Some aspects of electroweak physics at the International Linear Collider (ILC) are reviewed. The importance of precision measurements in the Higgs sector and in top-quark physics is emphasized, and the physics potential of the GigaZ option of the ILC is discussed. It is shown in particular that even in a scenario where the states of new physics are so heavy that they would be outside of the reach of the LHC and the first phase of the ILC, the GigaZ precision on the effective weak mixing angle may nevertheless allow the detection of quantum effects of new physics.
Precise measurements of the interactions of electroweak vector bosons at the ILC yield information about the physics of electroweak symmetry breaking. In order to combine this with the possible observation of new resonances or the effects of new strong interactions at the LHC, we need to relate resonance parameters with low-energy observables. We derive these relations for a generic setup and draw conclusions about the new-physics reach of the ILC in the electroweak sector.
Future high precision electroweak measurements require understanding of Standard Model expectations to multi-loop accuracy, both, for the predictions of production cross-sections of signal and background, as well as for pseudo-observables. I review recent results from precision calculations and summarize projections and implications for the Tevatron, the LHC, CEBAF, and the ILC.
We derive the high energy asymptotic behavior of gauge boson production cross section in a spontaneously broken SU(2) gauge theory in the next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic approximation. On the basis of this result we obtain the logarithmically enhanced two-loop electroweak corrections to the differential cross section of W-pair production at ILC/CLIC up to the second power of the large logarithm.
We calculate the electroweak and QCD corrections to W-W+ -> tt and ZZ -> tt. We also consider the interplay of these corrections with the effect of anomalous interactions that affect the massive weak bosons and the top. The results at the VV level fusion are convoluted with the help of the effective vector boson approximation to give predictions for a high energy e+e- collider.
In this paper, we present the precision predictions for three photon production in the standard model (SM) at the ILC including the full next-to-leading (NLO) electroweak (EW) corrections, high order initial state radiation (h.o.ISR) contributions and beamstrahlung effects. We present the LO and the NLO EW+h.o.ISR+beamstrahlung corrected total cross sections for various colliding energy when $\sqrt s \ge 200 {\rm GeV}$ and the kinematic distributions of final photons with $\sqrt s = 500 {\rm GeV}$ at ILC, and find that the NLO EW corrections, the h.o.ISR contributions and the beamstrahlung eff…
The full $\mathcal{O}(α)$ electroweak radiative corrections to $t \bar{t} γ$ and $e^-e^+γ$ productions at the International Linear Collider (ILC) are presented in this paper. The computation is performed with the help of GRACE-Loop system. In the physical results, we discuss on the cross section, electroweak corrections, and the top quark forward-backward asymmetry ($A_{FB}$) which are the function of the center-of-mass energy.
By using the GRACE-Loop system, we calculate the full $\mathcal{O}(α)$ electroweak radiative corrections to the process $e^+e^- \rightarrow e^+e^- γ$, which is important for future investigations at the International Linear Collider (ILC). With the GRACE-Loop system, the calculations are checked numerically by three consistency tests: ultraviolet finiteness, infrared finiteness, and gauge-parameter independence. The results show good numerical stability when quadruple precision is used. In the phenomenological results, we find that the electroweak corrections to the total cross section range f…
We study the complete ${\cal O}(α_{ew})$ electroweak (EW) corrections to the production of three $Z^0$-bosons in the the framework of the standard model(SM) at the ILC. The leading order and the EW next-to-leading order corrected cross sections are presented, and their dependence on the colliding energy $\sqrt{s}$ and Higgs-boson mass $m_{H}$ is analyzed. We investigate also the LO and one-loop EW corrected distributions of the transverse momentum of final $Z^0$ boson, and the invariant mass of $Z^0Z^0$-pair. Our numerical results show that the EW one-loop correction generally suppresses the t…
The future of high-precision electroweak physics lies in e+e- collider measurements of properties of the Z boson, the W boson, the Higgs boson, and the top quark. We estimate the expected performance of three possible future colliders: the ILC, FCC-ee (formerly known as TLEP), and CEPC. In particular, we present the first estimates of the possible reach of CEPC, China's proposed Circular Electron-Positron Collider, for the oblique parameters S and T and for seven-parameter fits of Higgs couplings. These results allow the physics potential for CEPC to be compared with that of the ILC and FCC-ee…
We review the ILC capabilities to explore the electroweak (EW) sector of the SM at high precision and the prospects of unveiling signals of BSM physics, either through the presence of new particles in higher-order corrections or via direct production of extra EW gauge bosons. This includes electroweak precision observables, global fits to the SM Higgs boson mass as well as triple and quartic gauge boson couplings.
We investigate the potential of the ILC for measuring anomalous quartic gauge couplings, both in production of three electroweak gauge bosons as well as in vector boson scattering. Any new physics that could possibly couple to the electroweak gauge bosons is classified according to its spin and isospin quantum numbers and parameterized in terms of resonance parameters like masses, widths, magnetic moment form factors etc. By a maximum log-likelihood fit, the discovery reach of a 1 TeV ILC for scalar, vector and tensor resonances is examined.
We calculate the full one-loop electroweak corrections to tri-boson production (ZZZ and WWZ) at the ILC. This is important to understand the Standard Model (SM) gauge quartic couplings which can be a window on the mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking. We find that even after subtracting the leading QED corrections, the electroweak corrections can still be large especially as the energy increases.
The International Linear Collider (ILC) will be able to precisely measure the electroweak couplings of the top in e+e- -> tt~. We compare the limits which can be achieved at the ILC with those which can be obtained in tt~gamma$ and tt~Z production at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
For the search for electroweak particles in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) as well as for future precision analyses of these particles an accurate knowledge of their production and decay properties is mandatory. We review the evaluation of the cross sections for the chargino, neutralino and scalar lepton production at e+e- colliders in the MSSM with complex parameters (cMSSM). The evaluation is based on a full one-loop calculation of the various production mechanisms, including soft and hard photon radiation. The dependence of the chargino/neutralino/slepton cross sections on…
Two next-generation high-energy experiments, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the $e^+e^-$ International Linear Collider (ILC), are highly expected to unravel the new structure of matter and forces from the electroweak scale to the TeV scale. In this talk we give a compelling but rather descriptive review of the complementary role of LHC and ILC in drawing a comprehensive and high precision picture of the mechanism breaking the electroweak symmetries and generating mass, the unification of forces and the structure of spacetime. Supersymmetry is exploited in this description as a prototype s…
The precise investigation of the $W^+ W^-Z^0$ production at the $e^+e^-$ International Linear Collider(ILC) is of crucial importance in probing the couplings between massive vector gauge bosons and discovering the signature of new physics beyond the standard model(SM). We study the full one-loop EW effects on the observables, such as, the total cross section, the differential cross section of the invariant mass of $W$-pair, the distribution of the angle between $W$-pair, the production angle distributions of $W$- and $Z^0$-boson, the distributions of the transverse momenta of final $W$- and $Z…
We present the full O(alpha) electroweak radiative corrections to 9 Higgs boson production with the beam polarization at the International Linear Collider(ILC). The computation is performed with the help of GRACE-Loop. We compared the full O(alpha) electroweak radiative corrections with the factorized initial state radiation(ISR) effects to estimate the pure weak corrections. This reveals the pure weak corrections are not negligible and should be taken into account for the precision measurements of the Higgs boson property at the ILC experiments.
We present a study of the sensitivity of an International Linear Collider (ILC) to electroweak parameters in the absence of a light Higgs boson. In particular, we consider those parameters that have been inaccessible at previous colliders, quartic gauge couplings. Within a generic effective-field theory context we analyze all processes that contain quasi-elastic weak-boson scattering, using complete six-fermion matrix elements in unweighted event samples, fast simulation of the ILC detector, and a multidimensional parameter fit of the set of anomalous couplings. The analysis does not rely on s…
Precise predictions for an $e^+e^-\rightarrow t\bar{t}$ cross section are presented at an energy region from 400 GeV to 800 GeV. Cross sections are estimated including the beam-polarization effects with full $\mathcal{O}(α)$, and also with effects of the initial-state photon emission. A radiator technique is used for the initial-state photon emission up to two-loop order. A weak correction is defined as the full electroweak corrections without the initial-state photonic corrections. As a result, it is obtained that the total cross section of a top quark pair-production receives the weak correc…
For a long time, global fits of the electroweak sector of the Standard Model (SM) have been used to exploit measurements of electroweak precision observables at lepton colliders (LEP, SLC), together with measurements at hadron colliders (Tevatron, LHC), and accurate theoretical predictions at multi-loop level, to constrain free parameters of the SM, such as the Higgs and top masses. Today, all fundamental SM parameters entering these fits are experimentally determined, including information on the Higgs couplings, and the global fits are used as powerful tools to assess the validity of the the…
Precision measurements, now and at a future linear electron-positron collider (ILC), can provide indirect information about the possible scale of supersymmetry. Performing a chi^2 analysis, we illustrate the present-day and possible future ILC sensitivities within the constrained minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (CMSSM), varying the parameters so as to obtain the cold dark matter density allowed by WMAP and other cosmological data. The current data are in very good agreement with the CMSSM prediction for tan beta = 10, with a clear preference for relatively small values o…
Experiments in the energy range from the scale of electroweak symmetry breaking to the TeV scale are expected to be crucial for unraveling the microscopic structure of matter and forces. The high precision which should be achieved in experiments at lepton colliders, is a necessary ingredient for providing a comprehensive picture of the mechanism breaking the electroweak symmetries and generating mass, the unification of forces, involving most likely supersymmetry, and the structure of space-time at small distances. In addition, clarifying the nature of the particles which build up cold dark ma…
The large top quark mass suggests that the top plays a pivotal role in Electroweak symmetry-breaking dynamics and, as a result, may have modified couplings to Electroweak bosons. Hadron colliders can provide measurements of these couplings at the ~10% level, and one of the early expected triumphs of the International Linear Collider is to reduce these uncertainties to the per cent level. In this article, we propose the first direct measurement of the Standard Model W-t-b coupling at the ILC, from measurements of t tbar-like signals below the t tbar production threshold. We estimate that the IL…
Higgs cubic coupling plays a crucial role to probe an origin of electroweak symmetry breaking. It is expected that the cubic coupling is measured by Higgs pair production at the LHC and ILC, and the deviations from the standard model can be extracted from the Higgs pair production process, and those can give us a hint of new physics beyond the standard model. We consider a general potential that achieves the suitable electroweak symmetry breaking. As one of the interesting models, we suggest a non-perturbative Higgs model in which a run-away type of potential is used. In the model, the cross s…
Prospects on electroweak physics at a future International Linear Collider (ILC) are summarized, including gauge coupling measurements, top quark physics and Higgs physics.
We provide and discuss the precision predictions for the $W^+W^-γ$ production at the ILC including the full electroweak (EW) one-loop corrections and high order initial state radiation (ISR) contributions in the Standard Model. The dependence of the leading order (LO) and EW corrected cross sections on the colliding energy is investigated. We find that the EW correction suppresses the LO cross section significantly, and the ISR effect beyond ${\cal O}(α)$ is important near the threshold, but is negligible in the high energy region. We provide the LO and EW corrected distributions of the transv…
Precise measurements of electroweak processes at the International Linear Collider (ILC) will provide unique opportunities to explore new physics beyond the Standard Model. Fermion pair production events are sensitive to new interactions involving a new heavy gauge boson or an electroweak interacting massive particle (EWIMP).We studied the mass reach of new particles at the ILC with $\sqrt{s}=250$ GeV by using $e^+ e^-\to e^+ e^-$and $e^+ e^-\to μ^+ μ^-$ events. We show that a mass reach for BSM particles can be determined with 90% confidence level using a toy Monte Carlo technique.
The precision measurements of Higgs boson observables will be critical in the interpretation of the dynamics responsible for electroweak symmetry breaking. The capabilities of the ILC and CLIC for precision Higgs studies are well documented. In this talk, a theoretical framework is presented for interpreting phenomena that can arise in the two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM). By imposing no constraints on the most general set of 2HDM parameters, the resulting formalism correctly identifies the physical 2HDM observables, which can be determined by model-independent experimental analyses.
A U(1)' or Z' is generic in many scenarios of physics beyond the Standard Model, such as string theory compactifications, GUTs, extra-dimensions, compositeness, dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking, dark-sector models, etc. We study the potential of probing a TeV-scale Z' with electroweak couplings in future experiments. In particular, we focus on two scenarios: (1) If a Z' is discovered at the LHC, what is the potential of measuring its mass and width and to distinguish between benchmark models utilizing various observables, especially asymmetries, at a high luminosity LHC and the ILC. (2)…
Testing the idea of naturalness is and will continue to be one of the most important goals of high energy physics experiments. It will play a central role in the physics program of future colliders. In this paper, we present projections of the reach of natural SUSY at future lepton colliders: CEPC, FCC-ee and ILC. We focus on the observables which give the strongest reach, the electroweak precision observables (for left-handed stops), and Higgs to gluon and photon decay rates (for both left- and right-handed stops). There is a "blind spot" when the stop mixing parameter Xt is approximately equ…
One of the main purposes on physics at the International Linear Collider (ILC) is to study the property of dark matter such as its mass, spin, and interactions between the dark matter and particles in the standard model. Among those, the interaction between dark matter and higgs boson is important, because, if the dark matter is a weakly interacting massive particle, the existence of the dark matter is expected to relate to physics of electroweak symmetry breaking. In addition, the interaction plays an important role at direct detection experiments of dark matter. In this report, we discuss ho…
The littlest Higgs model is the most economical one among various little Higgs models. In the context of the littlest Higgs model, we study the process $e^{+}e^{-}\to e^{+}e^{-}H$ at the ILC and calculate the correction of the littlest Higgs model to the cross section of this process. The results show that, in the favorable parameter spaces preferred by the electroweak precision data, the value of the relative correction is in the range from a few percent to tens percent. In most case, the correction is large enough to reach the measurement precision of the ILC. Therefore, the correction of th…
Most supersymmetric models predict new particles within the reach of the next generation of colliders. For an understanding of the model structure and the mechanism(s) of electroweak symmetry breaking, it is important to know the masses of the new particles precisely. The measurement of the mass of the scalar partner of the top quark (stop) at an e+e- collider is studied. A relatively light stop is motivated by attempts to explain electroweak baryogenesis and can play an important role in dark matter annihilation. A method is presented which makes use of cross-section measurements near the pai…
A dark Z is a massive Abelian gauge boson which is coupled to the Standard Model through both kinetic and mass mixing with the electroweak sector. We study the phenomenology of the dark Z at an energy-frontier electron-positron collider, such as the proposed International Linear Collider (ILC). We show that precision electroweak constraints and the current bounds from the hadron colliders allow a dark Z that is kinematically accessible at the ILC with 250 GeV or 500 GeV center-of-mass energy. Further, the reach of the ILC searches for a dark Z significantly exceeds the expected reach of the hi…
In the event that the Higgs mass is large or that the electroweak interactions are strongly interacting at high energy, top quark couplings to longitudinal components of the weak gauge bosons could offer important clues to the underlying dynamics. It has been suggested that precision measurements of W_L W_L to t tbar and Z_L Z_L to t tbar might provide hints of new physics. In this paper we present results of O(alpha_s) QCD corrections to V_LV_L to t tbar scattering at the ILC. We find that corrections to cross sections can be as large as 30% and must be accounted for in any precision measurem…
Measurement of the top-Yukawa coupling is important to understand the fermion mass generation mechanism and dynamics of electroweak symmetry breaking. We discuss the top quark anomalous couplings which can be described by higher dimensional operators. We investigate the process $e^-e^+ \to W^-W^+ν\barν\to t \bar t ν\barν$ to study the contribution of the anomalous top-Higgs coupling to the cross section. The effect of the dimension-six top-Higgs interaction on the cross section can be a few hundred percent greater than the SM prediction. Such a large effect can be measured at the International…
We present the full $\mathcal{O}(α)$ electroweak radiative corrections to the process $e^+e^- \rightarrow t \bar{t} γ$ at the International Linear Collider (ILC). The computation is performed with the help of the GRACE-Loop system. We present the total cross-section and the top quark forward-backward asymmetry ($A_{FB}$) as a function of the center-of-mass energy and compare them with the process $e^+e^- \rightarrow t \bar{t}$. We find that the value of $A_{FB}$ in $t \bar{t} γ$ production is larger than $A_{FB}$ in $t\bar{t}$ production. It is an important result for the measurement of the to…
In supersymmetric models with radiatively-driven naturalness, higgsino-like electroweak-inos (EW-inos) are expected to lie in a mass range 100--300 GeV, the lighter the more natural. Such states can be pair-produced at high rates at ILC where their masses are nearly equal to the value of the superpotential mu parameter while their mass splittings depend on the gaugino masses M_1 and M_2. The gaugino masses in turn depend on trilinear soft terms---the A parameters, which are expected to lie in the multi-TeV range owing to the 125 GeV Higgs mass---via two-loop contributions to renormalization gr…
The ILC physics working group is a mixture of experimentalists and theorists mainly working in Japan. It has its origin in the previous LC physics study group and has been reformed with the initiative of a JSPS Creative Scientific Research project: "Research and Development of a Novel Detector System for the International Linear Collider". The working group is, however, formally independent of the JSPS project and is open to everybody who is interested in ILC physics. The primary task of the working group is to reexamine the ILC physics in the context of the expected LHC outcome and to further…

This article reviews the physics case for the ILC. Baseline running at 500 GeV as well as possible upgrades and options are discussed. The opportunities on Standard Model physics, Higgs physics, Supersymmetry and alternative theories beyond the Standard Model are described.
The prospects for electroweak precision physics at the LHC and the ILC are reviewed. This includes projections for measurements of the effective Z pole weak mixing angle, sin^2 theta_W (eff.), as well as top quark, W boson, and Higgs scalar properties. The upcoming years may also see very precise determinations of sin^2 theta_W (eff.) from lower energies.
The International Linear Collider has a rich physics programme, whatever lies beyond the standard model. Accurate measurement of the top quark mass is needed to constrain the model or its extensions. If there is a light Higgs boson the LHC should see it, but the ILC will pin down its characteristics and test them against model predictions. If Supersymmetric particles appear the ILC will measure a complementary set of them to those seen at the LHC, and may allow extrapolation to the Grand Unified scale. And if a strong electroweak sector is indicated the ILC will be sensitive to the presence of…
Electroweak precision measurements can provide indirect information about the possible scale of supersymmetry already at the present level of accuracy. We review present day sensitivities of precision data in mSUGRA-type models with the gravitino as the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP). The chi^2 fit is based on M_W, sin^2 theta_eff, (g-2)_mu, BR(b -> s gamma) and the lightest MSSM Higgs boson mass, M_h. We find indications for relatively light soft supersymmetry-breaking masses, offering good prospects for the LHC and the ILC, and in some cases also for the Tevatron.
The proposed International Linear Collider (ILC) is well-suited for discovering physics beyond the Standard Model and for precisely unravelling the structure of the underlying physics. The physics return of the ILC can be maximized by the use of polarized beams, in particular the simultaneous polarization of the e- and the e+ beam. Ongoing physics studies are accompanied by active R&D on the machine part for generating polarized beams and for measuring the polarization with high precision at the ILC. Some new results on the physics case and on the technical aspects of the polarization of both …
In this summary we review some recent developments in New Physics at the TeV scale. We concentrate on measurements at the ILC that can distinguish between some of the models that have recently been discussed, concentrating on results presented at this workshop: The Little Higgs Model, models of Large Extra Dimensions; Randall-Sundrum (RS), Arkani-Hamed Dimopoulos Dvali (ADD), and Universal Extra Dimensions (UED). Some recent results on constraining effective Lagrangian parametrizations of new physics are also presented.
We review the physics potential of the GigaZ option of the International Linear Collider (ILC) for probing the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) via the sensitivity of the electroweak precision observables measured at the ILC to quantum corrections. A particular focus is put on the effective leptonic weak mixing angle, sin^2_theta_eff. The MSSM predictions take into account the complete one-loop results including the full complex phase dependence, all available MSSM two-loop corrections as well as the full Standard Model (SM) results. We find that the anticipated experimental accura…
Recent progress in Higgs boson studies for the International e+e- Linear Collider (ILC) is reported. These studies include extended simulations of the measurement of the Higgs mass, measurements of the Higgs boson branching ratios at higher center-of-mass energies, and methods for extracting the Higgs boson self-coupling. Also, the interplay between the LHC and the ILC in the measurement of the top Yukawa coupling and in the extraction of the supersymmetric Higgs sector parameters is discussed.
The physics case for studying top-quark physics at the International Linear Collider is well established. This summary places in context the top-quark physics goals, examines the current state-of-the art in understanding of the top-quark mass, and identifies some areas in which the study of the top-quark mass enhances our understanding of new techniques.
The International Linear Collider (ILC) will advance our understanding of fundamental physics, through a program for precision measurements of the Higgs boson and of the top quark properties. An additional crucial goal of the ILC will be the direct discovery of light New Physics (NP) particles. This proceeding gives an overview of the ILC direct discovery potential. Special emphasis is dedicated to the discovery prospects for light hidden Supersymmetric particles, such as Higgsinos and staus. Furthermore, it will be extremely promising to have analyses aimed to the discovery of light hidden NP…
International Linear Collider (ILC) is an electron-positron collider with the initial center-of-mass energy of 500 GeV which is upgradable to about 1 TeV later on. Its goal is to study the physics at TeV scale with unprecedented high sensitivities. The main topics include precision measurements of the Higgs particle properties, studies of supersymmtric particles and the underlying theoretical structure if supersymmetry turns out to be realized in nature, probing alternative possibilities for the origin of mass, and the cosmological connections thereof. In many channels, Higgs and leptonic sect…
We study the effects of unparticle physics in the pair productions of top quarks at the LHC and ILC. By considering vector, tensor and scalar unparticle operators, as appropriate, we compute the total cross sections for pair production processes depending on scale dimension $d_{\U}$. We find that the existence of unparticles would lead to measurable enhancements on the SM predictions at the LHC. In the case of ILC this may become two orders of magnitude larger than that of SM, for smaller values of $d_\U$, a very striking signal for unparticles.
We report on the precision predictions for the $e^+e^-\to ZZγ$ process including $Z$-boson leptonic decays at the ILC in the standard model (SM). The calculation includes the full next-to-leading (NLO) electroweak (EW) corrections and high order initial state radiation (h.o.ISR) contributions. We find that the NLO EW corrections heavily suppress the LO cross section, and the h.o.ISR effects are notable near the threshold while become small in high energy region. We present the LO and the NLO EW+h.o.ISR corrected distributions of the transverse momenta of final $Z$-boson and photon as well as t…
Precise measurements of electroweak processes at the International Linear Collider (ILC) will provide unique opportunities to explore new physics beyond the Standard Model. Fermion pair productions are sensitive to a new contact interaction or a new heavy gauge boson by comparing cross section and angular distribution with expectations of the new physics models. In this proceedings we report a simulation study of fermion pair productions at a center-of-mass energy of 250 GeV, with a focus on lepton pairs, to demonstrate the potential of the first phase of the ILC.
In these proceedings we briefly review the basic concepts underlying indirect bounds on the Wilson coefficients of some Standard Model dimension-6 operators, relevant to electroweak and Higgs observables, obtained via renormalization group (RG) mixing to strongly constrained observables. With the present data we derive RG-induced bounds, stronger than the direct constraints, on some Higgs couplings and anomalous triple gauge couplings. Any deviation from these bounds would suggest a particular pattern of correlations among the Wilson coefficients, thus offering a new window on the new physics …
We study the possibility of using W pair production and leptonic decay of one of the W's at the ILC with polarized beams as a probe of the Littlest Higgs Model. We consider cross-sections, polarization fractions of the W's, leptonic decay energy and angular distributions, and left-right polarization asymmetry as probes of the model. With parameter values allowed by present experimental constraints detectable effects on these observables at typical ILC energies of 500 GeV and 800 GeV will be present. Beam polarization is further found to enhance the sensitivity.
The International Linear e+e- Collider (ILC) could go into operation in the second half of the upcoming decade. Experimental analyses and theory calculations for the physics at the ILC are currently performed. We review recent progress, as presented at the LCWS06 in Bangalore, India, in the fields of Higgs boson physics and top/QCD. Also the area of loop calculations, necessary to achieve the required theory precision, is included.
At the International Linear Collider large beam polarization of both the electron and positron beams will enhance the signature of physics due to interactions that are beyond the Standard Model. Here we review our recently obtained results on a general model independent method of determining for an arbitary one-particle inclusive state the space-time structure of such new physics through the beam polarization dependence and angular distribution of the final state particle.
We re-evaluate prospects for supersymmetry at the proposed International Linear $e^+e^-$ Collider (ILC) in light of the first year of serious data taking at LHC with $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV and $\sim 5$ fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions (LHC7). Strong new limits from LHC SUSY searches, along with a hint of a Higgs boson signal around $m_h\sim 125$ GeV, suggest a paradigm shift from previously popular models to ones with new and compelling signatures. We present a variety of new ILC benchmark models, including: natural SUSY, hidden SUSY, NUHM2 with low $m_A$, non-universal gaugino mass (NUGM) model, pMSSM,…
