true nature of symmetry breaking sector. Here we present a detailed study of the measurement of quartic gauge couplings in weak boson scattering processes and a possibility for same mea…
Prospects on electroweak physics at a future International Linear Collider (ILC) are summarized, including gauge coupling measurements, top quark physics and Higgs physics.
We present the electroweak one-loop corrections to the processes e+e- -> f bar-f, f = tau, c, b, t, at energies relevant for a future linear collider. The results of two independent calculations are compared and agreement is found at a technical-precision level of ten to twelve digits.
The unitarity of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix has been well established by both direct and indirect measurements without any evidence of discrepancy. The CKM weak phase $α$ is directly measured using an isospin analysis in $B\rightarrow ππ$ and $B\to ρρ$ assuming that electroweak penguin contributions are ignorable. However, electroweak penguins are sensitive to NP, hence, it is important to experimentally estimate their effects. We determine the size of both electroweak penguin and isospin amplitudes, directly from $B\rightarrow ππ$ and $B\to ρρ$ experimental data, using in addi…
We discuss the O(alpha) electroweak radiative corrections to W boson production at the Tevatron and their effect on the W boson mass extracted by experiment. The results of a new calculation of the O(alpha) corrections are presented and compared with those of a previous calculation. We also briefly discuss the O(alpha) corrections to Z boson production at the Tevatron and two-photon radiation in W and Z events.
The QCD corrections to electroweak parameters depend on the renormalization scheme and scales used to define the top-quark mass. We analyze these dependences for the W-boson mass predicted via Delta r to O(alpha alpha_s) and O(alpha alpha_s^2) in the on-shell and MS-bar schemes. These variations provide us with a hint on the magnitude of the unknown higher-order QCD effects and contribute to the theoretical error of the prediction.
We calculate the standard model predictions for top quark pair production and decay into six fermions at a linear e+ e- collider. We include the factorizable electroweak O(alpha) corrections in the pole approximation and QED corrections due to the initial state radiation in the structure function approach. The effects of the radiative corrections on the predictions are illustrated by showing numerical results for two selected six-fermion reactions e+ e- -> b nu_mu mu+ bar{b} mu- bar{nu_mu} and e+ e- -> b nu_mu mu+ bar{b} d bar{u}.
We calculate the O(alpha_s) corrections to the Z^0-penguin and electroweak box diagrams relevant for non-leptonic Delta F = 1 decays with F = S, B. This calculation provides the complete O(alpha_w alpha_s) and O(alpha_w alpha_s sin^2 theta_w m_t^2) corrections (alpha_w = alpha/sin^2 theta_w) to the Wilson coefficients of the electroweak penguin four quark operators relevant for non-leptonic K- and B-decays. We argue that this is the dominant part of the next-next-to-leading (NNLO) contributions to these coefficients. Our results allow to reduce considerably the uncertainty due to the definitio…
We compute the electroweak (EW) contributions to squark--squark pair production processes at the LHC within the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Both tree-level EW contributions, of O(alpha_s alpha + alpha^2), and next-to-leading order (NLO) EW corrections, of O(alpha_s^2 alpha), are calculated. Depending on the flavor and chirality of the produced quarks, many interferences between EW-mediated and QCD-mediated diagrams give non-zero contributions at tree-level and NLO. We discuss the computational techniques and present an extensive numerical analysis for inclusi…
We present the full order alpha electroweak radiative corrections to the double Higgs-strahlung process e+e- --> ZHH. The computation is performed with the help of GRACE-loop. After subtraction of the initial state QED radiative corrections, we find that the genuine weak corrections in the $α$-scheme are small for Higgs masses and energies where this cross section is largest and is most likely to be studied. These corrections decrease with increasing energies attaining about $\sim -10%$ at $\sqrt{s}=1.5$TeV. The full order alpha correction on the other hand is quite large at threshold but smal…
We present the full ${\cal O}(α)$ electroweak radiative corrections to associated Higgs top pair production in $e^+e^-$ collisions. We combine these results with a new calculation of the full one-loop QCD corrections. The computation is performed with the help of {\tt GRACE-loop}. We find that the ${\cal O}(α)$ correction can be larger than the ${\cal O}(α_s)$ corrections around the peak of the cross section especially for a light Higgs mass. At threshold these corrections are swamped by the QCD corrections which are enhanced by the gluon Coulomb contribution. We have also subtracted the compl…
We compute the complete two-loop O(alpha) Wilson coefficients relevant for radiative decays of the B meson in the SM. This is a necessary step in the calculation of the O(alpha alpha_s^n ln^n m_b/M_W) corrections and improves on our previous analysis of electroweak effects in B -> X_s gamma. We describe in detail several interesting technical aspects of the calculation and include all dominant QED matrix elements. In our final result, we neglect only terms originated from the unknown O(alpha alpha_s) evolution of the Wilson coefficients and some suppressed two-loop matrix elements. Due to the …
A complete parton level analysis of lv + four jets production at the LHC is presented, including all processes at order O(alpha^6), O(alpha^4*alpha_s^2) and O(alpha^2*alpha_s^4). The infinite Higgs mass scenario, which is considered as a benchmark for strong scattering theories and is the limiting case for composite Higgs models, is confronted with the Standard Model light Higgs predictions in order to determine whether a composite Higgs signal can be detected as an excess of events in boson--boson scattering.
The evaluation of the two-loop MSSM-contributions to the electroweak precision observables M_W and s_w^eff at order(alpha_t^2), order(alpha_t alpha_b), order(alpha_b^2) is presented. These contributions enter via Delta(rho), and it is explained in detail how one can retain the true, non-vanishing value of the MSSM Higgs boson mass M_h in spite of using the gauge-less limit in the calculation. The numerical results can be sizeable, in particular for strong squark mixing. By comparing the results in the on-shell and DR-bar renormalization schemes, the remaining theoretical uncertainty is found t…
Hadronic tau decay data provides access to the light quark vector (V) and axial vector (A) spectral functions. This makes possible investigations of the dynamics of QCD at intermediate scales and improved determinations of certain QCD/Standard Model parameters. We discuss three such applications: (1) the investigation of the nature of duality violation in QCD at intermediate scales (and its relation to the determination of alpha_s); (2) the extraction of m_s from flavor-breaking differences of flavor 'ud' and 'us' data; and (3) the determination of the dimension D=6 term in the OPE for the fla…
We describe the impact of the full one-loop electroweak terms of O(alpha_s alpha_EM^3) entering the electron-positron into three-jet cross-section from sqrt(s)=M_Z to TeV scale energies. We include both factorisable and non-factorisable virtual corrections and photon bremsstrahlung. Their importance for the measurement of alpha_S from jet rates and shape variables is explained qualitatively and illustrated quantitatively, also in presence of b-tagging.
The International Linear Collider (ILC) will be able to precisely measure the electroweak couplings of the top in e+e- -> tt~. We compare the limits which can be achieved at the ILC with those which can be obtained in tt~gamma$ and tt~Z production at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
The complete electroweak O(alpha) corrections are calculated for the charged-current four-fermion production processes e+e- --> nu_tau tau+ mu- anti-nu_mu, u anti-d mu- anti-nu_mu, and u anti-d s anti-c. The calculation is performed using complex gauge-boson masses, supplemented by complex couplings to restore gauge invariance. The evaluation of the occurring one-loop tensor integrals, which include 5- and 6-point functions, requires new techniques. Explicit numerical results are presented for total cross sections in the energy range from the W-pair-production threshold region up to a scatteri…
The dominant electroweak two-loop corrections to the precision observables M_W and s_w^eff are calculated in the MSSM. They are obtained by evaluating the two-loop Yukawa contributions of O(alpha_t^2), O(alpha_t alpha_b), O(alpha_b^2) to the quantity Delta rho. The result, involving the contributions from Standard Model fermions, sfermions, Higgs bosons and higgsinos, is derived in the gauge-less limit for arbitrary values of the lightest CP-even Higgs boson mass. A thorough discussion of the parameter relations enforced by supersymmetry is given, and two different renormalization schemes are …
First numerical results of the Monte Carlo generator RACOONWW for e+e- --> WW --> 4fermions(+gamma) in the electroweak Standard Model are presented. This event generator is the first one that includes O(alpha) electroweak radiative corrections in the double-pole approximation completely. We briefly describe the strategy of the calculation and give numerical results for total cross sections, including CC03, and various distributions.
The cross-section for W^+W^- \to W^+W^- with arbitrarily polarized W bosons is calculated within the Electroweak Standard Model including the complete virtual and soft-photonic O(alpha) corrections. We show the numerical importance of the radiative corrections for the dominating polarized cross-sections and for the unpolarized cross-section. The numerical accuracy of the equivalence theorem is investigated in O(alpha) by comparing the cross-section for purely longitudinal W bosons obtained from the equivalence theorem and from the direct calculation. We point out that the instability of the W …
The cross-section for ZZ->ZZ with arbitrarily polarized Z bosons is calculated within the electroweak Standard Model including the complete O(alpha) corrections. We show the numerical importance of the radiative corrections and elaborate its characteristic features. The treatment of the Higgs-boson resonance is discussed in different schemes including the S-matrix-motivated pole scheme and the background-field method. The numerical accuracy of the equivalence theorem is investigated by comparing the cross-sections for purely longitudinal Z bosons obtained from the equivalence theorem and from …
We discuss the complete virtual and soft-photonic O(alpha) corrections to AA -> W+W- within the electroweak Standard Model for arbitrary polarized photons. In the on-shell renormalization scheme for fixed M_W no leading corrections associated with the running of alpha or heavy top-quark and Higgs-boson masses occur. The corrections turn out to be of the order of 10%, but can become much larger where the lowest-order cross-sections are suppressed.
In this paper I review the calculations (and partially simulations and theoretical studies) that have been made and published during the last two to three years focusing on the electroweak symmetry breaking sector and the Higgs boson(s) within the Standard Model and models beyond the Standard Model (BSM) at or relevant for either the International Linear Collider (ILC) or the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC), commonly abbreviated as Linear Collider (LC).
We have calculated the complete electroweak O(alpha) radiative corrections to the Higgs-boson production process e+ e- -> t anti-t H in the electroweak Standard Model. Initial-state radiation beyond O(alpha) is included in the structure-function approach. The calculation of the corrections is briefly described, and numerical results are presented for the total cross section. Both the photonic and the genuine weak corrections reach the order of about 10% or even more and show a non-trivial dependence on the Higgs-boson mass and on the scattering energy. We compare our results with two previous …
A dark Z is a massive Abelian gauge boson which is coupled to the Standard Model through both kinetic and mass mixing with the electroweak sector. We study the phenomenology of the dark Z at an energy-frontier electron-positron collider, such as the proposed International Linear Collider (ILC). We show that precision electroweak constraints and the current bounds from the hadron colliders allow a dark Z that is kinematically accessible at the ILC with 250 GeV or 500 GeV center-of-mass energy. Further, the reach of the ILC searches for a dark Z significantly exceeds the expected reach of the hi…
The Georgi-Machacek (GM) model is one of many Beyond Standard Model scenarios with an extended scalar sector which can group under the custodial $\rm SU(2)_C$ symmetry into a fiveplet, a triplet, and two singlets. The heavy charged custodial fiveplet Higgs $\rm H_5^{\pm}$ are typical particles in GM model which couple to the electroweak gauge bosons, therefore provide a good testing ground for the detection of the $\rm H^\pm W^\mp Z$ vertex. The neutral custodial fiveplet Higgs $\rm H_5^{0}$ in the GM model has the same mass with $\rm H_5^{\pm}$ and couples to the electroweak gauge bosons $\rm…
The next-generation high-energy facilities, the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the prospective $e^+e^-$ International Linear Collider (ILC), are expected to unravel new structures of matter and forces from the electroweak scale to the TeV scale. In this report we review the complementary role of LHC and ILC in drawing a comprehensive and high-precision picture of the mechanism breaking the electroweak symmetries and generating mass, and the unification of forces in the frame of supersymmetry.
Aspects of theoretical electroweak physics are summarized, including the status of electroweak radiative corrections, the hadronic contribution to the running of alpha, global fits to precision data and their implication for testing the standard model and constraining new physics, and electroweak baryogenesis.
A previous calculation of electroweak O(alpha) corrections to deep-inelastic neutrino scattering, as e.g. measured by NuTeV and NOMAD, is supplemented by higher-order effects. In detail, we take into account universal two-loop effects from Δαand Δρas well as higher-order final-state photon radiation off muons in the structure function approach. Moreover, we make use of the recently released O(alpha)-improved parton distributions MRST2004QED and identify the relevant QED factorization scheme, which is DIS like. As a technical byproduct, we describe slicing and subtraction techniques for an effi…
Using computer-algebraic methods we derive compact analytical expressions for the virtual electroweak radiative corrections to polarized Compton scattering. Moreover the helicity amplitudes for double Compton scattering, which prove to be extremely simple in terms of Weyl-van der Waerden spinor products, are presented for massless electrons. The inclusion of a finite electron mass is described, too. Finally numerical results both for the purely photonic and the full O(alpha) electroweak corrections, which turn out to be of the order of 5-10%, are discussed for energies ranging from 10GeV to 2T…
Inspired by recent claims for a varying fine structure constant, alpha, we investigate the effect of ``promoting coupling constants to variables'' upon various parameters of the standard model. We first consider a toy model: Proca's theory of the massive photon. We then explore the electroweak theory with one and two dilaton fields. We find that a varying alpha unavoidably implies varying W and Z masses. This follows from gauge invariance, and is to be contrasted with Proca' theory. For the two dilaton theory the Weinberg angle is also variable, but Fermi's constant and the tree level fermion …
[Talk presented at the International Seminar Quarks `92, Zvenigorod, Russia, May 11-17, 1992.] The electroweak vacuum need not be absolutely stable. For certain top and Higgs masses in the Minimal Standard Model, it is instead metastable with a lifetime exceeding the present age of the Universe. The decay of our vacuum may be nucleated at low temperature by quantum tunneling or at high temperature in the early Universe by thermal excitation. I briefly review the constraints on top and Higgs masses from requiring that the electroweak vacuum be sufficiently stable to have survived to the present…
Some of the most interesting Higgs-production processes at future e+ e- colliders are of the type e+ e- -> f anti-f H. We present a calculation of the complete O(alpha) corrections to these processes in the Standard Model for final-state neutrinos and top quarks. Initial-state radiation beyond O(alpha) at the leading-logarithmic level as well as QCD corrections are also included. The electroweak corrections turn out to be sizable and reach the order of +/-10% and will thus be an important part of precise theoretical predictions for future e+ e- colliders.
Some aspects of electroweak physics at the International Linear Collider (ILC) are reviewed. The importance of precision measurements in the Higgs sector and in top-quark physics is emphasized, and the physics potential of the GigaZ option of the ILC is discussed. It is shown in particular that even in a scenario where the states of new physics are so heavy that they would be outside of the reach of the LHC and the first phase of the ILC, the GigaZ precision on the effective weak mixing angle may nevertheless allow the detection of quantum effects of new physics.
The leading electroweak MSSM two-loop corrections to the $ρ$-parameter are calculated. They are obtained by evaluating the two-loop self-energies of the Z and the W boson at O(Gf^2 m_t^4) in the limit of heavy scalar quarks. A very compact expression is derived, depending on the ratio of the CP-odd Higgs boson mass, M_A, and the top quark mass, m_t. Expressions for the limiting cases M_A >> m_t and M_A << m_t are also given. The decoupling of the non-SM contribution in the limit M_A -> oo is verified at the two-loop level. The numerical effect of the leading electroweak MSSM two-loop correctio…
We describe a calculation of the O(alpha_s^2) QCD corrections to the fully differential cross section for W and Z boson production in hadronic collisions. The result is fully realistic in that it includes spin correlations, finite width effects, gamma-Z interference and allows for the application of arbitrary cuts on the leptonic decay products of the W and Z. We have implemented this calculation into a numerical program. We demonstrate the use of this code by presenting phenomenological results for several future LHC analyses and recent Tevatron measurements, including the W cross section in …
We present some results of a new calculation of the O(alpha) electroweak radiative corrections to W boson production at hadron colliders with special emphasis on the transverse mass distribution.
We analytically calculate the dominant two-loop electroweak correction, of O(G_F^2 m_t^4), to the partial width of the decay of a Higgs boson, with mass M_H << m_t, into a bottom-quark pair, and describe the most important conceptual and technical details of our calculation. As a by-product of our analysis, we also recover the O(alpha_s G_F m_t^2) correction. Relative to the Born result, the O(G_F^2 m_t^4) correction turns out to be approximately +0.047% and, thus, more than compensates the O(alpha_s G_F m_t^2) one, which amounts to approximately -0.022%.

We present a complete calculation of the electroweak O(alpha^3 alpha_s) corrections to three-jet production and related event-shape observables at electron--positron colliders. The Z-boson resonance is described within the complex-mass scheme, rendering the calculation valid both in the resonance and off-shell regions. Higher-order initial-state radiation is included in the leading-logarithmic approximation. We properly account for the corrections to the total hadronic cross section and for the experimental photon isolation criteria. To this end we implement contributions of the quark-to-photo…
The full $\mathcal{O}(α)$ electroweak radiative corrections to $t \bar{t} γ$ and $e^-e^+γ$ productions at the International Linear Collider (ILC) are presented in this paper. The computation is performed with the help of GRACE-Loop system. In the physical results, we discuss on the cross section, electroweak corrections, and the top quark forward-backward asymmetry ($A_{FB}$) which are the function of the center-of-mass energy.
Electroweak Sudakov corrections of the form alpha^n log^m s/M_{W,Z}^2 are summed using renormalization group evolution in soft-collinear effective theory (SCET). Results are given for the scalar, vector and tensor form-factors for fermion and scalar particles. The formalism for including massive gauge bosons in SCET is developed.
Recent progress in calculating O(alpha) electroweak corrections to W+W- pair production in photon-photon collisions is reviewed. The potential of the Photon Linear Collider to study anomalous W couplings is discussed.
We have calculated the complete electroweak O(alpha) radiative corrections to the single Higgs-boson production processes e+ e- --> nu_l anti-nu_l H (l=e,mu,tau) in the electroweak Standard Model. Initial-state radiation beyond O(alpha) is included in the structure-function approach. The calculation of the corrections is briefly described, and numerical results are presented for the total cross section. In the G_mu scheme, the bulk of the corrections is due to initial-state radiation, which affects the cross section at the level of -7% at high energies and even more in the ZH threshold region.…
The electroweak contributions to the forward-backward asymmetry in the production of top-quark pairs at the Tevatron are evaluated at O(alpha^2) and O(alpha*alphas^2). We perform a detailed analysis of all partonic channels that produce an asymmetry and combine them with the QCD contributions. They provide a non-negligible fraction of the QCD-induced asymmetry with the same overall sign, thus enlarging the Standard Model prediction and diminishing the observed deviation. For the observed mass-dependent forward-backward asymmetry a 3-sigma deviation still remains at an invariant-mass cut of M_(…
The high accuracy envisaged for future measurements of W-boson production at hadron colliders has to be matched by precise theoretical predictions. We study the impact of electroweak radiative corrections on W-boson production cross sections and differential distributions at the Tevatron and at the LHC. In particular, we include photon-induced processes, which contribute at O(alpha), and leading radiative corrections beyond O(alpha) in the high-energy Sudakov regime and from multi-photon final-state radiation. We furthermore present the calculation of the complete supersymmetric next-to-leadin…
Higgs-boson production in association with bottom quarks is an important discovery channel for supersymmetric Higgs particles at hadron colliders for large values of tan(beta). We present the complete O(alpha) electroweak and O(alpha_s) strong corrections to associated bottom-Higgs production through bb fusion in the MSSM and improve this next-to-leading-order prediction by known two-loop contributions to the Higgs self-energies, as provided by the program FeynHiggs. Choosing proper renormalization and input-parameter schemes, the bulk of the corrections (in particular the leading terms for ta…
We argue that, within a broad class of extensions of the Standard Model, there is a tight corellation between the dynamics of the electroweak phase transition and the cubic self-coupling of the Higgs boson: Models which exhibit a strong first-order EWPT predict a large deviation of the Higgs self-coupling from the Standard Model prediction, as long as no accidental cancellations occur. Order-one deviations are typical. This shift would be observable at the Large Hadron Collider if the proposed luminosity or energy upgrades are realized, as well as at a future electron-positron collider such as…
Recent CDF and D0 measurements of the top quark forward-backward asymmetry at the Tevatron present deviations between 1-sigma and 2-sigma from QCD predictions and a cut M_inv > 450 GeV on the events increases this deviation to 3.4 sigma in the CDF measurement. The inclusion of electroweak contributions of order alpha^2 and order alpha alphas^2 enlarges the theoretical prediction from QCD by a factor ~ 1.2 and diminishes the observed deviations. The calculation method is shortly discussed and numerical results are compared to the experimental data.
We present a calculation of the complete electroweak O(alpha) corrections to pp/ppbar -> W+/- -> l+/- nu (l=e, mu) in the Standard Model of electroweak interactions, focusing on those corrections which do not contribute in the pole approximation. We study in detail the effect of these corrections on the transverse mass distribution, the W-width measurement, and the transverse mass ratio and cross section ratio of W and Z bosons.
We calculate the complete O(alpha) electroweak radiative corrections to e+e- --> WW --> 4f in the electroweak Standard Model in the double-pole approximation. We give analytical results for the non-factorizable virtual corrections and express the factorizable virtual corrections in terms of the known corrections to on-shell W-pair production and W decay. The calculation of the bremsstrahlung corrections, i.e. the processes e+e- --> 4f+gamma in lowest order, is based on the full matrix elements. The matching of soft and collinear singularities between virtual and real corrections is done altern…
A concise review about the status of the calculation of radiative corrections to the Drell-Yan processes is presented. The effect of matching together exact electroweak O(alpha) corrections with higher-order QED effects due to multiple photon emission is displayed in some physical distributions in the charged current channel, which have obtained with the new version of the event generator HORACE.
In this note we calculate the form of electroweak corrections in deconstructed Higgsless models for the case of a fermion whose weak properties arise from two adjacent SU(2) groups on the deconstructed lattice. We show that, as recently proposed in the continuum, it is possible for the value of the electroweak parameter alpha S to be small in such a model. In addition, by working in the deconstructed limit, we may directly evaluate the size of off-Z-pole electroweak corrections arising from the exchange of Kaluza-Klein modes; this has not been studied in the continuum. The size of these correc…
