In this paper, we first construct a Lie algebra $L$ from rank 3 quantum torus, and show that it is isomorphic to the core of EALAs of type $A_1$ with coordinates in rank 2 quantum torus. We study a class of algebras with non-Lie commutation relations whose symplectic leaves are surfaces of revolution: a cylinder or a torus. Over each of such surfaces we introduce a family of complex structures and Hilbert spaces of antiholomorphic sections in which the irreducible Hermitian representations of the original algebra are realized. The reproducing kernels of these spaces are expressed in terms of the Riemann theta-function and its modifications. A symmetry extending the $T^2$-symmetry of the noncommutative torus $T^2_q$ is studied in the category of quantum groups. This extended symmetry is given by the quantum double-torus defined as a compact matrix quantum group consisting of the disjoint union of $T^2$ and $T^2_{q^2}$. The bicross-product structure of the polynomial Hopf algebra of the quantum double-torus is computed. The Haar measure and the complete list of unitary irreducible representations of the quantum double-torus are determined explicitly.

In this paper, for every $ε\in \mathbb{Z}$, we introduce an extension of the 2-toroidal Lie algebra by certain derivations. Based on the $ϕ_ε$-coordinated modules theory for vertex algebras, we give an explicit realization of a class of irreducible highest weight modules for this extended toroidal Lie algebra. When $ε=1$, this affords a realization of certain irreducible modules for the toroidal extended affine Lie algebras first constructed by Billig.
In this paper, we compute the derivations of the positive part of the two-parameter quantum group of type $G_2$ by embedding it into a quantum torus. We also show that the Hochschild cohomology group of degree $1$ of this algebra is a two dimensional vector space over the complex field.

We obtain several results about representations of rational Cherednik algebras, and discuss their applications. Our first result is the Cohen-Macaulayness property (as modules over the polynomial ring) of Cherednik algebra modules with minimal support. Our second result is an explicit formula for the character of an irreducible minimal support module in type A_{n-1} for c=m/n, and an expression of its quasispherical part (i.e., the isotypic part of "hooks") in terms of the HOMFLY polynomial of a torus knot colored by a Young diagram. For every finite dimensional Lie group one can consider the group of all smooth loops on it, called its loop group. Such loop groups have long been studied for, among other reasons, their relations to conformal field theories and topological quantum field theories. We compute the Picard group $ Pic(A_q) $ of the noncommutative algebraic 2-torus $A_q$, describe its action on the space $ R(A_q) $ of isomorphism classes of rk 1 projective modules and classify the algebras Morita equivalent to $ A_q $. Our computations are based on a quantum version of the Calogero-Moser correspondence relating projective $A_q$-modules to irreducible representations of the double affine Hecke algebras (DAHA) $ H_{t, q^{-1/2}}(S_n) $ at $ t = 1 $.
