Motivated by the latest discovery of doubly-charmed tetraquark $T^+_{cc}$ by LHCb collaboration, we have studied the magnetic moments of the possible doubly-heavy pentaquark states with quantum numbers $J^P = 1/2^-$ and $J^P = 3/2^-$ within the light-cone sum rules method. In the analysis, these possible pentaquark states are considered in diquark-diquark-antiquark structure. The magnetic moments of hadrons encode helpful details about the distributions of the charge and magnetization inside the hadrons, which help us to figure out their geometric configurations. As a by product, the electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments of the spin-3/2 doubly-heavy pentaquark states are also extracted. These values show a non-spherical charge distribution. It will be interesting and useful to examine the magnetic moments of these possible doubly-heavy pentaquark states with different theoretical approaches.
We perform a systematic exploration of the possible doubly charmed molecular pentaquarks composed of $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ with the one-boson-exchange potential model. After taking into account the $S-D$ wave mixing and the coupled channel effects, we predict several possible doubly charmed molecular pentaquarks, which include the $Σ_cD$ with $I(J^P) = 1/2(1/2^-)$, $Σ_c^*D$ with $1/2(3/2^-)$, and $Σ_cD^*$ with $1/2(1/2^-)$, $1/2(3/2^-)$. The $Σ_cD$ state with $3/2(1/2^-)$ and $Σ_cD^*$ state with $3/2(1/2^-)$ may also be suggested as candidates of doubly charmed molecular pentaquarks. The $Σ_cD$ a…
In this work, we discuss the electromagnetic properties of the $S$-wave $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$-type doubly charmed molecular pentaquarks, which have close relation to their inner structures. Both the $S$-$D$ wave mixing effect and the coupled channel effect are taken into account. We analyze the magnetic moments for the $S$-wave $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ molecular states, and extend our theoretical framework to study the transition magnetic moments and the radiative decay widths between the $S$-wave $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ molecules. We discuss the relations between the magnetic moments and the transition mag…
In this article, we study the doubly heavy baryon states and pentaquark states with the QCD sum rules by carrying out the operator product expansion up to the vacuum condensates of dimension $7$ and $13$ respectively in a consistent way. In calculations, we separate the contributions of the negative parity and positive parity hadron states unambiguously, and study the masses and pole residues of the doubly heavy baryon states and pentaquark states in details. The present predictions can be confronted to the experimental data in the future.
We investigate the electromagnetic properties of possible charm-strange pentaquarks in the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rule using the photon distribution amplitudes. In particular, by calculating the corresponding electromagnetic form factors defining the radiative transitions under consideration we estimate the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of the pentaquark systems of a charm, an anti-strange and three light quarks. We observe that the values of magnetic dipole moments are considerably large, however, the quadrupole moments are very small. Any future measurements of…
The LHCb Collaboration, using its full data set from runs $1$ and $2$, announced in $2019$ a surprising update of the hidden-charm pentaquark states $P_c(4380)^+$ and $P_c(4450)^+$, observed in 2015. A new state, $P_c(4312)^+$, was clearly seen at lower energies; furthermore, the original $P_c(4450)$ resonance was resolved into two individual states, named the $P_c(4440)^+$ and the $P_c(4457)^+$. Motivated by the fact that these new hidden-charm pentaquark states were successfully predicted by our chiral quark model, we extend herein such study to the doubly charmed sector. The analyzed total …
We calculate the electromagnetic multipole moments of the $P_c^+(4380)$ pentaquark by modeling it as the diquark-diquark-antiquark and $\bar D^*Σ_c$ molecular state with quantum numbers $J^P = \frac{3}{2}^-$. In particular, the magnetic dipole, electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments of this particle are extracted in the framework of light-cone QCD sum rule. The values of the electromagnetic multipole moments obtained via two pictures differ substantially from each other, which can be used to pin down the underlying structure of $P_c^+(4380)$. The comparison of any future experimenta…
We study the masses and lifetimes of doubly charmed pentaquark $P_{cc\bar qqq}(q=u,d,s)$ primarily. The operation of masses carried out by the doubly heavy triquark-diquark model, whose results suggests the existence of stable states $cc\bar s ud$ with the parity $J^P=\frac{1}{2}^-$. The roughly calculation about lifetimes show the short magnitudes, $(4.65^{+0.71}_{-0.55})\times 10^{-13}s $ for the parity $J^P=\frac{1}{2}^-$ and $(0.93^{+0.14}_{-0.11})\times 10^{-12} s $ for $J^P=\frac{3}{2}^-$. Since the pentaquark $cc\bar s ud$ is interpreted as the stable bound states against strong decays,…
We perform a systematic study on the interactions of the $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ systems within the framework of chiral effective field theory. We introduce the contact term, one-pion-exchange and two-pion-exchange contributions to describe the short-, long-, and intermediate-range interactions. The low energy constants of the $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ systems are estimated from the $N\bar{N}$ scattering data by introducing a quark level Lagrangian. With three solutions of LECs, all the $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ systems with isospin $I=1/2$ can form bound states, in which different inputs of LECs may lead to dis…
Motivated by the very recent observations of hidden charm pentaquarks $P_c(4312)^+$, $P_c(4440)^+$ and $P_c(4457)^+$ of the LHCb Collaboration, we systematically study the spectra of the doubly-heavy (with or without charm/bottom numbers) pentaquarks and tetraquarks in non-relativistic constituent quark model. The model independent variational method is employed to solve the Schrödinger equation, where the test functions adopted are symmetric for the light quarks. In our study, the $P_c(4312)^+$ may be assigned as the ground state with spin-parity $\frac{1}{2}^-$ or $\frac{3}{2}^-$, while the …
Inspired by the observation of the $P_{cs}(4459)$ and $P_{ψs}^Λ(4338)$, we systematically investigate the magnetic moments, the transition magnetic moments, and the radiative decay behaviors of the $S$-wave isoscalar $Ξ_c^{(\prime)}\bar D^{(*)}$ molecular pentaquark states in this work. Our quantitative investigation shows that their electromagnetic properties can provide important hint to decode the inner structure of these discussed isoscalar $Ξ_c^{(\prime)}\bar D^{*}$ molecular pentaquarks. As the potential research issue, we suggest future experiment to focus on the electromagnetic propert…
We study hadronic molecular states in a coupled system of $J/ψN - Λ_c\bar{D}^{(*)} - Σ_c^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ in $I(J^P) = \frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^-)$ channel, using the complex scaling method combined with the Gaussian expansion method. We construct the potential including one pion exchange and one $D^{(*)}$ meson exchange with $S$-wave orbital angular momentum. We find that the both mass and width of the pentaquark $P_c(4380)$ can be reproduced within a reasonable parameter region, and that its main decay mode is $Λ_c\bar{D}^*$. We extend our analysis to a coupled system of $Λ_c D^{(*)} - Σ_c…
We discuss the mass splittings for the $S$-wave triply heavy pentaquark states with the $QQQq\bar{q}$ $(Q=b,c;q=u,d,s)$ configuration which is a mirror structure of $Q\bar{Q}qqq$. The latter configuration is related with the nature of $P_c(4380)$ observed by the LHCb Collaboration. The considered pentaquark masses are roughly estimated with a simple method. One finds that such states are probably not narrow even if they do exist. This leaves room for molecule interpretation for a state around the low-lying threshold of a doubly heavy baryon and a heavy-light meson, e.g. $Ξ_{cc}D$, if it were o…
In this contribution, we discuss the electromagnetic couplings of pentaquark states with hidden charm. This work is motivated by recent experiments at CERN by the LHCb Collaboraton and current experiments at JLab to confirm the existence of hidden-charm pentaquarks in photoproduction experiments.
We investigate three possible pentaquark candidates, one of which contains a single charm quark and the other two contain triple charm quarks in their substructure. To this end we apply QCD sum rule method and take into account both the positive and negative parity states corresponding to each possible pentaquark channel having spin $3/2$ or $1/2$. Insisting on the importance of identification of the members of pentaquark family we obtain their spectroscopic parameters such as masses and residues. These parameters are the main inputs in the searches for their electromagnetic, strong and weak i…
We explore the consequences of heavy flavour, heavy quark spin and heavy antiquark-diquark symmetries for hadronic molecules within an effective field theory framework.. Owing to heavy antiquark-diquark symmetry, the doubly heavy baryons have approximately the same light-quark structure as the heavy antimesons. As a consequence, the existence of a heavy meson-antimeson molecule implies the possibility of a partner composed of a heavy meson and a doubly-heavy baryon. In this regard, the D\bar D* molecular nature of the X(3872) will hint at the existence of several baryonic partners with isospin…
In this article, we study the magnetic moment of the pentaquark $ Θ^+(1540)$ as (scalar)diquark-(pseudoscalar)diquark-antiquark state with the QCD sum rules approach in the external electromagnetic field. Due to the special structure of the interpolating current, only the electromagnetic interactions of the $s$ quark with the external field have contributions to the magnetic moment with tensor structure $\{σ_{μν} {\hat p} +{\hat p}σ_{μν}\}$. The numerical results indicate the magnetic moment of the pentaquark state $ Θ^+(1540)$ is about $μ_{Θ^+}=(0.16\pm0.03)μ_N$.
In this article, we study the magnetic moment of the pentaquark state $ Θ^+(1540)$ with the QCD sum rules approach in the external electromagnetic field. The numerical results indicate the magnetic moment of the pentaquark state $ Θ^+(1540)$ is about $μ_{Θ^+}=(0.24\pm0.02)μ_N$.
We study the electromagnetic form factors of the doubly charmed baryons, using covariant chiral perturbation theory within the extended on-mass-shell (EOMS) scheme. Vector-meson contributions are also taken into account. We present results for the baryon magnetic moments, charge and magnetic radii. While some of the chiral Lagrangian parameters could be set to values determined in previous works, the available lattice results for $Ξ_{cc}^+$ and $Ω_{cc}^+$ only allow for robust constraints on the low-energy constant (LEC) combination, $c_{89}(=-\frac{1}{3}c_8+4c_9)$. The couplings of the doubly…
Probing the electromagnetic structure of the $P_c(4337)^+$ pentaquark: Insights from a diquark-diquark-antiquark picture for $J^P = \frac{1}{2}^-$ and $\frac{3}{2}^-$ states
We study the stability of hexaquark systems containing two heavy quarks and four light quarks within a simple quark model. No bound or metastable state is found. The reason stems on a delicate interplay between chromoelectric and chromomagnetic effects. Our calculation provides also information about anticharmed pentaquarks that are seemingly unbound in simple quark models.
We develop an extension of the usual three flavor quark model to four flavors (u, d, s and c), and discuss the classification of pentaquark states with hidden charm. We fit our model to the known baryon spectrum and we predict the double and triple charm baryons, finding good agreement with the most recent lattice QCD calculations. We compute the the ground state of hidden charm pentaquarks and their associated magnetic moments and electromagnetic couplings, of interest to pentaquark photoproduction experiments.
Studying scattering of heavy flavor hadrons and looking for bound states is shown to give experimental information otherwise unobtainable about effective two-body interactions between constituent $(qq)_6$ and $(\bar qq)_8$ pairs respectively in color sextet and color octet states. All the successes of the constituent quark model in $(uds)$ hadron spectroscopy are shown to depend only on effective two-body interactions in color $3^*$ and singlet states. New directions for bound pentaquark searches are discussed following the availability of vertex detectors which can pinpoint events where a pro…
We compute the electromagnetic properties of Ξ_cc baryons in 2+1 flavor Lattice QCD. By measuring the electric charge and magnetic form factors of Ξ_cc baryons, we extract the magnetic moments, charge and magnetic radii as well as the Ξ_cc Ξ_cc ρcoupling constant, which provide important information to understand the size, shape and couplings of the doubly charmed baryons. We find that the two heavy charm quarks drive the charge radii and the magnetic moment of Ξ_cc to smaller values as compared to those of, e.g., the proton.
We use the method of light-cone sum rules to study the electromagnetic transition of the $Ξ^{*++}_{cc}$ into $Ξ^{++}_{cc}γ$, whose decay width is estimated to be $13.7~{^{+17.7}_{-~7.9}}$ keV. This value is large enough for the $Ξ^{*++}_{cc}$ to be observed in the $Ξ^{++}_{cc}γ$ channel, and we propose to continually search for it in future LHCb and BelleII experiments.
We study the three-body $Λ_b$ decays of $Λ_b\to J/ψpM$ with $M=K^-$ and $π^-$. The two new states ${\cal P}_{c1}\equiv {\cal P}_c(4380)^+$ and ${\cal P}_{c2}\equiv {\cal P}_c(4450)^+$ observed recently as the resonances in the $J/ψp$ invariant mass spectrum of $Λ_b\to J/ψp K^-$ can be identified to consist of five quarks, $uudc\bar c$, being consistent with the existence of the pentaquark states. We argue that, in the doubly charmful $Λ_b$ decays of $Λ_b\to J/ψpK^-$ through $b\to c\bar c s$, apart from those through the non-resonant $Λ_b\to pK^-$ and resonant $Λ_b\to Λ^*\to pK^-$ transitions, …
I present results of a heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory analysis of the decays and masses of the recently discovered excited charm mesons. The present data on the electromagnetic branching ratios are consistent with heavy quark symmetry predictions and disfavor a molecular interpretation of these states. I also discuss model independent predictions for the strong decays of pentaquarks in the 10-bar representation of SU(3) which can be used to constrain the angular momentum and parity quantum numbers of these states.
The magnetic dipole moments of the spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ doubly heavy baryons are extracted in the framework of light-cone QCD sum rule. The electromagnetic properties of the doubly heavy baryons encodes important information of their internal structure. The results for the magnetic dipole moments of doubly heavy baryons acquired in this work are compared with the predictions of the other theoretical approaches.
The spectrum of heavy-hadron molecules is constrained by heavy-quark symmetry in its different manifestations. Heavy-quark spin symmetry for instance connects the properties of the ground and excited states of heavy hadrons, while heavy-antiquark-diquark symmetry connects the properties of heavy antimesons ($\bar{D}$, $\bar{D}^*$) and doubly heavy baryons ($Ξ_{cc}$, $Ξ_{cc}^*$). A prediction of these symmetries is that if the $P_c(4450)$ is indeed a $\bar{D}^* Σ_c$ bound state, then there should be a series of $\bar{D}^* Σ_c^*$, $Ξ_{cc} Σ_c$, $Ξ_{cc}^* Σ_c$, $Ξ_{cc} Σ_c^*$ and $Ξ_{cc}^* Σ_c^*$…
