A non-parametric Plateau problem with partial free boundary

We consider a Plateau problem in codimension $1$ in the non-parametric setting. A Dirichlet boundary datum is given only on part of the boundary $\partial Ω$ of a bounded convex domain $Ω\subset\mathbb{R}^2$. Where the Dirichlet datum is not prescribed, we allow a free contact with the horizontal plane. We show existence of a solution, and prove regularity for the corresponding minimal surface. Finally we compare these solutions with the classical minimal surfaces of Meeks and Yau, and show that they are equivalent when the Dirichlet boundary datum is assigned in at most $2$ disjoint arcs of $\partial Ω$.

We study the problem of finding a minimal graph with prescribed boundary data in arbitrary dimension and codimension. Existence, uniqueness, stability and regularity are treated. We first present the well-known results for codimension one: Jenkins-Serrin's existence theorem, convexity properties of the area which give uniqueness and stability and De Giorgi's theorem for regularity. Parametric Factorizations of Second-, Third- and Fourth-Order Linear Partial Differential Operators with a Completely Factorable Symbol on the Plane

Parametric factorizations of linear partial operators on the plane are considered for operators of orders two, three and four. The operators are assumed to have a completely factorable symbol. It is proved that ``irreducible'' parametric factorizations may exist only for a few certain types of factorizations. Examples are given of the parametric families for each of the possible types. For the operators of orders two and three, it is shown that any factorization family is parameterized by a single univariate function (which can be a constant function).

On parametric Gevrey asymptotics for singularly perturbed partial differential equations with delays

We study a family of singularly perturbed $q-$difference-differential equations in the complex domain. We provide sectorial holomorphic solutions in the perturbation parameter $ε$. Moreover, we achieve the existence of a common formal power series in $ε$ which represents each actual solution, and establish $q-$Gevrey estimates involved in this representation. The proof of the main result rests on a new version of the so-called Malgrange-Sibuya Theorem regarding $q-$Gevrey asymptotics. A particular Dirichlet like series is studied on the way.

Nematic liquid crystal flow with partially free boundary

We study a simplified Ericksen-Leslie system modeling the flow of nematic liquid crystals with partially free boundary conditions. It is a coupled system between the Navier-Stokes equation for the fluid velocity with a transported heat flow of harmonic maps, and both of these parabolic equations are critical for analysis in two dimensions.
