Consider operators $L^{V}:=Δ+ V$ in a bounded Lipschitz domain $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^N$. Assume that $V\in C^{1,1}(Ω)$ and $V$ satisfies $V(x) \leq \overline{a} \mathrm{dist}(x,\partialΩ)^{-2}$ in $Ω$ and a second condition that guarantees the existence of a ground state $Φ_V$. If, for example, $V>0$ this condition reads $1<c_H(V)$ (= the Hardy constant relative to $V$). We derive estimates of positive $L_V$ harmonic functions and of positive Green potentials of measures $τ\in {\mathfrak M}_+(Ω;Φ_V)$. These imply estimates of positive $L_V$ supersolutions and of $L_V$ subsolutions. Similar results have been obtained in [7] in the case of smooth domains.
In this note we reprove the Lipschitz stability for the inverse problem for the Schrödinger operator with finite-dimensional potentials by using quantitative Runge approximation results. This provides a quantification of the Schrödinger version of the argument from Kohn and Vogelius in Comm. Pure Appl. Math. (1985) and presents a slight variant of the strategy considered by Alessandrini, de Hoop, Gaburro and Sincich in Asymptotic Analysis (2018) which may prove useful also in the context of more general operators.
Generalized Robin Boundary Conditions, Robin-to-Dirichlet Maps, and Krein-Type Resolvent Formulas for Schrödinger Operators on Bounded Lipschitz Domains
We develop a sharp boundary trace theory in arbitrary bounded Lipschitz domains which, in contrast to classical results, allows "forbidden" endpoints and permits the consideration of functions exhibiting very limited regularity. This is done at the (necessary) expense of stipulating an additional regularity condition involving the action of the Laplacian on the functions in question which, nonetheless, works perfectly with the Dirichlet and Neumann realizations of the Schrödinger differential expression $-Δ+V$. In turn, this boundary trace theory serves as a platform for developing a spectral …
In this paper local Lipschitz regularity of weak solutions to certain singular elliptic equations involving one-Laplacian is studied. Equations treated here also contains another well-behaving elliptic operator such as $p$-Laplacian with $1<p<\infty$. The problem is that one-Laplacian is too singular on degenerate points, what is often called facet, which makes it difficult to obtain even Lipschitz regularity of weak solutions. This difficulty is overcome by making suitable approximation schemes, and by avoiding analysis on facet for approximated solutions. The key estimate is a local a priori…
In this paper, we consider Kirchhoff-Schrodinger equations with singular exponential nonlinearities in R^4,using singular Adams inequality and variational techniques, we get the existence of ground state solutions. Moreover, we also get the same results without the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz (AR) condition.
In this note we consider the self-adjoint Schrödinger operator $\mathsf{A}_α$ in $L^2(\mathbb{R}^d)$, $d\geq 2$, with a $δ$-potential supported on a Lipschitz hypersurface $Σ\subseteq\mathbb{R}^d$ of strength $α\in L^p(Σ)+L^\infty(Σ)$. We show the uniqueness of the ground state and, under some additional conditions on the coefficient $α$ and the hypersurface $Σ$, we determine the essential spectrum of $\mathsf{A}_α$. In the special case that $Σ$ is a hyperplane we obtain a Birman-Schwinger principle with a relativistic Schrödinger operator as Birman-Schwinger operator. As an application we pro…
In this work, we use monotonicity-based methods for the fractional Schrödinger equation with general potentials $q\in L^\infty(Ω)$ in a Lipschitz bounded open set $Ω\subset \mathbb R^n$ in any dimension $n\in \mathbb N$. We demonstrate that if-and-only-if monotonicity relations between potentials and the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map hold up to a finite dimensional subspace. Based on these if-and-only-if monotonicity relations, we derive a constructive global uniqueness results for the fractional Calderón problem and its linearized version. We also derive a reconstruction method for unknown obstacl…
In this paper we are concerned with existence of positive solutions for a Schrödinger-Maxwell system with singular or strongly-singular terms. We overcome the difficulty given by the singular terms through an approximation scheme and controlling the approximated sequences of solutions with suitable barriers from above and from below. Besides this, in some particular case, we show that the unique energy solution of the singular system is a saddle point of a suitable functional.
We consider the Schrödinger equation with singular position dependent effective mass and prove that it is very weakly well posed. A uniqueness result is proved in an appropriate sense, moreover, we prove the consistency with the classical theory. In particular, this allows one to consider Delta-like or more singular masses.
In this paper we consider the space-fractional Schrödinger equation with a singular potential for a wide class of fractional hypoelliptic operators. Such analysis can be conveniently realised in the setting of graded Lie groups. The paper is a continuation and extension of a previous one where the classical Schrödinger equation on $\mathbb R^n$ with singular potentials was considered.
In this paper, the space-fractional Schrödinger equations with singular potentials are studied. Delta-like or even higher-order singularities are allowed. By using the regularising techniques, we introduce a family of 'weakened' solutions, calling them very weak solutions. The existence, uniqueness and consistency results are proved in an appropriate sense. Numerical simulations are done, and a particle accumulating effect is observed in the singular cases. From the mathematical point of view, a "splitting of the strong singularity" phenomena is also observed.
We consider the Dirichlet and Neumann problems for second-order linear elliptic equations: \[ -\triangle u +\mathrm{div}(u\mathbf{b}) =f \quad\text{ and }\quad -\triangle v -\mathbf{b} \cdot \nabla v =g \] in a bounded Lipschitz domain $Ω$ in $\mathbb{R}^n$ $(n\geq 3)$, where $\mathbf{b}:Ω\rightarrow \mathbb{R}^n$ is a given vector field. Under the assumption that $\mathbf{b} \in L^{n}(Ω)^n$, we first establish existence and uniqueness of solutions in $L_α^{p}(Ω)$ for the Dirichlet and Neumann problems. Here $L_α^{p}(Ω)$ denotes the Sobolev space (or Bessel potential space) with the pair $(α,p…
Local behavior of solutions of the stationary Schr\" odinger equation with singular potentials and bounds on the density of states of Schrödinger operators
There have been a lot of works concerning the Strichartz estimates for the perturbed Schrödinger equation by potential. These can be basically carried out adopting the well-known procedure for obtaining the Strichartz estimates from the weighted $L^2$ resolvent estimates for the Laplacian. In this paper we handle the Strichartz estimates without relying on the resolvent estimates. This enables us to consider various potential classes such as the Morrey-Campanato classes.
An arbitrary outward cuspidal domain is shown to be bi-Lipschitz equivalent to a Lipschitz outward cuspidal domain via a global transformation. This allows us to extend earlier Sobolev extension results on Lipschitz outward cuspidal domains from the work of Maz'ya and Poborchi to arbitrary outward cuspidal domains. We also establish a limit case of extension results on outward cuspidal domains.
The aim of this paper is to provide uniform estimates for the eigenvalue spacings of one-dimensional semiclassical Schrödinger operators with singular potentials on the half-line. We introduce a new development of semiclassical measures related to families of Schrödinger operators that provides a means of establishing uniform non-concentration estimates within that class of operators. This dramatically simplifies analysis that would typically require detailed WKB expansions near the turning point, near the singular point and several gluing type results to connect various regions in the domain.
